Lizzie's POV
We arrived at game fest. I was walking around when I crashed into someone. "Sorry." I said. "It's cool." He said. We stared at each other. Finally,  he spoke up. "Oh. My name's Joel." He said. "I'm Lizzie." I said. We both walked around. My phone buzzed. Gabe was texting me. I shut my phone off.
Skip the thing
When we got home, I got another text.
J= Joel
L= Lizzie
J: hey lizzie. I had fun :)
L: thnx. Me 2
J: wanna hang out w/ me?
L: I have a boyfriend
J: hey. I said hang out not go out
L: well in that case. Sure
J: cool ;)
I put my phone down. I was finished with school for the day so I headed home.
Joel's POV
I was getting ready to hang out with Lizzie. I drove to a nearby coffee shop. Soon she arrived. We both sat down and were talking. Just then the door opened and someone walked in. It was Lizzie's boyfriend. "You cancel on me just to date someone else?" He asked. "We're just hanging out." Lizzie said. To my surprise, the guy pushed Lizzie out of her seat. I helped her up. Her boyfriend punched me in the face. "Joel and I are just friends. Also I'm breaking up with you!" Lizzie yelled. She helped me up. I could tell that she was mad. We both decided to call it a night and headed home.
