I felt my phone buzz in my pocket for what I thought it was my alarm to go to my next class, but it was really a text from Autumn.

"Call me." ~Autumn

"Okay." ~Trevor

I began to smile at the text and then put it down before looking around the campus. My eyes landed on her once again and I shook my head as I got up to leave. But I heard her voice before I could go any further, so I pretended that I didn't hear her. That's when I heard fast footsteps behind me and then someone jumped on my back.

Courtney: I said.. Hey Trevor!

Trevor: Damn Courtney! What you doing?

Courtney: I'm not saying anything until you answer me.

I sighed.

Trevor: Hello Courtney..

I replied sarcastically, but she smiled anyway.

Courtney: That's better.

She kissed my cheek and tapped my chest twice.

Courtney: You can put me down now.

I dropped her like a hot tamale but she still was able to land on her feet. Then she caught up with me after she caught her balance.

Courtney: So..?

She said as she walked backwards to face me.

Trevor: What do you want, Courtney?

Courtney: Who is she?

Trevor: Who's who, Courtney?

Courtney: Your girlfriend. Who is she?

She cheesed and then tripped on the first step. I chuckled.

Trevor: Why you wanna know so much about her?

Courtney: I don't know-.

She grinned and I eyed her before looking down.

Courtney: Now why on earth would I go through all that just to get back with my old man?

I chuckled as I shook my head.

Trevor: Yeah, well I don't think you noticed her anyway..

Courtney: Ah ha! So I do know her! What's her name?

I stared at her a long time before finally answering her.

Trevor: Autumn.

Courtney: Autumn?

Trevor: Yeah. My friend Autumn. The one whom everyone thought I'd dated on the low.

Courtney: Autumn Summers?

Trevor: Yeah.

Courtney: The freshman?

She seemed disgusted.

Trevor: She's graduated now..

Courtney: Okay Trevor.

She giggled as if she had just said a cruel joke.

Trevor: What? You got a problem with that?

Courtney: No! It's just that.. I thought you'd do better than that.

Trevor: What do you mean, better?

Courtney: I just mean that.. I thought that you'd pick someone more.. With experience.

Before I went off on her, I wanted an explanation for her rudeness. I crossed my arms and legs as I leaned again the brick wall that held the plants.

Trevor: Could you.. Could you just explain that to me?

Courtney: Like..

Trevor: Like what? What do you mean?

Courtney: Calm down, Trevor. All I'm saying is that..

She sighed.

Courtney: The girl's 18, Trevor. And you're 21 now.

Trevor: And? So what? She and I are legal now.

Yeah, I kinda forgot to mention that I turned 21 on yesterday to Autumn.

Courtney: Nevermind. You're missing the point.

Trevor: What point is there, Courtney? Autumn's the perfect example of what I need. And what I don't need is someone like you telling me who's good for me and who's not.

My alarm on my phone went off for me to go to my next class.

Trevor: Now if you'll excuse me, I have a class to get to.

I heard her sigh behind me, but I had no intention of turning back. Not this time.

I got bored so quickly, I decided to have Jacob call me. So I texted him. After a couple of seconds, I got his reply. Then I smiled, but it faded once a few minutes flew by. Why hasn't he called me yet? I sighed and then I decided to call him myself. So I unlocked my phone and froze. I had texted the wrong person. But it's okay, because then he'll think I'm thinking about him. Ugh! No, that's cheating! But it's not cheating if we're not together.. Trevor doesn't get out of class until like.. 5 today, so I got time. I decided to call Nicole to pass the time.

Nicole: What up, B?

She said I her Nikki Minaj voice.

Autumn: What's gooooood?

I hollered into the phone. I was extremely happy now that she picked up.

Nicole: Nothing. Just chillin.

Autumn: With Diggy, I bet.

Nicole: How much?

Autumn: Five dollars.

Nicole: Well, that's five dollars you just lost!

She laughed into the phone.

Autumn: Imma pay you back next week!

I laughed.

Autumn: Bored. Why don't you come over?

Nicole: I was about to ask you the same thing.

She sighed.

Nicole: Yeah, well I guess I'll see you in five.

I laughed as she hung up. I smiled at the phone. She's so crazy. She was at my house in no time. And when I opened up the door, she had a certain look on her face.

Nicole: Notice anything different?

Autumn: You didn't..

Nicole: What?

She grinned?

Autumn: Nicole, I'm telling you right now. If you got engaged and you didn't tell me, I'm gonna have to kill you.

She started smiling really hard.

Nicole: I got engaged!

I screamed in excitement.

Autumn: How? When? Where? What?

Nicole: Well, Diggy took me out to a nice place one night. I mean, the whole thing was rented out and everything. The food was nice and he proposed there. Then when we got back to his place, he asked me to stay the night with him. Nothing happened, it was just us talking and then we fell asleep together.

Autumn: And when?

Nicole: You know that day when you were really pissed off at Trevor and I came over to comfort you?

Autumn: Yeah?

Nicole: It was the night before that.

Autumn: And you didn't tell me, why?

Nicole: Well, I didn't want you to get depressed over my happy news when you're stuck in a hole, so..

I sighed.

Autumn: I still wish you would've told me.

Nicole: I just did.

I rolled my eyes.

Autumn: Whateva.

I looked down at her ring. What size of the ring's diamond? At least enough to express who she's engaged to! The perfect couple and the perfect ring to match their relationship.

Nicole: So, how long til Trevor come back?

Autumn: He ain't even been here yet.. Why?

Nicole: I wanna go back home and catch some Z's before Diggy calls me to hit up the gym.

Autumn: Can I come with y'all?

She shrugged.

Nicole: I mean, you can go in my place cause I told him no.

Autumn: Why?

Nicole: Because my muscles are sore and I can't do that literally every single day.

Then she paused to think about it.

Nicole: But I sho as hell do love it when he makes his hand massage my back and relax me..

I grinned at her facial expressions.

Nicole: The hell you lookin at me all cock eyed for?

Autumn: Well excuse me madam, but you seem to be getting hot under there..

She fell out laughing and I did too. Time flew by with Nicy and pretty soon, there was a knock at the door.
