Jack is sitting on his wrecker's bull-bar. He's got his arms crossed and is looking at his pickup. He's been at NORTHSTAR for three years. He's wanting to transfer to the Tennessee division near Gatlinburg. He doesn't want to tell his family. But he wants the beautiful scenery and dangerous curves. He's lived in Arkansas for 21 years and is tired of the flat ground. Jacks boss walks up to him.

" Hey, Jack? Can we talk?"

Jack looks away from his truck. "Yes boss ?"

Jack's boss hands him a transfer paper crying.

"Marry? Why are you crying ?"

"Because your my best driver. No one else can tow trucks like you....Northstar might go out of business!!!!!!!!"

"Where am I bein' transfered to?"

"Tennessee Department of Transportation wants you to run the Great Smokey Mountains Interstate system near Gatlinburg, Severville and Pigeon Forge. They've seen your work."
Jack looks at the old Five star General. "Will the General come with me?"

" Yes. It's your truck. You leave tonight. We've bought you a cabin away from the city' it's the least we could do."

Jack goes about his day. When he gets home he starts packing his thing to move to Tennessee. He is loading the trailer when his friend Rudy comes pulling up into the driveway. He walks over to Jack's truck. They talk for a few minutes while they load up they trailer. Jack starts moving to Tennessee. After he moves to his new home he goes to TDOT Heavy Towing Department.

"Hello, Sir. How may I help you?"

"Hello. I'm Jack King. TDOT....."

"The Jack King from ARDOT?!?!?"

Jack looks down. "Yes,Ma'am."

"Hi,Jack! I'm Julian!"

"Hi, Julian. TDOT said they want me on the Gatlinburg area?"

"Yes,Jack. Did you bring your tow truck?"
"NorthStar is bringing it. They said it should be here on the third. "

"Is that black pickup yours?"

"Yes. I rebuilt in from a head on crash."
"What do you say i show you around the shop. We're not busy"

"Sure. I can remember the shop and yard lay out."

Julian smiles as she looks at Jack. She thinks to herself " He's a cute guy."

Julian shows Jack everything the more Jack talks Julian's crush on him gets bigger. After Jack leaves She daydreams about him. Jack goes home and goes to bed. The next morning Jack goes to Walmart to buy food for his house. He drops off the food at his house then he goes around town to look around. He meets new friends. He gets a phone call.
"Jack? Where are you?"

"Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I moved. I'm tired of being your rebound Rose. I'm leavin' you and your games. I'm starting a life with peace and quiet."

"I can't believe you just left your family and friends."

" I got transfered to TDOT if you must know. Northstar got a new driver."

"Whatever, Jack." Rose hangs up.

Jack goes to the DMV to switch his plates and driver's license to Tennessee. After that he goes to TDOT garage to see if his wrecker has came in yet. He gets there and they are getting the Five-Star General ready for duty. The wrecker has been repainted with the TDOT theme. New lights and tires have been put on. And the Five-Star has also been re-numbered from HR 143 to HR 45. Jack smiles.
"I can't beileve that my life is finally on track. I never thought I would get this far." He thinks to his self. He drives home and plays a song on his gutiar. After that he's making his dinner when his phone rings.

"Hello?"

" Hello? Is this Jack King?"
"Yes. Who is this?"
"It's Julian. From the shop!"
Jack wonders how she got his number.

"Oh. Hi, Julian. What's up?"
"Not much. I was wondering if you would like to grab a bite to eat?"
"No thanks. I've already cooked my dinner. Maybe some other time."
Julian gets sad. "Oh, Ok. I'll talk to you later then." She hangs up.

Later after Jack eats his dinner. His phone rings again. This time it's his best friend Jesse.

"Jack! What are you up to?"

"I'm just doing my dishes. Why, whats up?"
"The owner of the state fair wants you to sing tomorrow!"
"Jesse, why don't you sing?"
"Because everyone wants "Chevy" !!!"
Jack shakes his head.. "I don't know, Jesse."
"They want your songs.. Maybe some covers..."
"Ok. What time?"
"8:00 P.M."
Jack hangs up after he says bye. Jack sings on his spare time. People want him to persue music. But Jack loves towing. so he stays where he feels right. Jack goes to sleep. The next day Jesse is at Jack's door at 6:00 a.m. . Jack gets up and opens the door and sees Jesse.
"What time is it?"
"It's 6 A.M. Come on! Go get cleaned up and meet me by your truck."
Jack goes cleans up and meets Jesse by his truck.

"Why did you wake me up?!" Jack crosses his arms

"Because there's new part at the part store!"

Jack looks at Jesse with a annoyed look on his face.

"You woke me up..........FOR A FUCKING PART!!!!!!"

Jesse looks at Jack. "I'm sorry. It's a new bull bar."

"For what year truck?"

"90-2000 Chevy trucks."

Jack and Jesse go to the part store and they already have one set aside for Jack.

The parts guy looks at Jack. "Hi, Jack! We have that new bumper for you."
Jack looks. "I haven't bought a bumper yet."

"You didn't but a pretty girl said that she wanted to welcome you so she bought it."

Jack wonders who it is.

"Ok, Rick. Load it in my truck"
Rick goes and loads the bumper.
Jesse looks at Jack.

"Hey, Chevy?"
"What Jesse?"
"Don't you think Julian is acting kinda odd around you?"
"What do you mean? I don't know her that well."
"You went to the shop"
"I'VE ONLY BEEN HERE A DAY BRO!"

Jack heads to to the shop. His boss and him talk and his boss lets him install the bumper at shop. Jack's tools will be delivered the next week.
He installs the bumper and it looks good on his midnight black truck.
Jack gets his first call. And goes to the call in the General. The call is for a Union Pacific Serivce truck that has be hit by a West bound manifest train. When Jack gets there he sees the after math of the wreck. The trucks engine is 50 FT away from the trucks body. Jack goes to talk the police officer on sence.

"Hello, Officer I'm with TDOT. You called my crew out?"
" Yes. The truck is a Union Pacific Service truck. It was hit by a West bound CSX manifest train. The locomotive driver has already called CSX and Union Pacific to let them know."
"what's the train number ?"
"CSX 2145 IS the lead locomotive"
Jack and his crew get the wreck cleaned up and head back to yard.
When Jack get there his truck has a note on it.
