The girl with the gun still has appointed him back for me even though I'm helping her friend waddle along while bad guys appear to be chasing us. But we are mostly hiding in back alleyways and it seems to be working for the most part but these guys just keep coming. None of them seem to have powers so that leads me to believe that my theory of being sent to another universe or parallel earth as sci-fi calls it isn't so crazy after all

I noticed that the girl with the red hair is still bleeding out, I put it down for a second: we can't keep running like this she needs a doctor

The woman with the gun pointed into my back: you continue moving, and pick her up we can't stop here

I turn around quickly and grab the gun out of her hands shocking her with the amount of speed I had: we can't keep moving she's bleeding out the quicker we move the quicker she loses blood who are you to anyway how do I know that you guys aren't in some kind of trouble

The woman got over her shock and finally introduced herself: i'm Caitlin I'm enforcer

I give her a puzzled expression: an enforcer... right and what exactly is that?

Caitlin gives me a look of confusion: do you know an enforcer we protect the law and save people how do you not know the name of The people that conduct the law here?

I shrugged at her and take another look at the pink haired women's warmed again trying to make sure the blood stops: I don't know probably because I'm not from here. Look I didn't mean to be here here's what happened one minute I'm hanging out with my friends we are training the next minute a giant blue portal opens up in the sky and start sucking everyone in as far as I know I'm the only one that got teleported here

Caitlin doesn't seem to be by but I don't really care I'm more concerned about The bleeding woman in front of me. I don't know if she's lucky or not because the blade didn't go all the way through, like I said I'm not exactly trained with this kind of won't I know how to do bumps and bruises and a few broken bones but a scab and this deep is completely out of my expertise

She also appears to be hallucinating because she keeps saying this name over and over again "powder" maybe she's on some kind of medicine or something, I Caitlin is still looking at me suspiciously she wants me to give her gun back but I'm refusing. I don't want her to get trigger-happy with it

Caitlin demanded: give me back my weapon or so help me I will arrest you!

I turn around and cover her mouth, is she really that stupid she can't be allowed in a situation like this we're being chased by hundreds of bad guys and she wants to get into a yelling match

I take my  my hand away from her mouth, she gives me a pissed expression and I just respond with: okay first of all you're not law enforcement I know you're not you may be wearing some sort of uniform but you're clearly not the law

Caitlin seems to be at a loss for words: what how dare you accuse me of impersonating

I get her to be quiet again because A bunch of goons run straight past us: Well I know you're not an officer because you're acting really stupid for someone in this kind of situation, for starters we are being chased by a gang and you insist on yelling and screaming and giving away our location. Another thing you haven't tried to call for reinforcements of any kind which gives me the impression that you either came here against your higher authorities wishes or you're impersonating an officer. Oh and finally you're working alongside someone that isn't wearing any kind of uniform so what's really going on here Caitlin if that's your real name

Caitlin looks at me shocked that I was able to uncover it all, eventually after a long breath she reveals everything: alright fine I'm not an officer... Anymore I was I got fired for digging into something something something to do with Silco

Silco, yeah I'm definitely in another world I never heard that name before if he's a leader of a villain group I certainly haven't heard of anything like that

Caitlin continues: They attacked on progress day killed at least six officers I was nearly one of them is a not an inch and they stole something incredible power

Incredible power, maybe that's the thing that brought me here I need to know more about it. So I decide to ask nicely: and what is the thing they stole?

Caitlin crosses her arms and remains quiet, does she really think she's in any position not to tell me anything for starters even if she was an officer she said she's not an officer anymore so she's impersonating an officer and carrying around a dangerous weapon both of which are crimes in any world so she needs to start spilling the beans. But by the looks of her she's going to remain quiet unless I give her some reason to wait a minute I have my hero license maybe I can pass myself off as an officer of the law which technically I am just in a different way

I pull out my wallet and show it to her, she looks at it for a moment then starts to examine it her eyes widen as she says: you're an officer of the law?

I nod as I grab the pink haired girl up who's fallen unconscious from the blood loss but I'm able to stop the blood so she should be okay hopefully: yes I am so technically I'm only a trainee but that makes me more qualified than you so you're going to tell me everything that's been going on or so help me I'll arrest you for lying to an officer and impersonating one along with carrying a weapon without a license assuming you don't have a license

Caitlins demeanour completely changes she gives me a salute: of course sir sorry sir, this girl calling herself vi Said she could get me information about Silco in exchange I will get her out of the prison but she ran off leaving me behind in a brothel

I raise an eyebrow suspiciously: let me guess you got distracted and that's how she slipped away

Caitlin brushes and avoids eye contact and that's all I need to know: alright fine but whatever you were doing for now it's over, we're going to get her to a hospital or a doctor get her the help we need then we're heading to your police station where you are going to face trial for your crimes

Caitlin started panicking: wait I was only trying to do the right thing no one else would've done it no one else knows what's going on I had to do something

Flashback of The hero killer instant enters my mind, she's thinking exactly like he did he thinks that because she's doing the right thing it means she's above the law that's not right it's annoying but it's not right

I give Caitlin her gun back but I remove the bullets: alright first of all how exactly were you and her going to take down an tire criminalise organisation please enlighten me on your genius plan to take down this organisation with just the two of you

Caitlin opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out she looked down a bit embarrassed something tells me she didn't think this all the way through. But I have to admit takes all the guts to do what she's done.

I sigh and place my hand on her shoulder supportively: look I get it do you wanna do the right thing but doing vigilante work isn't the way if you did find some way to incriminate Silco any evidence that you and her found could easily be thrown away because you didn't have the right to get it

Caitlin looks at me as I continue explaining: alright full disclosure I've done something similar to this before and we caught the bad guy but we also nearly killed him because we were too brash and we didn't have proper training we almost got Into huge trouble because of it and that's exactly what you're doing right now Caitlin I get wanting to see justice served but you have to do it within the lines of the law otherwise you risk becoming what you're trying to stop

Caitlin looks down and looks it vi:.... You're right, what was I thinking of this was beyond stupid what the hell was I thinking that me and some girl could take down in entire criminalise organisation and you're right even if we found evidence of a crime and everything would be dismissed because we did it unlawfully

Pat on the back I feel bad for scolding her is in such a way and it does feel hypocritical to do so considering my past track record of recklessness. But I learned my lesson and so did Caitlin

Caitlin helping me get vi onto her feet: you're right we need to get her to a doctor. We should head back up to the surface, oh no the chief it's gonna tell my parents about this and they are going to be furious

Wait hold on a second the chief of enforcers. Wait a minute Caitlin said that this most recent crime cost the lives of six officers are and there was evidence that Silco was behind it, why wouldn't the chief take that seriously why are there any more officers down here? Unless oh no

I stopped in my tracks and Caitlin looks at me: what's the matter?

I'll begin to put a theory into my head but it's not good: Caitlin you told your chief about the attack and the similarity it had to Silco previous endeavours. Right?

Caitlin still supporting an unconscious vi: yeah I did but he didn't really seem to take much notice of it, I just thought it had something to do with my family standing my mother is very influential so not many people take me seriously because they think I'm a bit of a spoiled brat

Moving that aside something begins to ponder in my mind, granted maybe taking one word of one officer isn't exactly solid concrete to work on but if it's true and Silco has some sort of method or Mark he leaves every time he commits a crime then he should be at least investigated with a few officers and actually I haven't seen another officer other than Caitlin since I got here it's like they completely avoid this part of the city that shouldn't be right. Unless....

I call Caitlin and unconscious vi in a hurry as I explain: Caitlin what do you are just describing is your chief deliberately ignoring evidence

Caitlin still confused: what no he just doesn't take me seriously that's all

I stop and turn and look at Caitlin: Caitlin what you've described is a perfect lead that someone should look into yet you seem to be the only one interested I didn't you just say you got fired for looking into something that no one else did. that suspicious

Caitlin doesn't seem to understand or she's refusing to Face the fact, so I continue to try and convince her: Caitlin those people aren't doubting you because of your status they're doubting you because they know you're right

Caitlin's eyes widened: you don't think-

I finish her sentence: oh I do think so Caitlin someone in your enforcement community is covering up these crimes and trying to make it seem like they don't exist someone's working for Silco on the inside

Caitlin: but why we get a big enough paycheck what's the game from working with criminals!

We waddle forward with vi still unconscious: it might not be for money it could be blackmail or harassment or threats maybe all I know is right now Silco has the power up there and down here which means-

Caitlin finished my sentence: it means we're stuck here we can't go back to the surface because we don't know who we can trust and if we stay down here I'll be caught for sure. Dammit how can I not see any of this so perfectly clear now all those times they said I was a spoiled brat who was seeing things that weren't really there they were covering up their crimes and how could I be so stupid

I reassure Caitlin: it's not your fault besides we've got bigger problems to worry about now we need to find a way to get to a safe place at least until The heat down here then we'll find a way back to the surface and we'll figure everything else out

Caitlin looked at me: I thought you said that I was being silly for working outside the law

I smile: well yes you were. It was brave though tells me you've got spirit and you just rushed in without thinking. However now that I know what's going on here I can't turn a blind eye to this this corruption and this level of crime so I'm gonna help you take these people down then I'm going to find a way home. But right now like I said we need to find a place where we can hide and we can find a way back to the surface a safe place where we can figure all this out

Caitlin smiled back at me: okay but where are we going to hide

Surprising us both vi came out of unconsciousness and pointed to what appeared to be a giant crater in the ground and. I looked behind us and there were people chasing us well if we're going to hide it may as well be somewhere no one is going to look
