The next morning rolled around and I hardly got any sleep. I wasn't feeling well, I was burning up and had a really bad headache.

The door opened and I saw my mom.

Mom: Good m-

Me: Please stop yelling. I have a really bad headache and your only making it worse.

Mom: Are you getting sick?

Me: I dont know.

I turned over away from her and closed my eyes. I felt a hand touch my forehead.

Mom: Baby your burning up.

Me: Yeah I know.

Mom: Stay home today and I'll come back on my lunch break to bring you some soup.

Me: Okay.

She left out my room and I closed my eyea. Going back to sleep.

Dakota|School Courtyard

I sat with Chad and a few other people when I saw Claire's car pull out. She was the only one who got out.

Chad: So what's your plan?

I looked at her.

Me: For what?

Chad: I'm pretty sure your only talking to the nerd so you can fuck.

Me: Im not yo. I'm talking to her because I can. Now shut the fuck up about her.

She rolled her eyes and walked off.

Ethan: So why are you talking to Alexandra?

Me: She tutors me.

Ethan: So you get a tutor and all of a sudden your completely done with Amberand you don't care about your popularity?

Me: Um, yeah.

Ethan: Hm no. Maybe you like her.

Me: No I don't.

Ethan: Oh really?

Me: Yep.

Ethan: Well since you don't have feelings for her, maybe I should ask get out. I mean Alexandra is gorgeous and smart.

The veins began to come to my eyes.

Ethan: Ooh. Maybe I'm hitting a spot.

I slammed him on the table getting attention from people since Ethan and I never fought and we're "popular". I whispered lowly so that only vampires could hear what I was saying.

Me: You go near her and you don't have to worry about being staked because I will rip your heart from your fucking chest.

Ethan smirked.

Ethan: Look at you sticking up for her.

Me: What?

Ethan: You don't just stick up for anybody. She's special to you, Kota.

I let him up and everybody went back to what they were doing.

Me: You played me.

He grinned and shrugged.

Ethan: Maybe I did.

Me: What was the purpose of that?

Ethan: To make you admit you got feelings for her.

The bell rang and we got up.

Me: Maybe I do.

Wer went into class and I expected to see Alexandra but didn't. I shrugged it off thinking maybe she was late.

The teacher came in with a girl behind him.

Teacher: This is Shawnee. For today only just sit beside Kota. Kota raise your hand.

I just sat there on my phone ignoring him. He sighed.

Teacher: Go into the back and sit beside the girl with the brown curly hair that's pulled up into a bun. She's on her phone.

Shawnee: Okay.

A few minutes later she was seated beside me and into Alexandra's seat.

Shawnee: Hi. Im-

Me: I honestly don't care.

Shawnee: Rude.

Me: Thanks captain obvious.

She sighed and leaned back in hee chair. When she did, it gave me a chance to check her out.

She had a chubby face but it was somewhat pretty. Her hair was long and brown. She was dressed aimple in leggings and a t-shirt.

Shawnee: Done checking me out?

I looked at her then turned back to my phone without a word.

Lunch Time

I walked into the lunch room and looked at where Alexamdra sat. Only Grace was there. I went over to where I sat. I sat beside of Ethan and across from Mia.

Ethan: Wassup?

Me: Wassup.

I took some of his fries and began to eat them. I checked my phone seeimg a messagw from Alexandra.

Alexandra : Hey there'll be no tutoring today. Im sick.

Me : Okay then. Feel better soon.

Alexandra : I'll try. Thanks.

I left her on seen and slipped my phone away.

Me: Im gonna go eat something else for lunch.

I got up but stopped once I heard Mia whisper.

Mia: More like someone.

I chuckled along with Claire and Ethan cause we were the only ones who heard it. I walked out the school and to the back of the school where the stoners be during lunch. There was this one girl there whose blood tastes really good.

Me: April. C'mere.

She stumbled and stupidly followed me to my car.

Me: Get in the back

She did as I said and I got in the otherside. I compelled her to be quiet then I sunk my fangs in her neck.

Alexandra|6th Block

I was laying down in my warm bed watching Netflix when the doorbell rang. Simce I was the only one here, I had no choice but to get it. I got up and slipped my feet into my slippers. I went downstairs and open the door, Kota was standing on the doorstep with a bag.

Me: What are you doing here?

I turned my head to cough.

Dakota: I brought you soup because you told me you were sick.

I smiled.

Me: What if Im contagious.

She pulled out a mask that they use in the hospital.

Dakota: I came prepared.

I opened the door wider but she just stood there with an unreadable expression.

Me: Are you gonna just stand there?

Dakota: I can come in?

I chuckled mainly cause I was confused.

Me: Yes. Come in.

She hesitated then walked in.

Me: Through here.

I led her up the stairs and into my room.

Me: Welcome to my room.

I held the bag as she put on her face mask. I shook my head while smiling.

Me: Just sit on the couch.

Dakota: Okay.

I dragged the table closer to the couch. and put the food on the table.

Me: Before we continue this friendship or whatever this is. Just to let you know if your only being nice ao you can fuck, then you can show yourself out.

She was quiet before sighing.

Dakota: Guess that's my cue then.

My heart literally broke.

Me: Guess so.

She started laughing and I looked at her like she was stupid.

Meg What's so got damn funny?

Dakota: I was joking, kid.

I laughed before punching her in the arm.

Dakota: Oww.

Me: So not funny.

Dakota: Was too.

I rolled my eyes before opening the bag. The food smelled so good.

Me: So what are you actual intentions since its not fucking?

Dakota: I think your cool. I wanna be ya friend.

Me: Awe. Well cool.

I handed her the remote and she changed the channel to Nickelodeon.

Me: Such a kid.

Dakota: Eh. No point in lying.

I smiled and began to eat the grilled cheese.
