Kisame and Itachi sat there in the wide empty room. Listening attentively to their leader, Pein. The vacant walls hollowed whispers of regret and darkness each Akatsuki members held inside. If you think about it, every Akatsuki member has a dark, depressing dejection inside. They all went through some hardships. They each have their own story, and you could only notice it in some of their eyes. Especially the Uchiha. His piercing eyes holds the deepest pain, as he was known the man who destroyed his own clan, and his family. That, is the darkest pain you could only notice if you stared deep, I mean, really deep. The Uchiha hid all of that inside and showed hatred, and ice cold feelings towards his village. Probably, Kisame could find that pain inside the young man's eyes.
"You have to infiltrate to the Leaf Village. I know you've done this before. But this time, no mistakes. Take the boy immediatly. We need his power. He and a few others are left for our consumption. Once it's all done, we have finished the first step of our objective. So, tread carefully and don't cause too much attention. I will give you 3 days to find him. If you haven't by then, and Zetzu has confirmed your irretrievable breakdown of the infiltration, you are to report back. There is no need to stay there. You may catch some attention. 3 days and that's it. I am expecting something from you both."
Pein explained thoroughly. His eyes stern and sharp. Itachi and Kisame agreed to their leader and headed out the door.
"I'm gonna get my things. I'll be back." Itachi calmly said with his stoic, sharp voice. Kisame smirked and leaned against the wall, crossing his arms and waiting for his partner.
"Try not to use, that..." Kisame suggested as Itachi stood before him ready to go. "Oh there's no need to use my mangekyuo sharingan." He assured the shark man. Kisame chuckled to himself and gestured Itachi to the door. He politely went after the young man and smirked as he sealed the entrance shut.
They headed off back to the Leaf like yesterday. The village still alive and shaking. Itachi's got a lot of nerve. He quietly plans his infiltration with Kisame. They quietly walk in the village. Passing all the stores and their eyes wandering through everyone. They both didn't mind quietly walking through the loud city and not interacting towards each other.
"Kisame.. this way." Itachi said firmly. Kisame looked up at the store Itachi was caving in. It was a hardware, accessory store. Filled with things from tools for fighting to simple jewelry, vases, and home decorations. Kisame who was puzzled, followed Itachi.
"Why here Itachi?.." The older man asked. "We can't look like we're wandering around this village. We have to look like tourists visiting an unfamiliar village." Itachi explained calmly. He stood in the aisle holding a tiny, cute piggy jar. It was white and shiny. Kisame stood next to him glancing down at the young man. Kisame smirked to himself.
"Trust me...." Itachi assured beautifully with his head up, staring at the taller man. His Sharingan was activated a while ago. Kisame didn't notice until Itachi looked up at him. He looked, hot. Kisame had chills striking down his broad back. Damn, this man was gonna leave Kisame aching. For sure. Itachi assured him and glanced up at him. Today might be just another good day.
Itachi smirked at Kisame. His eyes held most of his emotions than his smirk. His eyes seemed to hold something to himself. They both appeared to be having some sort of secretive feelings towards each other.
*Kisame POV*
"That smirk he gave me.." I thought to myself as I felt the moment last for hours. In a quick second, Itachi moved his head down and walked away from me. He seemed to be heading to the aisle filled with sweets. I watched him from afar. His black, silky thick hair that never seemed to have a single split end. His smooth neck I could see just moving my eyes lower to him. I moved towards him as he glanced at the fridge filled with Japanese sweets.
"I didn't know this place had some desserts as well, Kisame.." Itachi commented. I laughed and told him to get some. He nodded and opened the fridge to get some sweet rice dumplings. It was a small package that had 6 skewers of them. I found that Itachi's sweet tooth really started kicking in lately. I wonder why.
Itachi turned to me and said, "I will buy these. Do they look nice?" He asked with his eyes staring through mine. His head genuinly moved up anytime he wanted to grab my attention. I was afterall, a lot taller than him. "They look lovely. Go ahead." I agreed. Itachi headed to the counter. As he pulled out his wallet, a dollar bill flew out and touched the ground. Itachi reached down and I unconsciously reached down as well, guessing that the young man was too busy counting his money, and planned to get the dollar bill afterwards. Our hands touched. Itachi though, he touched the dollar bill first. With my blue hand gently touching the Uchiha's warm, undeniably, irresistibly, smooth skin. Our eyes met and immediatly Itachi got up with the dollar bill and placed it on the counter. My heart was pounding out of my chest. I couldn't help but realize that I touched the man. I hoped my feelings weren't showing. I quickly breathed in and rolled my eyes towards the weapons on the left. I stole a glance at Itachi who I found, was staring at me.
I found Itachi staring at me. I couldn't believe it.
"Yes.." I quietly thought to myself. But I didn't dare to show it in front of the raven. His red sharingan this time, really stabbed me. He almost wanted to give a lovely intimation of his feelings. I felt it. I swear, I felt that intimation he seemed to be hiding this whole damn time.
He walked off. With the bag in his hands and shoving his wallet in his pocket. This was the first time Itachi, my partner finally showed some intimation towards me. He was always warily. But not today. I felt the "butterflies" people talk about all the time when they see the one they love, crawling inside my stomach. Dancing, twisting, and turning. Damn those butterflies. I just hope he can't see it in my face, or in my eyes.
*End of Kisame POV*
4 Hours passed and the two Akatsuki members had no luck finding the tailed beast. They sat underneath a tree as the sunset burned within the horizon. Zetzu slowly came out of the ground.
"We have information regarding the boy." He said. The partners listened as Zetzu explained how Uzumaki went off with Jiraiya, one of the 3 legendary sanins. They headed off to the town outside of the Leaf village. They headed off to Tanzakura Town. They were told to head out there and capture the boy. Kisame and Itachi agreed and Zetzu slowly dissolved away into the ground.
"Well, well.. seems like we have to leave this place and find that little rascal." Kisame teased. Itachi nodded, "Yes, but first Kisame.." Itachi said with a quiet tone. Kisame with a puzzled look, he stared at the younger man who leaned upwards and got up from the grass.
"We have to get some rest. We will head out tomorrow morning. We are dealing with Jiraiya. The boy is with him and if we encounter him with our strength weakened from all this searching, we will fall." He explained with a monotone voice. Kisame chuckled and got up to put his sword behind his back.
They left the Leaf Village and walked down the road under the night sky. "There's a hotel yonder. We will rest there." Itachi said. "Alright then." Kisame said.
"If we do meet with that Jiraiya, will you use your Tsukuyomi? You know that's dangerous..." Kisame asked. "Maybe we will have to. That's why I need to recharge my strength and make sure I'm fully rejuvenated. I may have to use my Mangekyuo Sharingan or maybe even my Amaterasu." Itachi explained.
They reached the japanese hotel. There was only one room left open. They agreed and paid for the room. They headed up two floors and reached the room number 34.
Itachi opened the door and noticed a bathroom, a couch, a television, and one bed. He undid his Sharingan and removed his cloak. Kisame warily placed his sword against the wall and watched as Itachi lied on the bed.
There was only one bed.
Itachi closed his eyes and lied on his side. "So.. I guess I will take the couch?" Kisame asked tentatively.
"No." Itachi replied expressing the "n". He gently placed his hand on the bed and said, "I don't mind you sleeping here. You need your full strength and lying on the couch that's smaller than your height won't be comfortable. It's fine." Itachi explained with a lucious, calm tone. He seemed very chill. Like what he was saying didn't sound wrong at all. The fact that he offered Kisame to sleep here innocently seemed so kind yet so wrong. Itachi was nonchalant as usual.
Kisame's eyes widened. But he noticed that Itachi was calm and not leaving anything sexual to the moment. He removed his cloak and lied next to the younger man.
"Under the covers..?" Kisame asked him as he sat up glancing at the younger man. "Yeah." Itachi agreed and curled his legs up to move the blanket down so that they can sleep underneath it. Both of their legs were underneath the japanese blanket. Kisame lied on his back. He stole a glance at Itachi who was slowly removing his red hair band that tied all that damn lucious hair. Itachi turned his eyes and at the corner of them, they noticed Kisame staring. Kisame looked away blushing. Itachi turned his head and lied on the bed facing Kisame. With his hair hugging the bed and spreading all over the pillow, he stared at the older man.
"Good night Kisame.." He said warmly with almost an alluring whisper. "Yeah.. goodnight. Itachi...." Kisame said pushing away his thoughts.
Kisame turned off the lamp and lied back on the bed. Staring at the raven who's eyes were closed.
Today, Itachi, finally showed some emotion towards me. And I mean, those emotions that I felt he never had. Especially towards me.
