I groaned and grabbed my vibrating phone. I looked at Chad's name on the screen.

Did you think she was dead? Hah. Nope. Ethan stopped me when I was trying to draining her completely. I was still trying to drain her completely but Ethan decided to stop me, give her some of his blood and compel him to forget.

I ignored the call and put my phone down. I sighed when I couldnt go back to sleep. I quickly threw my hair into the messiest bun ever. The door opened and Maya waltzed in.

Maya: Hi Kota!

Me: Goodmorning Maya. Why are you in here?

Maya: Because daddy told me to tell you to wake up.

Me: And why's that?

She shrugged and sat at the bottom of my bed.

Maya: I guess because you sleep too much.

I grinned and nodded.

Me: True.

Maya: Daddy has to go to work today so he cant drop me at Tiffany's. Can you do it?

Me: When?

Maya: At 1:00.

Damn. I was supposed to get Alexandra at 1:00.

Me: Sorry M, I can't.

She frowned.

Maya: Okay.

She was about to walk out but I felt bad. I love my sister and I dont like seeing her frown.

Me: I'll take you.

Me: We'll go pick her up then I'll drop you off.

Maya jumped on me and squeezed my neck.

Me: Oh I know.

Maya: I'll go tell daddy.

She ran out and I grabbed my phone. I stupidly decided to call Chad back.

Chad: Why your ass always gotta sleep late?

Me: Its only 10 something. I wouldve slept later if you didnt wake me up.

Chad: Eh yeah. Im good for that.

Me: So what you need?

Chad: What makes you think I need something?

Me: Because your needy. Your like a crackhead. Like Felicia from Friday.

I laughed as I pictured her mean mugging me.

Chad: Your so mean but yes I do need something.

Me: Which is what?

Chad: 20 dollars and a ride.

Me: Nope. Im all booked up today.

Chad: Booked with what? You dont have a life.

Me: I do too thank your ass very much and I have to take Maya to a friends place then I'm hanging out with Alexandra.

Chad: Ooh Alexandra. When you gone tap. You know you want to.

Me: Maybe one day but not anytime soon. She's a beautiful and sweet girl. Im kinda liking her.

Chad: Right. Like you could ever like somebody.

Me: Shut up already. Damn.

Chad: Whatever bro. Can you give me a ride or what.

Me: Ask Ethan.

Chad: Ight. How about 2-

I hung up on her before she finished asked for money. I shot a text to Alexandra.

Me : When I get you Im gonna have my sister in the car . I have to drop her off at a friends. Is that okay ?

I almost instantly got a reply.

Alexandra : Thats perfectly fine. I cant wait to meet her. 😛

Me : I bet. She's a very hyper child but Im pretty sure she'll like you since I do .

I do like Alexandra but I dont know if its like a girlfriend kind of like. She's amazing yes but I honestly just dont know.

I got out of bed and went downstairs where my dad was getting his briefcase together he looked up and smiled at me.

Dad: Thanks for this. Im just so busy.

Me: No problem. She's my sister. I couldn't tell her no.

Dad: Your mother would be so proud of you. Your growing up , your mature. She would be so so proud of you. Just like I am.

My mother died when I was 13 and Maya was 2. Now we're 17 and 6.

Me: Thanks dad.

Dad: No problem kiddo. Im leaving and I should be back by tonight. If not then Im sleeping at the office..again.

I chuckled and nodded.

Me: Okay. I'll make sure Maya is fed before she leaves.

Dad: Okay. Thanks again.

Me: Yeah yeah now go before your late.

Dad: Oh right!

He quickly kissed our heads and ran out the door yelling "I love you!"

12:30

I laced up my vans.

Me: Yaya, you ready!?

Maya: Yes!

Me: Let's go then!

I grabbed my wallet , keys and phone then met Maya downstairs.

Maya: Is your date nice?

Me: She's very nice. She'll love you.

Maya: Okay.

We got in my car and I sped off to Alexandra's house.

I pulled up and got out. I went up to the door and knocked. A few seconds later Claire opened it.

Claire: Oh hey Dakota.

Me: Hey.

Claire: DAKOTA'S HERE!

I jumped by her yelling.

Alexandra: Im literally right here. No need to yell.

I smiled as Alexandra came into view.

Me: Wow. You look amazing.

Alexandra: Thanks. You too.

Me: Are you ready?

Alexandra: Yes.

I grabbed her hand and she said a goodbye to Claire.

Alexandra: Is that your sister?

Me: Yeah. Her name's Maya.

Alexandra: Maya. That's pretty.

Me: Yeah.

We got in the car.

Maya: Hi! Im Maya.

Alexandra: Hi Maya. Im Alex.

Maya: Your really pretty.

Alexandra: Awe. Thank you gorgeous.

Maya: Your welcome. Dakota do you like her?

I widened my eyes at her.

Me: Time to go. Buckle up.

I smiled as I heard Alexandra laugh.

Bowling Alley | 1:15 pm

I pulled up and parked.

Me: I hope you like bowling.

Alexandra: I love bowling. What nerd doesnt?

I laughed at her.

Me: I dont know.

We got out and went inside. We got out shoes and picked a alley.

Me: How good are you?

Alexandra: Better than you.

Me: Ooh. Trash talk. Who knew you were capable of that.

Alexandra: You do now.

I laughed and sat down with the wings.

Alexandra: You go first?

Me: Nah. You gone head.

Alexandra: Okay. Watch how a pro does it.

She grabbed a ball and rolled it down the alley thing. She got 9/10 pins.

Me: Hm. You missed one.

Alexandra: Think you can get a strike?

Me: I know I can.

Alexandra: Prove it.

We seitched places and I grabbed a black ball. I rolled it fown the alley and got a strike.

Me: Proved.

She sat back and folded her arms.

Alexandra: I dont like you.

I laughed.

Me: Dont lie to ya self babygirl.

Alexandra: My turn.

We played and she won.

Alexandra: Haha. I beat you!

She started dancing around making her dress twirl. I laughed and secretly put her on my snapchat.

Me: You beat me?

Alexandra: Yes I did. In your face!

She came towards me and stuck her tongue out.

Me: And thats why I put you on my snapchat, cause your adorable.

Her cheeks heated up making me laugh and pinch them.

Me: So cute.

She slapped my hands away.

Alexandra: Stop that.

Me: Nah. Your cute.

She blushed harder and sat beside me.

Alexandra: This feels a little bit too real.

Me: What're you talking about.

Alexandra: I mean think about it from my view; your a nerd with one friend and a crush on one of the most popular kids in school then your crush wants you to tutor them. Tutoring turns into going to a party, taking care of me while I was sick and going to a bowling alley. I don't know, it just feels weird.

Me: You have a crush on me?

Her eyes widened.

Alexandra: Um. I. Uh.

I smirked and grabbed her hand.

Me: I promise Im not doing all this for a stupid reason. At first I did need the help but then I started to somewhat like you.

Alexandra: You started to like me?

Me: Yeah. Why is that shocking?

Alexandra: I always thought you were into girls like Amber.

Me: I was but you came along and I just didnt feel nothing for her no more. I hardley ever did to keep it real.

Alexandra: So why did you date her?

Me: Her friends plus Chad thought it would be good. So then we can get even more attention. I honestly didn't care about the attention or popularity and I still don't.

Alexandra: Oh.

Me: Yeah.

She enterwined our fingers.

Alexandra: Your pretty cool. Why can't all populars be like you.

Me: I dont know.

Alexandra: You wanna go see a movie? I'll pay.

Me: When your with me, you dont gotta pay for nothing.

She leaned over and kissed my cheek.

Alexandra: Thanks but I'm still paying.

She danced off and I sat there smiling to myself. She's something else.

But I like it. Alot.
