Stranger Danger

"Ready, (Pet's/Name)? Here comes the airplane." You made airplane noises as you feed your adorable pet cat-dragon. "Meow!" (P/N) always loves it when you feed her, you forgot how much you missed her. She was a cute little kitten that your parents gave you for your birthday when Star left to Earth. You just couldn't believe that you found her again. Yes, she would always just wander around and disappear.

(P/N) sees Star's magical laser puppy and takes off running. "Aaaaah, (P/N)! Come back!" You ran after her as you saw her jump out of the window. The laser puppy stopped chasing her as soon as she was gone. "No! Just when I thought she wouldn't leave my sight." You heard (P/N) outside of the castle, which meant that she was outside in the garden. You ran out the door and saw a mysterious women picking up (P/N) from the flowers she ran into.

"Whoa, (P/N)! Heh, oh my goodness, I am so sorry about your roses." The women turned to look at you and smiled. "Oh don't worry. They're just flowers. It's not like they're something really cool, like this little cutie." She gazed at (P/N) and rubbed her head, "Isn't that right?" (P/N) purred as the women stroked her fur. "How did you know that she likes to be patted on her head?"

The women giggles as she handed you (P/N). "She just looked like she needed a little head scratch. You know, once in a while, you've got to slow down and appreciate the feeling of a nice head scratch, or the smell of a freshly bloomed rose, or the taste of a delicious candy bar." She takes out a chocolate bar and eats it. She throws the wrapper into a bucket filled with many similar wrappers.

"I might have some self-control issues." The women said causing the both of you to laugh. "Yeah, me, too. You seem so familiar. We met before, right?" You continued to stroke (P/N)'s head. "Maybe. I used to visit this garden a lot. Oh-oh, have you been to the Rose Tower?" She points to a nearby tower. "The view of the garden is absolutely divine."

"Oh, no, no. That's been condemned since forever. My parents told me not to go there." "Well, don't let that stop you." You giggled as you walked next to her. "Hey, if you're around tonight, you should come to the royal dinner." "Oh, that sounds delightful. But I may have other plans." She said with a little smirk. "Oh. You got a hot date?"

The women smiled as she picked up a rose. "Something like that." Before she could hand you the rose your mother and the Magic High Commission burst down the castle door and enter the garden. "Y/N!" You heard your mother, she sounded worried. "Mom!" Omnitraxus Prime smashes his way to Eclipsa and pins her to the wall. The other guards run over to him. "Ouch, that's a little brutal. What is going on?" You held (P/N) closer to your chest.

Your mother gasped as she placed her hands over your shoulders. "Y/N, are you okay? Did she hurt you?" You gave her a confused look. "What? No. No one hurt me. I was just talking to that nice lady. Until you all came and smashed her to the wall!" "Nice lady? Y/N, that's Eclipsa." Moon said as she pointed to Eclipsa. "Oh. Long time, no speak, Moon. How did that spell work out for you?" Eclipsa smirked. "Not another word out of you, Eclipsa." You stared at both of them with a baffled expression. "That's Eclipsa!?"

You stand in the shower where (presumably) water is being dumped onto you. "We need to decontaminate you," Hekapoo turned the water off. You shiver, then let out a yelp as Hekapoo holds up an otoscope to your face. "Look into the light, please." "What? Why?" "Uh, to check for spots of evil. That's why." Hekapoo takes the otoscope from your face. "Spots of evil? This is ridiculous!" "Well, there's no telling what Eclipsa might have done to you."

"Stop it! I am telling you, Eclipsa didn't do anything to me! I am fine!" Rhombulus pulls up a wheelchair and bumps you into it. You are dropped off by Omnitraxus Prime who stands ready next to an eye chart. "Cover your left eye with the paddle, and read the lines as best you can." "I-A-M-E-V- no you don't. That just spells 'I am evil.'" "That was, like, totally an admission." Rhombulus and his snake arms hissed.

"I was reading the thing. You don't think I'm an evil girl do you?" You changed your voice to an adorable and cute tone causing Rhombulus to blush and turn away. "N-No, of course, I don't. Uh, I mean of course we don't." "Then can you please stop it with these tests?" Before anyone could answer Star and Marco walk inside, looking more puzzled than ever. "What the heck is going on in here?" Marco grabs her hand, "Maybe we should leave right now."

"Is she alright?" Moon entered and saw Star and Marco. "I am fine. I talked to Eclipsa for one minute, and she was really nice. No big deal." Moon grabbed your shoulders as if to get your attention. "Y/N, she betrayed her kingdom. She abandoned her people so she could run off with a monster." "Yeah, so what?"

"They crystallized her before she had the chance." You looked at your mother, little tears were escaping your eyes. "Wa-wait, you crystallized her for being in love?" "To a monster. And that's not all. She didn't respect the natural order. She meddled in the dark arts and created her own chapter of dangerous evil magic. Y/N, please, these tests are for your own good."

You pushed your mother's hands off your shoulders. "Ugh! I am good. And, it sounds like Eclipsa didn't deserve to be crystallized. I mean, what's next, are you gonna crystallize me for being in love with a monster!?" Tears began to fall from your cheeks.

Moon looks at Star, Marco, and the Magic High Commission. "Give us the room." The others leave and Moon sits next to you. "You know, when I first met Eclipsa, I trusted her, too. I didn't know any better. Truthfully, Y/N, you're very capable for your age, but-" You wiped your tears with the palms of your hands. "What are you going to do to Eclipsa?" "I'm afraid the only option is immediate re-crystallization."

You stood up with your back facing your mom. "That's harsh. You can't just go crystallizing-" "This isn't a debate, Y/N. I gave my orders to the Magic High Commission, and they're on their way to her cell as we speak. She's to be re-crystallized immediately." You turned to face your mother who was about to stand up. "No! I won't let you do this!" You bolted out of the room leaving your mother behind. "Y/N! Dear, why won't you listen to me!"

Star and Marco saw you race down the hallway, catching up to the Commission as you open the door. "Rhombulus, no! wait!" You crash into Rhombulus as he fires his crystal blast, causing it to ricochet off the walls, floor, and ceiling. The spell hits Rhombulus in his butt, causing small crystals to grow out of it. Moon ran inside the room and glanced at you, Star and Marco followed behind. "Well, Y/N, you've caused quite the ruckus." "Why won't you all just listen to me for one second? If Eclipsa is as bad as you say she is, then put her in a crystal. But she deserves to have a fair trial."

Moon becomes agitated as she places her hand on her forehead. "Oh, for goodness sake, fine. We'll have a trial. But I'm only allowing this because I want there to be no doubt amongst anyone in Mewni-I'm looking at you, Y/N-that Eclipsa is evil and deserves her fate." You smile at your mother and look at Eclipsa. "See Eclipsa? Around here, we believe in a little thing called the justice system."

The Commission began to leave. "Hey, where are you going?" Moon stops in her tracks and turns to your direction. "Well, it's going to take a little time to get the trial all set up." "You can't just leave her chained up in this dark and smelly dungeon." Eclipsa smiles as she looks at you. "You know, I always did enjoy gazing at the roses."

Later Than Evening

"Oh, hello, Princess Butterfly." A female guard greeted you. "Stand aside." The guard stands aside, and the other begins unlocking the multi-locked door. You sigh, and then just open all the locks with your wand. "Eclipsa," you closed the door behind you and approached her. "Y/N. I was hoping you'd-" "I need your help," you interrupted her. "You fell in love with a monster, right?" Eclipsa sat on her couch near a window. "Of course I did. If the Magic High Commission and your mother think that's evil, call me a villainess."

Eclipsa pats the seat next to her, insisting you to join her. You smiled and took a seat. "You see, I-I'm..." Before you could tell her anything else she places her finger over your lips. "You're in love with a monster, am I right?" You stare at her in astonishment as you lightly pull the bangs of your hair. "H-How did you know?" Eclipsa giggled as she looked out of the window. "Because, you stopped your mother and the High Commission from crystallizing me. You saw nothing wrong with me loving a monster, you're just like me. You're in love with a monster."

You giggled knowing that someone understood you perfectly well. Mewni didn't like the idea of a princess being in love with a monster. Eclipsa didn't care about that and did it anyways, because she was in love. "This place doesn't exactly seem fair." "Well, I love it here. Actually, this was my room, you know, back before when I was in love. A lot has changed. But the most important thing is still the same." Eclipsa walks to the window and pulls back the curtain, revealing a view of the garden.

"Ah! Wow! This view is incredible."

"Isn't it?"

A few minutes passed and you heard the door open. "Star!" Both you and Eclipsa said in unison. "Don't move. I gonna need some answers. Did you or did you not mess with dark magic?" You walked in front of Star, who was pointing her wand at Eclipsa. "Star, What are you doing? And where is Marco?" Star placed her wand down and ran to give you a bear hug. She was obviously worried about you. "I told Marco to stay in his room while I tried to find what the heck was going on today."

Star returned her attention to Eclipsa, who was still sitting on the couch. "Well... I did what I had to do for me." Star raised her wand again as if trying not to let her guard down. "Wait. Are you in my mind? They said you could be in my mind, and I wouldn't even know." "Definitely not. But if I were, I wouldn't tell you." There was an awkward silence before she said that it was a joke. Star nervously chuckled, "Oh, it wasn't very funny. But that's okay, 'cause..."

Star reaches for a brown bag and opens it to reveal Glossaryck. You and Eclipsa looked at him. "Is it me or does he look different." Star sheepishly laughed while rubbing her head. "Remember what happened at the Battle of Mewni." You recalled the memory from your hippocampus.

Flashback

The only thing you remembered was being trapped in a dungeon with your father. Your mother was gone and that's all you knew. It all happened all so quick, you and River were having one of your father/daughter bondings. Then Ludo came and invaded the castle with his army of rats. In the dungeon, River was shirtless and was only covered by his shorts that were made of leaves. As for you, you were wearing the same thing, but with your bra as well. The both of you were basically stripped out of your clothes.

"Dad, what are they gonna do to us?" You said with a scared and fragile voice. River looked and smiled at you as if not to worry. "It's okay my little butterfly, I won't let them hurt you." The sounds of the doorknob turning sent shivers down your spine. The rats walked in carrying Ludo on their backs. River glared at him. "What do you want?" "You're coming with me." "No way. I'm not going anywhere with you."

Ludo unlocked River's shackles. "That's too bad. It's urgent royal business. I need you to command the people to like me." River bursted out laughing. "Why would I do that? Y/N and I don't even like you. Shuffling about and talking to that wand hand of yours. It's weird."

Ludo growled as he puts his keys inside his beard. "Fine! If you won't help me, then you can just rot in this cell! Say goodbye to your freedom!" Ludo smiled as he thought of a new plan. "Change of plan. I'm giving you twenty-four hours to figure out a way to make the people of Mewni like me, or I'll... I'll Levitato you into the sky forever!" Ooh, I'm so scared," River sarcastically said. Ludo and the rat guards leave.

A few minutes passed before a boy with a red hoodie and three others pop in through a sewer entrance in the floor. "Ah! Marco!" The boy who you later believed was Marco, walked in front of you with a key in his hand. "Dad! Who are they?" Marco looked at you and unlocked your shackles, he saw how scared you were. "Don't worry, we're busting you out of here." You rubbed your wrists and immediately hugged him, causing him to blush. You pushed back knowing that your body was almost exposed.

"Wow, Ludo must've been crazy to strip you from your clothes." You looked at the ground feeling embarrassed. Marco ran to your father and was about to unlock his shackles, but he refused. "I won't abandon my people." Marco was taking a back. "What?!" "Sometimes, you've got to let the king go." Before Marco could talk some sense into him, they heard Ludo coming.

Marco, Ruberiot, Foolduke, and Mime Girl exited into the sewers. Before you could follow them Ludo, eagle, and spider entered. "Time's up. So, um... ready to... Wait. Wait. Where's my key?" Ludo picks up the key from the floor. "I must've dropped my key right in front of you, and you didn't even notice." Ludo noticed that you weren't chained anymore. "What?! I can't believe it. You almost could've gotten away. Turns out you aren't so stupid at all.'

"So are you going to force everyone to like me, or is it Levitato time?" Ludo walked closer to your father, you leaned against the wall and crouched down. "You may have the crown, but you will never be king." "We'll see how you feel once -" Ludo glanced at you and back to River. He chuckled like the maniac he was. "We'll see how you feel once you're Levitato'd and your daughter becomes my slave!"

Ludo, eagle, and spider took you and River to a gallow surrounded by villagers. Your father was placed in the stocks. You had a collar that was chained to the chain that eagle held in her mouth. "Leave my daughter alone you monstrous beast!" River tried to free himself from the stocks, but it was useless. "Do you have any last words, King?" Ludo spoke as he walked over to you. You were laying on the ground drained and hungry as he held your chin up. "Don't you dare do anything to my butterflllllyyyy!" River was levitated high into the sky. Tears left your eyes as you glimpsed at Marco hiding in the sewers. "R... Run..." The Mewmans all began to scream and shout.

That was...unexpected, I know

End Of Flashback

You quivered at the thought, that was the worst experience ever in your life. "Star why did you remind me of that!" Star ran to you and stroked your hair. "Sorry, sorry, I forgot that you were almost..." You closed your eyes and pulled on your bangs again. "You're not helping!" "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I'll stop talking now!" Glossaryck jumps on to Eclipsa's face. "Glossaryck! Good to see you." Eclipsa touches his forehead. "Globgor," just like that Glossaryck fell asleep. "Aw, they're so sweet when they're sleeping." You grasped Star's hand and told her to look outside the windowpane. Just like you, she gazes at it in awe. "This view is beautiful." You placed your hands on your cheeks, "Isn't it." Eclipsa peeped at you and smiled.
