Ow.. What... Happened? Where am I? I looked around, there was only a black void. I got on my feet, and looked around... Something wasn't right.. What happened before..? I.. I can't remember.. What is this place? 

"Hello?" I called out, but it just echoed and echoed..... and echoed

This was worse than the anti-void... I should just try and find my way out of here... I am sure if I just keep walking I will come across something.. Just... Gotta continue.


Benefit's P.O.V.


I looked around, all I saw was smoke. Then... Layla.. Running into the fire.. Wait- this is my chance! I can save her! I chase after her and grab her arm. Only for my hand to get scorched by heat. She looked at me with pure rage. 

"You left my mother in there to die! She was the only thing I had left. You aren't a hero.. You weren't able to protect the village... I am such a dummy for believing in you... " She said.. Her words hering just as much as her touch. 

She then ran into the fire. I tried to chase after her but there were hands holding me back... the hands of the people I saved.. I kept reaching and trying to get closer to the fire.. I don't deserve to live... After the things I have done...

I kept pushing the hands off of me, and when I did I ran towards the fire, one of the hands grabbed my ankle and caused me to fall onto the ground. I didn't give up though.. I have been through enough loss. Just let me end it.. It is the only way... I reached out to the fire once again.. I almost touched it, as a bright light shined into my sockets... It was almost too bright, the handle... wait..? Did I die?? Am I dead??? I am so confused... 

I can feel something.. Soft.. Wait.. was I not burning to death? I tried opening my eyes and woke up in what seemed like a bed. I sat up in it before giving a little stretch, not even realizing I was being watched. I noticed a figure sitting in a chair across from the small bed I was in. I turned my head to them and their eyelights turned to an orange exclamation point and a yellow crooked triangle. 

He was a skeleton.. Like me. He was wearing an ink stained scarf and had a brown colored outfit, in general, with a bit of white, and multicolored bottles on a stash. He also had an ink splot on his cheek. He urged closer to me, putting his hands on his knees and looked at me cautiously. 

"Hi?" I said, trying to make this less awkward. He stayed quiet as he just studied me. I was a little weirded out by this. "Um... are you going to-" I was interrupted by him. 

"Who are you? Where did you come from? Which creator made you? What is your height? What was the last song you listened to? What is your favorite color? What is your blood type? What are your intentions?" He seemed super curious.. I was well.. Overwhelmed by all his questions and got out of the bed. Still trying to process everything he said.. 

"Pardon?" I said, still trying to figure out my own things.. Wasn't I just in the fire?

"Oh, I am sorry. I just get so excited when I meet new AUs.. Wait- what AU are you from?" 

"AU?" 

"Alternate Universe, oh, sorry. My name is Ink! You look like a Sans.. what should I nickname you..."

"Sans? Sorry, could you please start from the beginning... uh.. Ink?" 

"Wait.. are you not a Sans? Um.. Okay.. What is your name?" This was a question I was asked before.. I thought between the two names I had.. I had rather liked my new name so I went with it. 

"Benefit... Can you tell me how I got here?" 

"Benefit... What a strange name.." He said, completely ignoring my question. 

"Ink is a strange name too you know.." I said, trying to get him back to the real world. 

"Oh, sorry, that was rude of me.. Maybe we should-" He was interrupted by a golden figure entering the room. 

"Ink, I think I got something about Bl-" He stopped midway in his sentence and looked at me, his facial expression seemed to change. 

"Did I interrupt something?" The golden figure said. 

"No, no. You are fine." Ink said. At this point I was just extremely confused. Where did all of these skeletons come from? 

"Who is he?" Asked the golden figure. 

"Oh, this is Benefit. I just found him passed out just outside the base." What? How would I have ended up there? I was so confused... 

"Um... Ink, who is this?" I said, trying to get more info. 

"This is Dream." Ink said as I looked over to Dream. He smiled a cautious smile and waved at me. I would've smiled back.. But I didn't feel like smiling. 

"Anyways, Dream, were you saying something on Blue?" Ink said, bringing his attention to Dream. 

"Oh! Yeah- I was looking through the emotion stream and felt a lot of pain in one certain AU. When I messaged Dust, he said that Nightmare and everyone else hasn't gone anywhere all day. So I found it kind of suspicious. Want to go check it out...?" Dream said, in a serious tone. 

"Sure, what about you Benefit, want to come with us?" 

I slowly nodded my head. Maybe I could get some answers on the way..

???'s P.O.V.


Bill and I checked to see if there were any survivors, but we didn't spot any, weirdly enough we didn't find that so-called "hero's" body.. Maybe he dusted... "We should be on our way," I said looking at Bill. "Of course! Luci isn't the patient type.." Bill said before snapping his fingers. When I blinked we were in a different place than the hill of the village. We were in a thin, dark hallway. There could be talking heard at the end of the hill. Me and Bill just started to walk away from the talking.. It probably was mimic demons anyways... As we approached the end of the hall, we came across a large door.
We just stood there for a second, before the doors opened and a little red demon got thrown out. "Wait- Please my lady, hear me out!" "Navejae, put him to death!" A large creature came out from behind the doors and picked up the small red demon, and took it down the hall. I was amazed, what was that creature? How sharp are their teeth? How many of those pesky skeletons could they kill?
My attention was brought back, when Bill bumped me, telling me to follow, he was smiling. We both seemed to enjoy the little show that just happened. As we walked in, the normal coble flooring became blood stained.

 Now this was my kind of room! I walked forward with Bill by my side. 

"My lady, I have brought the one you asked for." Bill said keeping eye contact with a dark figure, before bowing.

Asked for? What did he mean by that.. Where was I wanted? I banged my head. I couldn't let him out... Ignore his thoughts.. I know why I am here... Bill looked at me in suspicion, but turned back to the mysterious figure on the throne. 

"So, you are the one Ink was scared about... I don't see why though.. You just seem like an Outerswap Sans that was exposed to The Screams for too long.." 

"My lady, I promise you this is no mere Swap San... Just give him a test" Bill said smiling.

"Fine... Byx.. Go ahead and fight with the one who says he is worthy." 

A female wolf came up to me. They did not look friendly. I brought out the book to try and help me. 

"No, you may not use that..." Said the mysterious person, before I knew it, the book was gone. 

I guess I have to do this the hard way... Good thing Blue practiced a bit.. I got in a ready fighting stance and waited for this so-called Byx to attack. We stared at each other for a second before they finally attacked. I jumped to dodge and kicked them in the back. I landed safely on my feet but jumped up again. They tried to trip me, I guess my kick wasn't enough... It has been a while since I have been in a fight without weapons. I kept attacking her, and she kept attacking me. At this point no one was going to win, and we were just going to tire each other. That was going to be a while though... I wasn't tired, and neither was Byx it seemed.

"Enough." Said the mysterious figure, "He isn't ready... but.. He does have potential." 

"See, what did I tell ya? So who is gonna be the kid's trainer?" 

"I will be his trainer... You may leave now Bill" 

"Wait- You? Are you sure? I could train him if you want" 

"Yes, Bill, I am sure.. You may head back to your AU now..." She said, Bill seemed a bit hesitant.. I wondered why... "Now.. That he is gone, we should start!"

Benefit's P.O.V.

I followed Ink and Dream into the AU. I was trying to hold back some of my questions 'til we got here... But now it doesn't seem like talking anymore.... I looked around the AU I was now in. Ink and Dream were exploring around. I just looked shocked at the ashes of the town I was once in. 

"Um... Ink? Can we go? I don't feel like being here...." Ink looked up at me, he seemed a bit surprised that I wanted to go. 

"Is this your AU or something?" 

"Or something," I replied, rubbing the back of my skull. Before Ink could say something, Dream took a breath. Ink heard this and looked at Dream confused.

"Something terrible happened here... I don't know what.. I can just.. Feel something.. Does Nightmare feel this too?" "Ink, can we just go? I really don't want to be here anymore..." 

"Yeah.. Ink, let's get out of here... I don't think this had something to do with Blue... We should try and investigate this later though.. Especially if it has something to do with him," Dream said before pointing at me. 

"Or I could just tell you about myself... " I said, looking at him with a "really" look. 

"Yeah, I guess that works too.." (Well there goes more chances of making the story longer... "Isn't it better if it is shorter?" Well, Yeah I guess, but... "Just continue please.." Fine..) 

"Yeah.. Let's get going.. We can scout the area later.. Maybe come back later and try and figure out what happened." Dream and I agree in almost an instant. We should just get out of here...
Wait- The survivors! Where are they? 

"One second, I want to check something out.." I said, Dream seemed to be a little mad at me for wanting to stay longer, but he stayed patient. 

I looked around the hill we were on. I was trying to find the spot of cut grass, and when I did, I regretted it.. There they were, the survivors.. They all laid dead on the cut grass.

I looked at them in horror, who did this?! I ran back to Dream and Ink. I was not one to be a scaredy cat.. But this was different. These were the people I was sworn to protect... This was different. I think Dream sensed something, because he didn't even wait for Ink, he just grabbed me and teleported me back to where I woke up. 

"What did you do?" Dream demanded. I looked at him confused as he held me by my soot covered scarf. 

"Um.. What do you mean? I haven't done anything!" I said, trying to calm down the fierce golden, skele. ("Haha! Fierce.. Right.." What are you trying to say Jinx? "Oh nothing...") 

"You seemed to know something while we were in there.. Tell me everything you know..." I looked at him a bit surprised.. He didn't seem like this a second ago. Okay, Bene... remember your training... 

"Why would I tell you anything?" I said, hoping this Dream guy didn't have a weapon on him. 

"Well, first. You seemed to have some strong feelings toward that AU. Second, You just appeared out of nowhere, so we can't really trust you... And third, I just want to try and find my friend.... " 

I sighed... This Dream guy is either making me feel bad or something like that..... Or I don't know. I took one more thought about it before talking.

" I am Benefit. Soldier to the Luck Charm Amry, Apprentice of Tyche."

(Oh, no no no no no. Readers, our story doesn't end there. There is just a little more. "Readers? What do you mean?" Like you said before, there is always a spectator...)


???'s P.O.V.

I shook my head. It felt like I just woke up from the dead. Where was I. It was very dark and red...... What happened? I tried to remember what happened.....

Wait.. that is right.... Blue went insane.... Didn't he just try to attack me? Where is he...? I looked around, before I saw a black and yellow skeleton coming my way. I tried to get his attention, but I couldn't speak. He just looked at me before walking through me.... Wait..... WALKING THROUGHT ME?! I looked at myself, I was a bit transparent. "I was wondering when you would show up.." Said the black and yellow figure. I looked at him confused. "Oh, you must be so confused! You are a ghost... A deal I made, resurrected you." I just looked at him in shock, what did he mean resurrect.. Did I die to Blue...? I was so confused... I was already used to floating around, so that would have been another reason I didn't I was transparent... erm.. A ghost.. This was weird... "Oh, by the way. Only those who have the ability to see ghosts can see you.. There aren't a lot of them left, including myself.... And I recommend you go down the hall... A friend of yours is down there... they were the one who resurrected you." I didn't trust them, but it was really the only option I had.... I looked down in gloom before heading the direction he told me to head. This was going to be fun wasn't it.... I know Ink can see ghosts.. So let's just hope he was the one who brought me back or at least I see him soon.... I just casually floated down the hall, before coming across a giant door. I looked at it before just phasing through it.

Wait- was that?

O h n o . . . .

Not again.......

A/N: Hey-o everyone! Sorry, this took forever. I didn't have any inspiration.... I am glad it is out now, and I hope you enjoyed this Chapter. Jinxed will now be on another Hiatus. It probably won't continue for a bit, because I want to start Benefits story. Which if you are reading this and Golden Hopes is out, I recommend you read it for it will have lots of story plot in this story too. It will just be a fun short story. Then after Golden Hopes is done, you may continue onto Chapter 3. 

Also, I only have 2 questions for the QnA. I would love to answer more questions with my characters, so please. Ask away! Even if it is a simple question, go right ahead!
