Chapter 4

Well the rest of the day went by fast. But finally school was out! I told my goodbyes to Jade ,Rose, and told john I would see him later. After that, I waited for Dave to come out the school entrance. I guess he got caught up by the bullies again.

"Sun." It was Dave.

I turned around and smiled at him.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Yep! Lets go!" We both started walking. "So tell me what did them bullies want?" I asked him.

"Eh, they were talking some shit saying that we were going out, and making fun of my shades an shit like that."

"People piss me off, when they do that." I sighed.

"Yea." He looked straight ahead. "So where do you live anyway?" He looked at me this time.

"Umm right there!" I pointed to my house. For some reason Dave gritted his teeth. "What's wrong?"

Apparently he was starring in to space. "Dave?"

"What." He said clearly irritated.

"Is something wrong?" I asked him.

He shook his head. "No. Nothing."

"Okay..... So where do you live?" I asked changing the subject.

"Right behind your house." This made me smile. Yay he lives right behind me! I thought to myself.

"Awesome!" I jumped up and down twice.

"Whoa whoa, calm down."

"Sorry" I stopped jumping and walked a little faster. When I got to my driveway, I looked to see if mother was home. Shit, she was, "umm your gonna want to stay outside." I stopped him.

"Wait, why?" He sounded completely confused.

"Because, my mother," I thought about if for a second, "I guess you could meet her." I rubbed the back of my neck. He nodded and we headed towards the door. I took my key and unlocked the door.

"Mother, I want you to meet a friend I made today!" I yelled for her.

"Sun! Shut up! You know about not yelling in this house!" Mother came down in a ripped up dress and a bottle of vodka in her hand. "Who's this guy?" Mother slurred.

"This is my really good friend Dave Strider. He helped me with bullies today."

Mother looked at Dave then back to me. "Your a little slut. Watch tomorrow you come home with some other guy." She came closer. I looked at Dave and told him to get out real quick. He didn't listen.

"Dave get out!!!" I yelled this time. Which was a huge mistake.

She slapped me. Mother just slapped me. I put my hand on my cheek. It stung a bit.

"You such a little whore. Get the fuck out of my house!" She slapped the back of my head I grabbed Dave's hand and ran out, trying my best not to cry. When we got away from my house. Something unexpected happened. He hugged me. Dave hugged me,an tight. I let it out. I cried in his shoulder.

"Shhh, it's okay. Calm down."

"I'm sorry you had to see that." I sniffled.

"No no, don't say your sorry, I'm sorry I didn't help. Or listen."

"Sun? Dave?" That was johns voice. I unhugged Dave and looked at John,hi was running from next door . "I thought that was you guys! I swore I heard your voice and- Sun? What's happened? What's wrong?" His face was in pure worrieness.

I shook my head,"nothing's wrong. I'm fine." I sniffled. "Now lets go have some fun! Lets go on an adventure!" I smiled.

John laughed, 'you sound like my brother!" I smiled and started walking away from the house. I turned around to see the boys both giving death glares again. I sighed and walked to ten throwing each o my arms over their necks.

"Onward!" I said laughing. Dave and John chuckled. Now that I was putting all the pieces together, I thought To myself. When i showed Dave where my house was he gritted his teeth, and then John came out next door. Is Dave jealous? And why is John and Dave shooting glares at each other? All these thoughts flooded my head. When I was finishing thinking the boys were finally done and we were where we would have fun at... Roller Skating Rink......
