Dan's POV
Phil held Eriana as we left the meet and greet. It left us tired and emotional, but I loved every minute of it.

I let my hand rest over Phil's shoulder as he bounced Eriana in his arms. She was starting to get fussy and that's because it was about time for her nap.

Phil seemed exhausted. That woman had shaken him up pretty badly. I never seen Phil get upset about hate. He always was able to brush off other people's comments no matter how negative they may be. This was new. I guess becoming a father changes you. You want to protect your child, and he just wants his child to feel loved.

Phil rested his head on my shoulder as we approached our friends. Normally I would worry because I know if a Phandom member saw us the world would explode, but Phil needs comfort. He needs someone to just be there, and I am lucky enough to be that person.

"How was the meet and greet?" Louise asked smiling from ear to ear.
"It was a lot tonight. " I said for Phil. I could hear Phil let out a sigh of relief only I could hear.

"I'm sure they were just overly excited. You guys want me to take Eriana for a couple of minutes and you two can take a quick walk?" Louise asked.
Phil nodded.
"Here Louise. Thank you so much. Well be back in 30 minutes to an hour." I said taking Eraina from Phil and passing it to Louise.
"Take as long as you need. " She said cooing at Phil's daughter.

Phil stood up and we began walking with no real direction.
"Phil you ok?" I asked softly. He looked at me and nodded.
"It's just this is all so much harder than it's supposed to be. I want to protect her with my life and I can't. I keep thinking of that girl. I just want to thank her for being so kind but also ask her if she's ok. Dan how do people do this?" Phil asked looking into my eyes.

His blue, yellow, green eyes which normally are shinning with joy are shimmering with exhaustion and sadness.

"Phil, people who have been small minded will either come around or feel the wrath of everyone who is so freaking in love with this kid. Phil, so many people were so happy when you were talking to Eriana back stage during our show we just went silent. I saw people crying and talking about how much they love this girl who at the time they never met. It's all gonna be ok. You got me. Your mother will either accept this or she can miss out on the luckiest kid in the world. Phil it's going to be ok." I ranted and I didn't even notice it until I saw the tears that had left Phil's eyes before he pulled me into a hug that I could tell he needed by the way he held me.

He held me as if I was the only thing stable in the world. I didn't mind. I wanted Phil to feel secure and safe. Phil's life was thrown into shambles as he is trying to raise a child on his own.

I was surprised that he didn't break down sooner.

"Phil I got you. You and Eriana aren't on your own. I'm here and I'm staying." I stated.
I felt his head not as he smiled at me.
"When did I get so lucky to meet such a great person like you?" He asked.
"You're AMAZING Phil, and the universe wanted you to have a place for you to feel safe with."

Phil smiled and I saw the sadness turn into joy.

"Let's go get Eriana. I'm tired." Phil stated.
I nodded as we walked around to find Louise, feeling perfectly secure.

Everything's gonna be fine. I will make sure of it.
