Dakota | Lunch

I had blood on my shirt from draining someone of their blood so I had to quickly change which made me late for lunch but that's okay because I had my lunch already.

I went in the cafeteria and sat in my usual seat; beside Amber.

Amber: Hi baby.

She attempted to peck my cheek but I quickly moved.

Me: I'm still not your baby Amber.

Claire spoke so low that only vampires could hear.

Claire: You hurt my sister and I promise you I'll kill you.

Mia: Same here.

Ethan: Sorry nigga but me too. Alexandra is a sweet girl. Dont do her wrong.

Me: I wont. I promise.

Mia: We'd hate to rip your heart from your chest.

Me: No you wouldn't.

Mia: Yeah your right. I might just enjoy it.

Amber: Um why are you whispering to yourselves. You 4 look so damn weird but then again it's normal. Especially for Claire since she's related to Shrek.

I grabbed the ketchup and squirted on her salad. Then I grabbed the salt and overly poured it on her salad. I reached behind her and shoved her head in her food. She tried to fight me off but let's face it; I'm a vampire and she's human.

The cafeteria began laughing at her, including Alexandra and Grace.

Claire: Why are you laughing!? Stop laughing! I sit on the ramp I can ruin your reputations!

Ethan put it on his instagram.

Ethan: 26.5 thousand people will see this Amber.

She gasped and ran off with her makeup bag making the entire table laugh. I looked up at Alexandra's table, connecting eyes with Alexandra. She waved her hand over.

Me: I'll be back y'all.

I stood up and went over to Alexandra's table. I sat beside her and stole a fry.

Me: Wassup?

Alexandra: Nothing I just wanted you to sit over here.

Grace: So are the two of you a couple?

Alex's cheeks heated up.

Alexandra: Nope.

Me: Not yet anyways.

Grace: So Dakota, you like Alex right?

Me: Yeah.

Grace: And Alex, you like Dakota right?

Alex: Mhm. Why?

Grace: THEN YOU TWO SHOULD DATE!

Alex: Shush!

She looked around and I glared at the few people who looked over here.

Alex: You know I like to keep a low profile.

Grace: I do too.

Alex: Obviously not if your shouting and shit.

Their friendship was funny. Too funny.

Grace: Shut up. I just want you two together already.

Me: Why so eager?

Grace: So I can make up ship names!

I looked at Alexandra and she shrugged.

Alex: I still don't see how we're bestfriends.

Grace: Because you love my Puertorican ass.

( I think I spelt that wrong 😂 )

Alex: For some reason I do.

Grace: Have y'all been on a date yet?

Me: Not yet.

Grace: When will you go on a date?

Alex: Why're you so nosy?

Grace: Cause I can be.

She sipped her Lemonade while Alex looked down while shaking her head.

Alex: Im sorry for Grace. Grace is Grace. She doesn't know how to act.

I laughed.

Me: I'm used to it. Maya is the exact same way.

Alex: How is Maya?

Me: She's good. Still a energizer bunny.

She cracked a smile.

Alex: I love your sister. She's really funny.

Grace: Woah so you've met Dakota's sister? Ooh, thats 5th base!

Alex and I laughed.

Alex: There isnt even a 5th base idiot.

Me: Accoriding to Grace it is.

We laughed.

Grace: Oh shut up. So what's everybody doing after school?

Me: Practice.

Alex: Same. We both have practice. Why did you even ask.

She shrugged.

Grace: Im nosy.

The bell rang and they began getting up.

Me: Why're you leaving now? The bell literally just rang.

Alex: We like being early to class.

Me: Why.

Grace: Because that's what nerds do.

I laughed and shrugged.

Me: Okay true.

I got up and walked with Alex and Grace out of the cafeteria doors. I stopped and pulled Alex back lightly by her wrist.

Me: Coming to my practice?

She smiled and nodded.

Alex: Yeah. I'll just tell my sister to come back a bit later to get me.

Me: Or I could take you home.

Alex: That'll be your second time taking me home.

Me: Okay? Is that bad?

She shook her head making her pretty curls follow her.

Alex: I suppose not.

I grinned making my braces and dimples show.

Me: Okay then.

She poked one of my dimples.

Alex: Your adorable when your all smiles.

Me: And your adorable even when your not.

Her face began to heat up making me laugh.

Me: Awe look you just get even more adorable.

I swear she was about as red as a tomato now.

Alex: Okay I'm going to class now. See you after practice.

Me: See ya then babygirl.

She smiled and walked down the hall. I went back to the cafeteria where my table was still at plus Amber.

Nobody at my table goes to class on time. We usually get up about 5 minutes after class begins and actually make it in the class 7 extra minutes. So we're in our seats 12 minutes after class begins.

Ethan: So when are you going to make it official with Alexandra?

I shrugged as I began to play with my curly hair.

Me: I dont know. Soon more than likely.

Mia: Do you think its a good idea to e-

She looked at Amber, Chad and Matt before shaking her head.

Matt: No its okay. Go ahead and finish your sentence.

Mia: Nothing. It's stupid.

Amber: You sure?

Mia: Yeah.

Chad: Bro, are you sure you want to do this?

Me: Do what?

Chad: Ruin your reputation. I mean look at you. Your at the top of the social chain. Are you willing to just lose it all for a nerd and not any nerd, a sporty nerd.

My blood began boiling as her words replayed in my mind. I got up and looked around the lunch room to find it empty. I went up to her and dragged her to a corner.

Chad: Dude, what's up with y-AHH!

I sank my fangs into her neck.

Mia: Kota!

Claire quickly compelled Matt and Amber to get out of here and not remember anything and Mia pulled me off of her and compelled her that she got attacked by an animal and we had just found her.

Ethan: Dude! If your gonna suck her dry, at least do it in the woods or something.

Me: Aint like the cameras in here works anyways.

I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and looked at Ethan.

Me: She got what she deserved.

??: Dakota?

My head snapped to the doors and I saw Alexandra. Shit shit shit.

Claire: How much did you see?

Alexandra: She wiped her mouth.

Me: Damn it. Alex I c-

Alexandra: How many times do I need to tell you. Use napkins. Geesh.

She grabbed a water bottle and walked over to us. I laughed in relief along with everyone else.

Alexandra: All of you look like a deer caught in headlights or constipated.

Ethan: Hah yeah. Mia's constipated.

Mia: I am not!

Alex laughed.

Alex: I dont need to know that but okay.

She looked at Claire.

Alex: Get to class. Now.

Claire: I dont have to listen to you. Im older.

Alex: That maybe true but I'm the good child. Dont make me snitch.

We laughed as Claire's mouth dropped open.

Claire: You wouldn't.

Alex: I would.

Claire: To class I go then.

She walked off with Mia making us laugh. Alex look at me and I winked at her making her look down while smiling.

Ethan: Im gonna go to class now. See y'all around.

He left us and I grabbed Alexandra's hand.

Me: Imma walk you to class.

Alexandra: Why.

Me: Cause I can.

Alexandra: Touché.

I grinned and we walked out of the cafeteria.
