Ch. 11: The New Boss
Jack honestly never thought he would wake up, but he did somehow. When he did, he was back at the medical clinic, and all of his friends were there too. When his eyes opened, he turned and saw Signe sitting next to his bed. She smiled at seeing he was awake and alright. "Hey" she whispered as she stood up.
"Hey" Jack whispered back before glancing around and realizing he was still alive. "Did we win?"
"Yea, we did it, Anti's gone" she smiled. "Glad to see ur still around"
"I wasn't sure if I would be" Jack admitted as he sleepily sat up.
"Aren't you brave and bold" he half laughed, but was mostly relieved that he actually made it. "But that was still pretty scary" she noted.
"Yea it was, but it's all over now" he stated with a smile, as if now realizing that himself. Antisepticeye, the demon that had haunted Jack for so many years and caused him so much pain, was now gone. Jack had defeated him, and he could finally move on.
He got up from his bed and brought the Danish girl in for a hug. She squeezed back even tighter, almost believing he would've died last night, and he nearly did. But he was alive, and they all won. Their attention was caught by the others standing up.
"Hey" Robin said as he bro-shaked hands with Jack. "Welcome back boss"
"Thanx" Jack laughed. "Billy" he said once he noticed his new allie, and gave him a bro-shake as well. "Thanx for everything last night"
"Thanx for keeping your promise" he smiled back.
"Felix!" Jack happily cheered. "Ur still here" he pointed out, thinking he would've left right after the fight.
"Yea, I just wanted to make sure you'd be ok" he smiled.
"But you do need to go, don't you?" Jack asked.
"It's like I told you, I've got my own demons to face" he reminded.
"Well hey, if you ever need back-up, you know who to call" he stated as he held up his fist.
"Hell yea" Felix nodded as he bumped fist with Jack.
"Thanx for everything"
"You too"

The following month was mighty busy for our heroes. The people of the city were ecstatic to see the web slinging septiceye getting back to his normal routine, saving the day. As for miss Panabaker-and no they didn't forget, with the recent events that occured, as well as Jack's testimony, they were able to set, not only, her free, but many others that fell victim to Antiseptic and his antics. They were just now leaving the courthouse after being thanked multiple times by miss Panabaker and some other survivors. "Well, I guess we did our good deed for the day" Robin stated as they reached the bottom of the stairs.
"Oh I still have quite a few more to take care of later on" Jack noted. "Not to mention I gotta start showing this guy the ropes of super-heroism" he gestured to Billy.
"Well, good luck to both on that" he laughed and joined him.
"Oh, and I've been meaning to ask" Billy chimed in. "All those.....robberies and shit I used to pull-"
"Water under the bridge" Robin quickly assured. "You've got clean records, a fresh new start, whole nine yards" he stated with a smile, Billy sighing relieve.
"Thankyou"
"Don't thank him, you've earned it" Jack noted like a proud older brother.
"Hey Rob!" they heard the sound of a young girl call.
"Hey kid, what're you doing here?" Robin asked as he turned to the little lady who walked up to him.
"I was on my way home and saw you here" she briefed as she leaned in for a hug. She was about late teens to early twenties, tiny, short brown hair, wearing a bright cute dress, had a sweet little british accent, and Billy wasn't taking his eyes off her.
"Um, this is my best friend Jack and our friend Billy" he introduced and she shook hands with them. "And gentlemen, this is my niece, Fran Bow" he continued.
"I've heard a lot about you" she said when she shook hands with Jack.
"Likewise" he nodded.
"I don't believe Robin's told me about you before?" she said when she turned to shake hands with Billy.
Billy opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. "Um, he's actually an old friend of mine" Jack cut in for him. "We just recently ran into each other"
"Oh, well it's nice to meet you" she smiled.
"Yyyea, it's... nice to meet you too" he nodded with a nervous look.
"Well, I need to go, but why don't you being your friends over tonight?" she kindly offered.
"I'll see if we can work something out" he smiled.
"Great, I hope to see you" she smiled. "It was nice meeting you both" she said as she began walking away.
"U too" Jack and Billy simultaneously said, and Jack kept watching Billy as he kept watching her.
"You should ask her out" he noted. Billy, and Robin, turned to Jack with wide eyed expressions. "I don't need Sam to see that, you should ask her out" he laughed.
"Uh, no!" Robin replied.
"Yes" Jack laughed again.
"Hey fellas!" they heard Signe call as she stepped out of the car and walked towards the trio.
"I'll catch up with you two later" Jack noted before walking towards Signe. But as he walked, he was sure he heard Robin say, "Don't even think about it" to Billy.
"Hey, how'd it go?" she asked.
"What do you think?" he smiled.
"That's what I like to hear" she patted him on the shoulder.
"So, what do we do now?" Jack asked as they began walking to her car.
"Well, do you remember something I said, about what a Wiishu can do?" she asked, and Jack thought for a minute. "How we could grant wishes for people who did good things?" she reminded and he nodded.
"Yes, and I'm amusing you would like to know what I want?" he asked back.
"Of course" she nodded.
"Well, I'm guessing no more crime would be too much to ask for?" Jack knowingly asked.
"That's....a little beyond my power" she laughed.
"Well in that case, what if I just wanted to be with you?" he asked. "Would that be beyond ur power?" he smoothly, but nervously, continued.
Signe looked as if she was about to faint. Her smile grew, her cheekes redend, and her heart kicked up from the question he just asked. "Not at all" she replied, before leaning in for a kiss, which Jack eagerly accepted.
The kiss lasted for a solid minute, before the two broke apart. They traded these sweet, loving smiles before they adjoined hands and continued walking to the car. "So what do you think our superhero team name could be?" he asked.
"The crackerjacks?" she suggested with a proud, mischievous look. Jack just gave off a half amused, half irritated look and Signe just laughed.

It was later in the afternoon, the sun had just set and Jack was now crouched on the edge of a skyscraper, watching over the city streets. Then suddenly, he heard a whoosh over his head, and smiled as he already knew what, or who, this was.
"Never thought I'd see you out here so soon" Jack stated as he faced up to see his good friend and fellow superhero, Markiplier.
"Well, I was planning on coming this way when I heard about the strange things that were happening" he stated. "But then I heard that Jacksepticeye had already saved the day" he smiled from amusement.
"Well I do tend to work pretty fast" he smiled, and he and Mark started giggling. The caped crusader hovered down by Jack before giving him a hug.
"It's good to see you again Jack" Mark stated happily.
"Right back at ya" he responded before they separated.
"So you finally got him, huh?" Mark asked with a playful jab to his arm.
"Yea, it wasn't easy though, I'll tell ya that much" he scoffed.
"Well, I knew you had in you, and I'm so proud of you" he wholeheartedly mentioned. "For everything you've done, who you've become, you should just be proud of yourself"
"Thanx Mark" Jack replied, feeling very flattered from his kind words. "What about you? Any luck with finding that....Darkiplier guy?"
"Not yet, sadly" he sighed. "But, I think he might be planning something soon" he noted. "Whatever it is, and whenever it happens, I may need ur help" he duely informed.
"When that does happen, I'll be there" Jack promised, holding up his fist for Mark to bumb, which he gladly did. "What about everyone else? How are they doing?"
"Amy and Kathryn are good, we've been working and doing a lot, for both the company and protecting the city" he answered with a smile. "Tyler and Ethan have actually been doing a lot better then you would expect, and they've done a pretty bang up job at being city protectors themselves" he laughed from amusement. "Also, Bob has been working on something big for the past while. And as for Wade, I don't actually know what's going on with him" he admitted, and Jack gave him a questioning look. "Not long after you left, he said he had to go somewhere or do something, but he's been gone for about a year now"
"And nobody's heard from him?" Jack asked.
"No, but he promised he would be back" Mark assured. "I just hope it's sooner rather then later"
"Same here" Jack nodded. "But something tells me that when the time comes, we'll all be right there with you, ready to fight"
"And I couldn't ask for better people to stand with me" Mark said before giving Jack a bro-hug. Then, their attention was caught by the sounds of police sirens from the streets. "I guess that's ur que" Mark noted. "Stay strong and stay safe" he said as he leaned in for another hug.
"You too man, thanx for stopping by" Jack replied as he accepted the hug. "I'll see you soon" he added once they pulled apart, and Mark started hovering again.
"Count on it" he nodded before flying away, leaving Jack smiling, and to follow the sirens. He freefell from the building before catching himself with a web, and swinging right above the cop cars. Until the day arrived when he would see Mark and his buddies again, he had a job to do, this job, and it was time to go to work.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Central Asia, it was late afternoon and Wade Barnes, the very man Jack and Mark were just discussing, was now leaving a big old temple, wearing odd clothes with some type of staff strapped to his back. Once he was out the door, he turned back to the old man who had escorted him out.
"Thankyou Grandmaster, for everything you've done" he bowed as he cupped his fist with the other hand and brought them in front of him.
"Of course" he nodded. "Just remember..... Lord Minion, as long as you fight with your heart, and are willing to do what is right, no matter how hard it is, there is nothing....you cannot accomplish" the wise old hermit reminded encouragingly. "There will be many people in need of a man like you, and I know you will be able to help them, I know you can make a difference" he continued to encourage, receiving a smile filled with gratitude from Wade.
"And I will, I won't let you down" he said promisingly.
"I know you won't" he smiled before taking Wade's hand "Good luck to you young man" he shook his hand.
"Good luck to you too, and thanx again" wade smiled as he shook back, and then the Grandmaster stepped back inside before shutting the door. Wade then turned back in the opposite direction and began walking, adjusting the staff strapped to his back and keeping it on and secured.
"Now it begins"
Pewdiepie and Lordminion777 will return.
