While I was driving, I decided to go see my Grandma. So I called her.

Grandma: Hello?

Trevor: Hey Grandma.

Grandma: Hey baby, how are you?

I sighed.

Trevor: I.. I'm doing good..

Grandma: What I tell you about that lying?

I put my head back onto the seat and looked up at the ceiling.

Trevor: I'm sorry Grandma, I just.. Are you home?

I sighed.

Grandma: Always baby. You need to come over?

Trevor: Yeah.. I mean, yes ma'am. I do.

Grandma: Come on over so we can talk.

Trevor: Alright. See you there.

Grandma: Love You.

Trevor: I Love You too.

I hung up the phone and got on the road to go to her house. Once I got there, I went inside and sat down on the end of her bed.

Grandma: What's wrong, baby?

Trevor: It's Autumn. I just.. I'm worried about her..

Grandma: Remember what I told you about fear..

Trevor: I do, but this is something different. It's hard not to be afraid if the fear is already within you. Like my fear of losing you..

I looked up at her and she took a hold of my hands.

Grandma: Calm down and talk to me. Now what's wrong?

Trevor: Autumn started talking to Jacob again and his memory is terrible. Therefore, I have no idea if he has a plan to get Autumn back, but I don't want her to end up back where she was and on top of that, I.. Told her I loved her.. By accident..

Grandma just looked at me for a while before responding.

Grandma: And what happened after that?

Trevor: She didn't say anything after that and left.. But today she brought it up and was upset because she wanted to know if I meant what I said.

Grandma: And?

Trevor: I just told her that I was caught up in the moment and that my feelings aren't there yet for her..

Grandma: Well, I can't blame her for being mad if you lied like that. Especially after all that she's been through with that boy. You can't play with a woman's heart babe..

Trevor: But I'm not! I never meant to say those words to her so soon. I just.. I don't know..

She took one good look at me before responding.

Grandma: Trevor, listen to me. I know that getting over that girl is hard, but you have to face the truth when it comes. Now you need to seriously ask yourself if you truly love Autumn, or if she's just a rebound off Courtney.

I looked at her.

Trevor: Rebound? Grandma, what you know about some rebound?

Grandma: Nevermind that, just answer the question.

I took a deep breath before blowing it out of my lungs.

Trevor: Okay..

When Trevor left, I watched him go out the door. I just couldn't go through the same playground of games that I went through with Jacob. When the door closed, I sighed and turned around to see Nicole looking at me.

Nicole: Feel bad yet?

I shook my head.

Autumn: No.. I just.. I don't know..

I sighed as I leaned up against the wall. I could hear the tires of his car rolling against the rocks as he drove away.

Nicole: Girl, you gotta calm down, okay?

Autumn: Nicole, it ain't easy! I just don't know what to do anymore.. You think that Trevor and I should just take a break?

Nicole: Hell no! If anything, you and Trevor should just kiss and make up without using sex.

I rolled my eyes.

Autumn: Oh please. Like I'd sleep with Trevor..

Nicole: You slept with Jacob. Why not?

I sighed.

Autumn: Maybe he's right, you know?

Nicole: Right about what?

Autumn: About Jacob..

Nicole: Uh duh! Jacob is bad for you! Trevor is a good one, okay? Keep him and forget Jacob.

I stood up.

Autumn: But you don't understand. Jacob was my first and he'll always have my heart. But he will never again have my love. Yes, we can still be friends, but the moment he crosses that boundary, it's over.

Nicole: Like I said, don't make Trevor pay for his mistakes.

She said before Diggy walked toward us.

Diggy: Everything alright in here?

Nicole smiled.

Nicole: Yeah. Autumn here just needed a pep talk, as usual.

Diggy chuckled.

Diggy: Well now that that's over wit, let's enjoy the sun.

He grabbed Nicole's hand and she was soon in her own little world. I came out only after taking a long look at the door. I sat in the chair with my knees up to my chest until Jacob came over.

Jacob: Hey..

He said as he sat down beside me.

Autumn: Hey..

Jacob: You okay?

I sat up and looked over at Diggy and Nicole. They were so cute together. Splashing each other and laughing.. Why can't I have that?

Autumn: I'm fine.

Jacob: Autumn.. Now you know you can't lie to me. What's wrong?

His phone began to ring and he looked at the caller ID.

Autumn: Nothing..

Jacob: You sure?

Autumn: Yeah..

I said before he answered the call.

Jacob: Wassup man? Yeah, she's right here.. I'll tell her, but you might wanna text her too.. Cool. Peace.

He hung up and looked at me.

Jacob: That was Trevor. He wanted to know if you could swing by his place right quick or if you guys could meet up somewhere.

Autumn: Why wouldn't he just call me hisself?

He shrugged and got up.

Jacob: I don't know, but you might wanna text him.

He left to put his feet back in the pool and I checked my phone.

Autumn: The hell? Why won't it-? Ohh wait.. Dammit..

I forgot to charge my phone last night. I got up and grabbed my stuff, then went inside to change clothes. When I was back in my regular clothes, I said goodbye to everyone before leaving. I had to go home first to charge my phone and by the time it I was on 50%, I was ready to go. I opened the door and there stood Trevor.

Trevor: Hey..

Autumn: Hey..

I replied with a confused expression on my face as I closed the door behind me.

Autumn: What are you..?

Trevor: I came to see you.. I called and then I called Jacob. I figured your phone died since it went straight to voicemail.

Autumn: Yeah, um.. I actually went home to charge it and I was about to come see you so that we could talk.. Which reminds me.. What did you wanna talk about?

I said as I leaned up against my door. He smiled at my charismatic behavior but it quickly faded.

Trevor: Autumn.. A few days ago, I told you something that I felt that I never should have said, in hopes that you wouldn't hear it. Today, I ignorantly told you that I didn't feel as I said I did and you were upset for a good reason.

He sighed and looked down.

Trevor: Autumn. I've thought about this for a long time and I can honestly say that that was a lie too..

Autumn: What? Wait, Trevor. I'm confused. So what exactly are you telling me?

He took my hands into his and looked into my eyes.

Trevor: I'm saying that I know how I feel about you now and.. Although you may not want to hear this, I have to clear the air on this one..

He took a deep breath before opening his eyes.
