Rachel and Skylar looked at each other after what was said. Rachel instantly knew what had happened. When she told him she had to tell something, he thought the something was a pregnancy. Rachel face softened and said 

"I think we should talk about this Sky, but out at the kitchen table though" Rachel walked out of the room with Skylar following her. They walked out to the table and sat down across from one another. Rachel took a deep and said

"Skylar, I'm not pregnant. I'm not ready for a child but there will come a time in my life where I will be ready. Just not now. Especially not when we are sneaking around everyone your brother and soon to be brother in law included, and a pregnancy right now will draw a lot of attention to us both and on top of that I can't get pregnant at all anyway so I have to look at other options when the time comes, as because of my past abortion thanks to Jesse, I lost a lot of blood and as a result of that I can't have kids biologically. So when I'm ready I have to look at other options." Skylar felt guilty for thinking it and said

"I'm sorry for assuming really i am and when the time comes and if its me still with you, I will support you. but Nick knows about us? He isn't going to tell or tell Bas and Thad is he?" as Rachel started to speak they didn't hear the door open at all but they both heard

"Tell us what?" Rachel knew the voice, she knew without needing to look at the door

"Thad.." Rachel finally looked at the door and saw Thad staring at her and Skylar.

"I can't." Rachel stood up and then left Skylar's apartment she got the elevator and kept pressing the button for it open. When it finally arrived and she stepped, she pressed the button to the ground floor and just as the door closed a hand had appeared and opened the door. Rachel didn't look she knew it was Thad.

Thad had chased after Rachel. He walked in the elevator and pressed the emergency stop button to stop it from going anywhere. Thad walked to the back of the elevator and leaned on the wall. They stayed silent, until Thad said

"Am I going to pretend that I didn't see you in Skylar's apartment or are you going to tell me what's going on?" Rachel stayed silent. Thad folded his arms and said

"If I'm going to pretend that I didn't see you in there at least tell me why you're wearing his clothes and why you forgot to put on shoes." Rachel looked down and saw her bare feet. Rachel once again stayed silent. and Thad continued

"I see. you and Skylar are hooking up and you leave right after, one night stand kind of night. Tell me is it just Skylar or is it all your male students except Spencer." Rachel finally looked up, turned to face Thad and said

"How can you say that to me?" Thad looked at her and said

"Let's see you are in my fiancée's brother's apartment, you're wearing his and the minute you heard and saw me you bolted. What is going on Rachel?" Rachel softly spoke

"Do you promise to not tell Bas. Nicky." Thad rolled his eyes

"Of course Duval promised he wouldn't. and as for me it depends on what you tell me whether i tell my fiancee or not. So spill." Rachel took a deep breath and said

"Skylar and I are dating. we've been sneaking around for a while. We love each other it's not a fling." Thad was shocked and then said

"You do realise what you have done right. you and him both? His scholarship is in jeopardy and your job is on the line because of your relationship. Break up with him Rachel." Rachel was stunned at what Thad had said and he continued

"And if you don't I'll tell Seb, or I'll make sure he walks in on you two and make sure he knows that Duval knows." Rachel was angry at Thad and said

"No Thaddeus. I will not. I will dump Skylar and hurt his heart I won't. I love him, and he loves me, I'm sick of sacrificing myself for everyone else" Thad shook his head no and said

"This isn't you sacrificing yourself for others Rachel, this isn't an ultimatum. This is different." Rachel folded her arms and said

"How is it different?" Thad knew in that moment, as she asked that Rachel didn't know Skylar's past involving his old teacher Mrs. Ryan from Carmel High. Thad softly said

"Because it will destroy you both and destroy those around you. more than you'll ever know. Skylar will get hurt especially Rach." Rachel was silent once again and Thad continued

"I don't want Sky hurt. not by you of all people please. Not hurt like this " As he said that the elevator opened and they didn't know who got in and Thad looked at Rachel and said

"Break up with him Rachel. I'm begging you. Break up with him. This your relationship with him will hurt him more than it will hurt you. Break up with him before he gets hurt, before your both caught, and before Bas finds out about this please Rach." As he said that he hears

"Before I find out what exactly?" Thad and Rachel looked at each other and then turned and saw Sebastian had walk inside the elevator. Sebastian folded his arms and said

"Before I find out what? and Rachel why are you wearing that and why are you bare foot in an elevator in my brother's apartment building?" Rachel knew it was time for Sebastian to know what was going on. Rachel pressed a button in the elevator and said

"It's best if you see in person." The doors of the elevator had closed and they were making their way up to Skylar's apartment where Rachel had messaged him on the way up.

Skylar had read Rachel's message. Skylar felt guilty that he kept his past from Rachel, but he blocks it out. Skylar all of a sudden heard a knock. He thought it was weird because Sebastian had a key so he, Thad and Rachel wouldn't need to knock, and if Spencer needed him, Spencer would have told him he was coming around.

Skylar picked up his phone, walked to the door. He looked through the peep hole and saw her.

Skylar freaked and backed away from the door. Skylar hadn't expected to see his old teacher Mrs. Ryan who had hurt him in the past. Skylar knew what he had to do. Skylar quickly messaged his brother.

Bas,

I'm scared. She's here. She found me. 

The elevator had just pulled up to Skylar's floor when Sebastian read Skylar's message and there she stood. Someone Sebastian hadn't expected to see. Rachel thought the woman standing outside Skylar's place looked familiar and she couldn't place where. Rachel studied her for a while, trying to recognise her correctly, it was when the lady had turned around and saw her, Sebastian and Thad. Rachel gasped when she saw her the woman turned. It was her birth mother who had gone under a new name after leaving Beth on her own, Rachel knew Shelby had a completely new identity with Stella Ryan that only Puck knew about in which he told Rachel about it. Rachel had no idea that she would ever see her again not after Shelby made her feel unwanted.

Rachel couldn't believe Shelby was here. Rachel whispered only she could hear but Thad and Sebastian had heard her.

"Shelby."
