♡Surprise!
In honor of Farwa's AKA kya-bolun-ab 's birthday, I decided to write something special for her.
Farah, my Farwa, my Ferarro, this one is for you. ♡

"YOU do realize what we are doing, right?"
A waft of chilly February wind swept through the street. The lustrous dots of light enriched the velvety black night sky like snow flakes and the resplendent silver orb shone in all its glory.
On this beautiful night stood a female duo on the residential street, in front of a double story house―their hands occupying paper bags, their dark gaze fixed on the familiar abode ahead.
Saliha rolled her ebony irises at her friend―whose anxiousness was pretty much visible on her face even in the faint light coming from the street lamp.
"Yup, we're about to give our BFF the best surprise of her life," Saliha grinned like a Cheshire cat.
Aleena quirked a brow at the black-haired girl who had a knack for coming up with reckless ideas, "shock. You mean, the best shock of her life."
Saliha shook her head. "Uffho, Aleena. Don't be a chicken. We're just surprising Farwa on her birthday in a very cute way, that's all."
"Yeah, sneaking into her house at midnight and then climbing up her balcony to make it to her room to wish her is very cute, indeed." Aleena ranted, attempting to fold her arms across her chest but couldn't because of the bags.
"It's cute," mischief gleamed in Saliha's ebony eyes as she leaned closer. "And thrilling!"
Aleena's lips curled into a sneer, "why can't we use the door and go inside like normal people?"
"Where is the thrill in that?" Her friend smiled roguishly. "I mean, just imagine the look of surprise on her face when we crash land on her balcony!"
"Crash climb, Romeo." Aleena raised her finger and corrected.
"Yeah whatever. Now, are you convinced ya may aur boloon?"
Aleena's inky eyes touched the dark sky and landed back on Saliha, "bas kar dialogue maarna. I just hope we don't get caught."
Saliha clutched the paper bag she was holding and moved closer. "So what if we do, it's Farwa's house―not Faris's."
Aleena suppressed a blooming smile forming on her lips at the mention of the man who had her heart in his possession.
"I wouldn't do this for Faris," Aleena hissed. "But, anything for my Farwa," she added with a wink earning a thumbs up from her friend.
"Ye hui na baat! Now let's go, my soldier."
"Uh, don't tell that to Faris by the way." Aleena trailed behind Saliha who had started creeping to the backyard.
"Wo ham baad main decide krengay."
"Kamini!" Aleena lightly smacked her back that made Saliha chuckle. The duo stopped ahead of the boundary wall, ready to break into the birthday girl's house.
Saliha―with gift bags dangling on both her arms―dragged a piece of small rock from the side and placing her feet on it she lifted up herself. Gathering all her strength, she pushed her body and jumped right into the house while Aleena watched with her mouth agape.
"Okay, Aleena, now you do the same," she heard her muffled voice from the other side.
There was no way she could do the same―the only thing she was good at lifting was herself from the bed.
Muttering some curse words under her breath, she raised her arms and putting her feet on the rigid surface of the rock, she hurled herself up―spotting her friend who was waiting for her.
"Hurry up, give me your hand." Saliha stood on her toes and extended her arm.
With so much struggle, Aleena held out her hand that was holding the bag of cake but instead of taking her hand like Shahrukh Khan did in DDLJ, Saliha quickly seized the bag and let out a relieved smile.
"What the heck, help me out!" Aleena cried―her form glued to the wall like a lizard with her one arm and leg dangling on the other side.
Saliha shook her head but thankfully complied, grasping her hand tightly and pulling the brunette girl.
Aleena landed on the ground with a thud, clutching her back like an old hag. "Oh my god, Saliha I think I broke my rib," she wailed, exaggerating the slight ache shooting through her ribs.
At that, Saliha graced her with a slap on the back, straightening Aleena's spine. "See, it's all fine, now get moving! It's almost 12."
Aleena shot daggers at her but gestured her to carry out the mission nonetheless. They both sauntered across the backyard and stopped underneath the balcony of Farwa's room.
"Oh shit, Aleena. Look at that!" Saliha exclaimed, pointing at her right―making the brunette's head snap in the direction. Her eyes landed on a wooden ladder lent against the wall, leading way to their targeted spot.
"It must be our lucky night, now we can easily go up there," beamed Saliha.
"Yea―wait! What if it wasn't there? What would we have done then?" Aleena asked in horror.
Saliha opened her mouth to respond but was stopped by Aleena's raised palm. "No, don't answer! I don't wanna imagine that."
Biting the insides of her cheek, Saliha suppressed the urge to burst into laughter at her friend's antics. She put her foot on the rung and proceeded to swim up the ladder with Aleena shadowing behind.
The intruders slithered over the railing and landed on the balcony with triumphant smiles. They turned around―ready to barge in Farwa's room but gasped in unison when they came across the very person they were supposed to stun standing there―welcoming them with crossed arms and a narrowed eyes.
"What the hell do you guys think you're doing?" Farwa grilled, hoisting a brow.
Aleena didn't miss a second in pointing her finger at Saliha. "It was her idea!"
Saliha jutted her chin out haughtily, "ofcourse it was my idea! Aleena could never come up with something adventurous even if she tried."
Farwa's copper green irises trailed Aleena's cutting glare directed to her other best friend before she cleared her throat, gaining back their attention. "Whosever idea was it, you both are standing here right now!"
"Yeah, leken tum yahan Juliet ki tarha khari kya kar rahi ho?" Aleena barked, frustrated that their little plan had failed.
Farwa's eyes rolled skyward and she scoffed, "because you both have been scurrying like rats while climbing up."
Before the duo could retort, Farwa sent an icy glare their way, "you both think this is funny?" Her tone laced with an acid edge.
The girls clamped their mouths shut and looked at eachother, swallowing nervously.
Now they had done it. Pissed Farwa off on her birthday.
Farwa's hand balled into fist as she watched her friends turning pale at her feigned anger. She tried to suppress the laughter bubbling in her throat so she could enjoy the scene more but eventually gave in and burst into a hearty laugh.
Aleena's jaw touched the balcony's floor while Saliha's hand flew to forehead, realising the act.
"OMG, dara hee diya yaar!" Saliha exclaimed.
Aleena's eyes widened for a moment, realising something, and she sauntered towards Farwa, wrapping her arm around her shoulders. "Okay okay okay, shush!" She stretched up her arm―her eyes glued to the ticking second hand on her wrist watch.
Saliha also joined them, snaking her arm across Farwa's back.
The moment it struck twelve, the girls merrily squealed, squeezing Farwa tightly.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY FARWA!!!!"
Happiness shimmered in Farwa's beautiful hazel eyes, her lips curled into a lovely smile, full of sheer, pure joy. Cocooned in the loving embrace of her bestfriends, she giggled merrily, thankful to have these two idiots in her life.
"Tum jeeyo hazaron saal," Aleena sang.
"Hai meri yeh arzoo," joined Saliha.
The trio went inside the room where Saliha and Aleena emptied the bags, placing a scrumtious Ferraro Rochers cake on the table.
Light of candles reflected off Farwa's beautiful face with an effervescent glow as she glided the knife and cut the cake of her *sssh, ladies don't tell their age* birthday.
Farwa trimmed a piece of cake and lifted her hand, making Aleena and Saliha open their mouths but instead of feeding her friends, she gulped down the cake with a satisfied smirk.
"What?" She looked at her friends who were gawking at her. "Sweets before sisters, ya know!"
Farwa winked.
Saliha shook her head.
Aleena rolled her eyes.
"Okay okay, Farwa! I need your attention now." Aleena got up from the couch and stood right in front of Farwa.
Farwa's mouth formed an O, "you have my undivided attention."
Aleena cleared her throat with a waggish glint in her eyes. She curled her fingers and joined them into a heart shape. "Nega neomu joh-a ottoke ottoke."
The room resounded with Farwa's cackling laugh while Aleena cupped her cheeks and batted her eyelashes. "Nega neomu yeppeo ottoke otokke?"
"Narang buso bollae eotteohke saengakhae?" Aleena sang, pouting like a newborn making Farwa almost fall off the couch.
"Janmal malgo buso, joh-dago joh-dago." Farwa squealed, getting up from the couch and squeezed her into a bear hug―their hearty laughter still ringing in the air.
"Aaaaw, sarangheyo Leenu," Farwa cooed.
Aleena beamed and leaned in to whisper something in her ear before they pulled back.
The sound of slow claps dispelled the moment, making both girls turned to Saliha sitting there with a poker face. "Wow, whatever that was, I'll just pretend I didn't see it."
Farwa and Aleena looked at each other and cracked up laughing again.
"Anyways, the night is young and―" Saliha couldn't finish her sentence because the door of Farwa's room flew open and her father and mother entered the room.
"Happy birth―wait, when did you two get here?" Farwa's father questioned with a dumbfounded expression.
The intruders gulped and the birthday girl puffed her cheeks, smothering a laugh.
Looks like they had some explaining to do.
