Jack's POV

Harry finally figured out the first task and decided to use his broom. So Hermione and I helped him master the summoning charm. He also told Cedric about the dragons. As the other two champions already knew about them. It's the day of the task and Hermione went to wish Harry luck. I would of gone also, but I was kidnapped by the Weasley twins. Who were takes bets on the task.

"Why am I helping you?" I ask them.

"Because someone has to take over when we finish school next year" George states.

"You expected me to pull pranks during my NEWT year?" I ask them.

"We are" they say and I shake my head with a chuckle. Just then I spot Hermione leaving the champion tent. Looking flustered.

"Ok, I'm done and going to hang out with Hermione" I tell them. They nod and left them. "You ok Hermione?" I ask her concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine" she assures me. "Skeeter took a photo of me giving Harry a hug good luck" she states.

"No doubt, she'll write lies about it" I grumble.

"Most likely, but we can't worry about that now. Lets focus on Harry" she tells me. I nod my head in agreement. We grab seats in the front row as Ludo stands to address the crowd.

"Welcome everyone to the first task of the Tri-wizard Tournament" he says loudly. "Now, I'm sure many of you have been wondering what the first task is. Well your wait is over" he tells us. "The champions must face a mother dragon. Each will have their own. But their mission will be the same. To retrieve a golden egg from the mother dragon guarding her eggs" he states holding up a golden egg.

"Points are awarded from each judge our of ten. Points will be taken off if there is any damage to the real eggs" he states. "Now presenting the Swedish Short-snout vs Cedric Diggory" he announces. The dragon enters the arena and goes over to her eggs.

Soon Cedric appears and takes cover before she spots him. But she raises her head sniffing the air. She growls looking around. Cedric transfigures a rock into a large dog. That distracts the mother dragon. Long enough for him to get the golden egg. Though he did get burned as he ran away. He went to the medical tent to be treated by Madame Pomfrey after receiving his score.

Next up with Fleur against the Welsh Greed. She used her veela powers to put the dragon to sleep. Which worked a charm. She managed to retrieve the egg without having to use her wand. But when the dragon snored, it shot a stream of fire. Setting her skirt on fire. Which she put out with her wand. She got her score and went to get her burnt leg tended too.

Viktor appeared next to face the Chinese Fire-ball. He uses the conjunctivitis curse on the dragon's eyes. Blinding it. However, because the dragon could not see, she crushed some of her eggs that she was protecting, which lost him points. Even though he successfully retrieved his egg and his headmaster gave him ten points anyway.

Harry was last facing the Hungarian Horn-tail. The worst dragon out of the four. I go for my wand and Hermione stops me. "You can't interfere, remember" she reminds me. "Trust in Harry" she tells me. I sigh in defeat and nod my head as Harry dodges behind a rock. To avoid a stream of fire from the angry mother dragon. "Your wand Harry, your wand!" Hermione shouts.

"Remember what we taught you! Concentrate!" I shout as he draws his wand.

"Accio Fire-bolt!" he yells summoning his broom. It appears and he mounts it. Taking to the sky. The dragon follows him with her head. But not moving from her eggs. Which are protected by her front powerful talons. Harry does a series of dives and pulling up. Luring her away from the eggs when she fails to get him with her fire.

Harry then dove and retrieved the egg. As he flew away. He was clipped in the arm by the dragon's spiked tail. He landed by the medical tent as the dragon was taken away. I run him with Hermione and Ron. I hug him tightly.

"You did it Harry, I knew you could" I tell him smiling.

"Ow" he says.

"Opps, sorry" I say pulling away from him. "You should get that arm looked at. I'll take your fire-bolt back to your dorm room" I tell him.

"Thanks Jack" he says handing it to me. I left him with Ron and Hermione. I head back to the castle and I am soon joined by Fred.

"Stalking me Weasley?" I ask smirking.

"In your dreams Jackie" he tells me. "I'm only going to organize food for tonights party in our common room" he states. "You taking Harry's broom back?" he asks.

"Yep, can you see if the house elves can make brownies?" I ask him.

"Sure" he says with a smile. We reach the entrance hall. "See you at the party" he tells me.

"Of course, see you later Fred" I tell him. Before leaving heading for the common room. I put Harry's broom on his bed. Before deciding to do homework before the party.
