Izuku knew he had been avoiding All Might. He knew that he had accidentally snuffed the poor man a couple times unintentionally. 

And he knew this because Uraraka once asked him if everything was okay. 

"Yeah, why?" He had immediately answered back snapping out of his mumbling to cautiously look at her. 

Suddenly the hallway felt too small and the walls were closing in and she was too close even though she was more than three feet away. 

He gulped, taking in her reaction with nervous eyes. 

"Well…" She began, pulling an arm behind her head to rub her neck. "You've been kinda out of it…like All Might just called for you and you didn't react at all--" She trailed off. 

All Might called out for him? Izuku blanked. 

And then suddenly his eyes were burning and his throat felt thick. 

He could hear the chattering of the cafeteria grow louder. 

Chatter splatter sticker flicker 

Izuku felt his eyes water as he gazed up at the bright lights of UA's halls. He analyzed them as the group walked together. 

The far left light at the end of the hallway was indeed flickering ever so slightly. 

Izuku let out a stained laugh, "Yeah, I guess I've been thinking…is all." He answered weakly. 

So unhero-like, one of the voices taunted. Ignoring your mentor. 

Such a naive little boy, snarled Five. Such an ignorant little boy. 

And for once, Izuku didn't have the heart to stick up for himself.
