I, Chole Bougerious, am furious.  Here, I am in the park, and he is a no-show!

   "Where is Jeff?"

     "It is the third time this week he is late for our date."

       I feel as if he does not care about me.

   " Today makes the third anniversary since we  met."

       "Hi, Chole!"

       I turn around in the hopes it is Jeff.

      I see Nathaniel Kurtzberg there instead.

       "Hi, Nathaniel!"  I try not to show my disappointment.

         I decide to talk to him until Jeff arrives.

          I gasp when  I hear a whimpering sound.

          It is coming from a tree nearby.

          "Whoa, it is a child!"

         I climb the tree.

      Nathaniel stands there. He has a look of surprise in his eyes as he watches me.

       I know we have been friends forever.

     It sure is good to have him around.

    I have not told anyone, but Jeff is not as great as he seems.
