Chapter Twenty-Six: Language.

I dont know where I stand with you.
And I dont know what I mean to you.
All I know is every time I think of you,
All I want to do is be with you.

Chapter Twenty-Six: Language.

He forbids me? He'll see what I can do!

The next morning, Char woke early to prepare for a jug. She was going back to that park to ask for Ian’s number. Then she'll flaunt it in Daniel's face and make him understand that he's not the boss of her.

She made a quick show of tying her the laces of converse. She didn't want to fall flat on her face.

“Good morning mom, dad,” Char greeted her parents as she ran down the stairs. Making sure to hurry up, she didn't want to miss Ian, and her opportunity to prove Daniel wrong.

“Morning honey, where are you going?” Leslie asked.

“For a run.” Char answered.

“You seem to be doing a whole of that this week.” her dad mumbled.

Char chuckled. She wasn't actually going for a run. She just wanted to ask for a number but they didn't need to know that, especially her mom. That would be a disaster. “Dad, I need to be fit.”

Ryan laughed at that. “Yeah, right.”

Char shook her head. Her dad was such a tease.

“I'm going.” she announced before running out the front door. She had to hurry before Ian lef—

“Uhg!” Char screamed as she hit a hard surface. On her porch? What the hell? Who placed a huge rock on her porch?

“You're not going back there.” she heard the rock talk.

When did rocks start to talk?

She looked up and came eye to eye with Daniel. He had his arms wrapped around her pressing her down to his chest. It took her a good two minutes to recover from the shock. Their closeness was suffocating her and she needed to breathe. What the hell was he doing here? Had he been watching her?

Stalker alert!

“What are you doing here?” she asked as she wriggled, trying to free herself from his grasp.

“I was going to take a walk and then I saw you heading out. Where are you going? To the park right? To Dickless?” he asked, tightening his hold on her. He wasn't going to let her go.

“Oh? So the minute I decide to run, you miraculously appear? How fortuitous!” she yelled, shaking frantically. He won yesterday. She wasn't going to let him win again.

“Just listen to me for a second!” he yelled.

“Oh! I'm sorry. I couldn't hear you over the little voice in my head scream ‘What a load of crap’!”

“Char—” he began.

“If you could read my mind, you'd back away slowly. Then run for your life.” she mumbled against his chest. She'd stopped struggling, waiting for the right moment. The minute he let his guard down, she was going to show him.

He chuckled. “I'm not letting you go.”

“Annnd, poof!...all my patience is gone! Ta-Daa!” she exclaimed before kicking him where the sun don't shine and pulling out of his grasp.

“Ah! My ...fucking ...balls!” Daniel gradually went down on his knees, clutching his man-jewels. He gasped as pain rippled through him. “You... Idiot... ” he scrunched up his face and cursed at Char.

All through her life, Char had never heard Daniel curse as much as he did at the moment. Some of the profanities muttered, she hadn't even heard before and that's saying something, because she'd known Cat for seven years and Cat had never used words like that. And Cat swore like hell. She looked at Daniel and laughed, so hard tears were falling out. He looked ridiculous clutching between his legs, kneeing in front of her.

“I swear you're gonna pay for that. I swear.” he said quietly, closing his eyes. “I'm dying.”

“I don't know what you're dying on,” Char said, laughing. “but I hope it's slow and painful.”

She made to walk pass him but he grabbed her hard, flinging her over his shoulder so that her legs were up in the air, her stomach resting on his shoulder and head facing downwards. “You're not going anywhere woman. Remember that time when I asked for your opinion? Me neither.”

The nerve! He didn't even let her answer. This was so uncomfortable. “Put me down, you weirdo! Put me fucking down!” she screamed as he walked back into the house, wailing her arms in the air. “Put me down!”

“No. Now, stop struggling.” he ordered as he walked past the kitchen. “Morning Mrs Winston, Mr Winston.” he greeted as he passed.

“Hey Daniel, how are you honey?” Leslie asked.

“I'm good, thank you.” he replied with a polite smile.

Am I invincible? I'm hanging over his shoulder for God's sake.

“Why is my daughter hanging over your shoulder?” Ryan asked, watching Char as she wriggled in the air.

Finally.

Daniel looked from Char to Ryan and chuckled. “She's very stubborn.”

Ryan stopped to think for a moment then shrugged. “Carry on.”

Char stopped struggling for a moment and look over at her dad. “What? What gives?” she asked him. What sort of a father doesn't care that his being kidnapped?

Well, not really kidnapped. You get my drift.

“I don't know about you but you look good from down here.” Ryan shrugged, taking a sip from his cup of coffee.

“What kind of a father are you?”

She wasn't given the chance to get a reply as Daniel carried her up the stairs and into her room. He moved with such speed and energy that Char wondered if she weighed lighter than a feather.

“Put me down this minute!” she ordered as he walked into her room.

“If you say so,” he answered before throwing her down on the bed.

Char landed on the bed with her back and she groaned as she fell. “You idiot.” she muttered. Slowly, she came up and winced as pain rippled through her. She got up on her feet and move to the other side of the bed, leaving Daniel to stand opposite her on the other side.

“You were going to him, weren't you?” he snarled, looking directly in her eyes.

Char watched him. Why was he acting like this? First they kiss, then he brushes it off like it was nothing and now he's restricting her from going to see other guys? How the hell can guys become so bipolar in one minute?

“Sorry, I don't take orders. I barely take suggestions.” she shrugged. She was having an awesome time seeing him all worked up about nothing. The plan was to get the number and shove it in his face. It wasn't like she was going to call Ian or anything.

“Woman, I already said I'm sorry. What do you want from me? My left nut?” he wailed his arms in the air dramatically.

Char rolled her eyes. “You know, we have what we call, an irrational sense of entitlement. It won't kill you, but it'll cause you to believe you deserve shit for doing nothing.”

“Huh?”

“All I'm saying is that one of us is right and the other one is you.”

Daniel cocked his head to one side. He had this insane feeling that she was having fun tormenting him. But.. Why didn't he want her to go? Was it because he wanted to be the only male in her life? That couldn't be possible because she already had Zach and Ryan. Then what was the reason? He had no idea, he just didn't want Dickless anywhere near Char.

“You're crazy. You're fucking crazy, you know that?” he groaned. Why did she have to be so stubborn?

Char tried to hold in a laugh. “Me? Crazy? I should get off this horse and slap the shit out of you.”

“Were you really going back there?” he asked.

“Well, you said I couldn't do it. So naturally, I did.” she paused. “Or was about to. Your stupid ass got in the way. Now move aside so I can finish what I started.” she walked towards him and passed. Well, not really. He held her arm and drew her back to her original spot. She stumbled back, holding her edge of the bed to regain her balance.

“Nope. Never.” he said, trying hard not to laugh at the look on Char's face.

This was beginning to get annoying. What was his problem? Did he want her to hand over her rights to picking a boyfriend to him? Or was he just doing this to spite her?

“I hope you're not allergic to nuts. 'Cause I'm gonna kick yours up into your throat.” she stood up straight.

“Really?” he smirked, crossing his arms on his chest.

“No.” she scoffed and rolled her eyes.

It was his turn to roll his eyes. “You don't have to be so sarcastic.”

“I know, I don't have to be this sarcastic but the world has given me so much material to work with and I'm just not one to be wasteful.”

Daniel chuckled. No matter how stubborn and annoying she became, Char would always find a way to make him laugh. With her, nothing was ever boring. Did you ever find that one person that, even though you wanted to rip her throat out most of the time, you couldn't ever imagine going through life without that one person by your side? Yeah, that was how Daniel felt as he gazed upon Char. And the funny part was, he missed this. The fighting, bickering, arguments... He missed it. He missed her.

Daniel knew how to end all this. He knew just what to do to shut her up. He could've done it yesterday at the park. But he didn't want to. Now, he was definitely going to do it.

He took slow steps toward her, drinking in her form. He'd been to busy bickering with her to actually noticed what she was wearing. A blue tank top and  black leggings which made her ass look finer. Daniel smirked as he thought back to twenty minutes ago when his hand had been on that fine ass. He stopped for a minute and chuckled.

Char almost melted as she felt him coming closer.

No. Closer wasn't good.

It was bad.

For her health.

And crazy hormones.

Closer was going to make her lose her ground. And she wasn't one for losing.

“I want to take a shower now.” she gestured to the door. “Get out.”

Daniel looked at her for a minute, shook his head and laughed. How could she be stupid? She wanted to take a shower, and she expected him to leave? He was already picturing her naked!

“Is something funny?” she asked, still glued to her spot.

“I'm not going anywhere.” he stated before walking toward her again. This time, with a faster pace.

Char's eyes widened as she took small steps backward until her back hit the wall. No. No. No. She shook her head. There was no where to go. She knew exactly what he was going to do and she also knew he was going to win, again.

Daniel laughed as he watched Char squirm under his gaze. Good. Exactly how he wanted her to be.

He closed the distance between them, placing his hands at each side of her head and leaning forward until his mouth was directly behind her left ear. He watched as she turned her head to the right, not wanting to look in his eyes.

“Char.” he whispered in her ear and smirked as he saw her shiver. It was working.

“Get away from me.” she let out in a quick breath.

“Now why would I do such a thing?” he took her ear between his teeth and bit down softly.

Char let out a gasp. She couldn't move if she wanted to. It was like she was glued to that spot, her hands flat on the wall.

He moved closer, nuzzling his face in her neck and breathed in. She smelled good. Lavender. Lavender was good. It was never supposed to go this far but now that he started, he didn't want to stop. He nibbled on her neck, biting, locking, sucking.

Char was already on cloud nine and shivers of pleasure ran through her entire body, reaching her toes. She whimpered, gasped and bit down on her tougue, not wanting a moan of pleasure to escape her lips. No way.

He stopped for a second, lifting his head up. Char turned her head to face him, her eyes wide open. His mouth was dangerously close to her mouth. She licked her lips slowly and Daniel's eyes followed the movement. He gulped loudly, licking his own lips in the the process.

Snap out of it, stupid! You're doing this for a reason. Not to fulfill your sexual desires.

“You won't go back there now, will you?” he asked softly, his eyes still on her lips. He brought his eyes back to hers and took her silence as a no

Well, if that's how you want to play it.

He went back to nibbling on her neck. He stilled again as Char's arm came around his neck. He smiled to himself. This was really working. He sucked hard on her neck, groaning as a moan escaped her lips and filled his ears.

Ah! Sweet melody.

He worked his magic, satisfied when he was sure it would leave a  mark. He lifted his eyes up to hers again to find them closed.

“You still going back there?” he asked again, making her eyes snap open.

“N-no..” she whispered, her voice shaking.

Daniel smirked. Leaning into her again, he watched as Char's eyes closed. Her lips were parted and it took every inch of strength and self-control in him to not kiss her there. Instead he brought his mouth to her ear.

“Good.” he said before making for the door.

Immediately the words left his mouth, Char's eyes snapped open for the second time.

What just happened?

Ah, but she knew. And it hit her like a bucket of ice water. He'd manipulated her. She stood as he opened the door and strolled out of the room. How the hell had she fallen for that when she knew what would happen?

Ah!

She wanted to rip her hair out. Her eyelashes included.

“Agh! Fuck you!” she screamed at the top of her voice. If she screamed any louder, the people in Nigeria could've heard it.

She heard his laughter as he descended down the stairs. So freaking annoying.

“Language!” she heard her mother's voice somewhere in between all the noise.

“Uhg!” she yelled one more time before storming off into the bathroom.

Lord, where do you find them? and why do you keep sending them to me?
