Uhh, Jack?
In an alternate universe where Jack and Anti are actually friends...
Wait, what? Jack and Anti are actually friends? No! That can't be! Anti is always trying to kill Jack, is he not?
Is what you're probably thinking right now. Actually, that's all for show. Jack knows that the community loves the blood thirsty psychotic demon version of Anti. The one that slits Jack's neck open for no reason whatsoever. The one that spooks us throughout the entire month of October then scares us all with a grand finale on the spooky night itself, still begging for more.
But that's not actually how he is. He's actually quite a nice demon, and Jack and him are friends.
Only thing is, Jack can really only communicate with him through mirrors. He can only talk to him through mirrors at least, and that would look very suspicious and weird if anyone caught him.
Which is exactly what happened one tragic day.
"Okay, Mark will be over in 10 minutes." Jack said to himself as he quickly checked his phone. Mark was visiting him for a week since they hadn't seen each other for 6 months, when the last Pax East was. Jack was starting to feel a bit lonely so he decided to have a little chat with Anti before Mark came.
Bad mistake.
"Anti?" Jack said into the tall, shiny mirror across the room. A figure that looked exactly like Jack appeared almost instantly. "Hey Jack buddy! How's it going?" Anti asked with a smile, twirling his knife in his fingers. Jack walked over so that he was closer to the mirror and stood leaning to the side. "Eh, alright. I mean I think I need you soon, it's almost October and the community is going batshit crazy, already making theories about you." Jack laughed. "If only I had a body of my own and I didn't have to use yours every time we wanna do something fun for your channel." Anti sighed. "You will one day. I'll make sure of it."
This conversation went on for far longer than Jack intended it to be. So much so that he had completely forgotten that Mark was coming over. If that wasn't bad enough, he had told him to just come on in without knocking.
"HEY JACK!! YOUR FAVOURITE BEST FRIEND IS H- uhhh, Jack?" Mark suddenly stopped yelling as he noticed Jack talking to a mirror, which was now Jack startled and looking terrified at Mark. "O-oh. H-hey Mark!" Jack smiled nervously. Mark tilted his head in utter confusion and slowly took steps closer, his lips slightly parted.
"What.. the hell.. are you doing?" He asked, very slowly, leaving second gaps between words. "I.. Um.." Anti was gone so he couldn't prove anything. To Mark he was just talking to himself in the mirror.
Once Mark was close enough to Jack, he grabbed his arm and squeezed it. "Are you okay? What was that?"
Jack looked away. "I can'y say. You'll run away screaming."
Mark cupped Jack's face in one of his hands and forced his head to look at him. "Tell me. Now. I think I deserve to know the truth. WHAT are you hiding from me?!"
Jack started to tear up. If he told him, he would be scared of him and would want to stay as far away from him as possible. If he didn't tell him, he wouldn't want to be friends with him anymore because he is lying and refuses to tell Mark the truth.
It's a lose-lose situation for Jack.
Jack looked down and sighed. "You.. You wouldn't want to know.." Jack muttered, with almost no voice left.
Mark shook his head. "I don't get why you can't tell me Jack. Am I not TRUSTWORTHY to you?!" Mark started to raise his voice which scared Jack and made him go wide eyed.
Jack sighed harshly and took a step back, releasing himself from Mark's grasp. "I TALK TO ANTI THROUGH A MIRROR OKAY?! ANTI IS REAL AND I TALK TO HIM BECAUSE I'M LONELY."
Mark stared at him in disbelief for a few seconds. "U-uhm, I- I'm gonna go." Mark stuttered before he ran out the door, scared for his life.
This could've all been prevented if Jack had just told Mark to knock.
Hey I just wanted to thank @Multifandom_taco for this idea.
