School Shopping
July 8th, 1967
Imagine : Jackie and Her husband goes school shopping.
As Jackie and President Kennedy walked out of the store, carrying bags filled with school supplies, they couldn't help but exchange a bewildered glance. The total bill had caught them by surprise - $2000 for three kids' school shopping!
"No more kids," Jackie mumbled under her breath, causing President Kennedy to chuckle.
"Don't worry, my love," he replied, offering her a reassuring smile. "We can handle this. After all, we've got three bright and beautiful children who deserve the best."
With renewed determination, they made their way back home. As they unloaded the bags onto the kitchen table, Caroline, John, and Patrick tiptoed into the room, their curious eyes scanning the assortment of supplies.
"Surprise, my darlings!" Jackie exclaimed, her voice laced with excitement. "We've got everything you need for the upcoming school year!"
The children's faces lit up with joy as they eagerly inspected their new treasures. From notebooks and pens to backpacks and lunchboxes, the Kennedys had spared no expense in ensuring their children were well-equipped for a successful academic journey.
As Caroline selected a shiny red backpack, she turned to her parents and asked, "How did you manage to get all this, Mom?"
Jackie glanced at President Kennedy, sharing a knowing smile, before responding, "Your father has a magic wallet, my dear. It never runs out of money!"
Giggles filled the room as Patrick playfully poked his father's side, trying to find the secret pocket where the magic money was hidden. "Dad, can I borrow that wallet someday?" he asked, his eyes sparkling mischievously.
President Kennedy feigned a secretive expression, leaning in closer. "Only if you promise to use it for good, my boy," he whispered, winking at Patrick.
The room erupted in laughter, filling the house with warmth and love. In that moment, it didn't matter how much the school shopping had cost. The Kennedys were grateful for the opportunity to provide for their children, to see them grow and learn, and to create cherished memories together.
And so, as the summer days faded away and the new school year began, the Kennedys embarked on another exciting chapter of their lives. With smiles on their faces and a sense of adventure in their hearts, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them as a united family, filled with love, laughter, and the magic of President Kennedy's wallet.
