|Chapter XI|

Ivypool gasped. Why would he bring her here? She looked a down, wondering about how they were standing on leaves. MS was sitting down next to her, his tail over his paws. She hadn't really payed attention to his tail, it didn't have fur or skin on it. Ivypool looked at it for a while longer, then realized she was staring. She shook her head to clear her thoughts.

"You need to rest," MS meowed, pointing his tail at a spare nest.

"But it's sunhigh!" Ivypool countered.

"I never said you had to sleep."

Ivypool's whiskers twitched, a little unsure of what to do. She may trust him, but he was still dangerous. For all she knew, the leaves could lose support, letting her plunge to the ground. She shook her head. MS wouldn't let that happen. Ivypool walked over to the nest. It had feathers lining it. She curled up in it, and without trying, she fell asleep.

Ivypool opened her eyes to see stars. The forest was so green, so... Alive. She instantly recognized it as StarClan. Her eyes wandered, landing on a cat sitting nearby. He was black furred, a white spot on his chest. The tip of his tail was white, and his eyes were green. She hadn't seen this cat before.

"Hello, Ivypool," the tom meowed, walking towards her.

"Who are you?" Ivypool asked, curious.

"My name is Ravenpaw."

Ravenpaw? His name sounded familiar. Maybe Mousefur had mentioned him before. Another cat walked up next to Ravenpaw. He was black and white, and had amber eyes.

"My name is Barley," the new cat meowed.

Barley? That's it!

"You're the cat that Firestar helped escape!" Ivypool meowed, figuring it out.

Ravenpaw nodded his head. Ivypool still hadn't figured out one thing, why she was here. Another cat showed up.

Bluestar.

"Barley, Ravenpaw, can you please leave?" Bluestar asked. "I need to speak with Ivypool."

Ravenpaw and Barley left, leaving Ivypool and Bluestar to talk. Why had Bluestar come to her in a dream again?

"Ivypool, I need you to get the Three to trust MS," Bluestar meowed.

"What? Why?" Ivypool asked, a big shocked.

"If something bad does happen, perhaps, the Dark Forest rises again, their trust could be useful," Bluestar explained. "Plus, getting on MS' bad side doesn't seem like the best of ideas."

Ivypool lowered her head, thinking. Getting Dovewing to cooperate would be hard, but Jayfeather would be easy. She didn't know about Lionblaze, though. She raised her head and looked at Bluestar.

"Okay, I'll try," Ivypool promised.

Bluestar put her chin on Ivypool's head, as if she was making an Apprentice a Warrior.

"I trust you, Ivypool. Don't do anything to break that trust."

And with those words, Ivypool woke up. MS was sorting through something that she couldn't see. She got up from her nest and walked over. He was sorting through... Something..

"You're awake," MS noted without looking at her.

"What are those?" Ivypool asked, looking at what he was sorting.

"Different types of gems, they belonged to my mother."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring your mother up," she apologized.

"It's fine, she's not dead, we just went our seperate ways," he looked at her. "Clan cats don't know what gems are, do they?"

"No, what are they?" Ivypool asked, curious.

"Gems are colored stones, they're rare and Twolegs like them."

"They're pretty."

MS looked at her, his eyes blue. He touched a dark green stone, and it got a chain attached to it. He nudged it towards Ivypool.

"I'm not gonna wear that! It's a collar!" Ivypool protested.

"It's not a collar, it's a necklace," MS told her. "You wear them for vanity, and I made sure it wouldn't bother you while hunting."

Ivypool hesitated, then reached a paw out for the necklace. She slipped it over her head, and looked down at it.

"My Clan will think I've gone mouse-brained," Ivypool mumbled.

"They won't make fun of you if they want to be safe," MS meowed.

Before Ivypool could say anything, she was teleported into ThunderClan's camp. All the cats stopped to look at her, a few casting confused glances at each other. Firestar jumped down from the High Ledge and walked up to her.

"Ivypool, what are you wearing?" Her leader questioned.

"A necklace," Ivypool responded.

"Where did you get it?"

"MS gave it to me."

Firestar looked puzzled as to what to say next, and simply swished his tail.

"Is that where you were? With him?" Firestar questioned further.

"So what if I was!" Ivypool snapped.

Firestar looked suprised, then shook his pelt out.

"I suppose you don't have to listen to me anymore."

The orange tom jumped back up the High Ledge, walking into his den. Ivypool stared after him for a second, then walked over to the nusery. She poked her head in, and walked in when she saw that Dovewing was awake. She was greeted by harsh words.

"Get rid of it," Dovewing meowed, looking at the necklace.

"Why should I?" Ivypool countered.

"I still don't trust MS, can't you respect that?"

"News flash, Dovewing, but I trust him, I don't have to distrust who you distrust," Ivypool huffed.

Dovewing looked taken aback, but said nothing.

"I need you to trust him, okay?" Ivypool asked, calming herself down.

"You know I'd never trust him," Dovewing answered with firm words.

Ivypool sighed. This is going to be harder than I thought.
