Chapter 2 ~ My Envisions
Vinaya
As Mom ordered, I started picking up the newspapers when a beautifully colored paper caught my eye.
It was an Advertisement.
My curiousity got the better of me. I sat down to read, leaving the rest of the newspapers forgotten.. I find out It's About A newly Opened Library!!
"Ryan Books N Cafeteria"
Now open! The All New Library! 📚 With A Cup of Coffee! ☕
"It's opened in my neighborhood"???
What! Oh My God! A library! I have always wanted to go to one"!
Fresh Books 🍃, A personal space 👩💻 , A beautiful view from the Window 🖼, Raining🌧, Cloudy weather with Wind Blowing Softly 🌫, The smell of new books👃.... "
I was lost in my own imagination. I could already picture myself sitting by a window, rain tapping against the glass with a book in one hand and a warm cup in the other.
"Heaven. It feels like Heaven to me..
Giggle... Giggle! It's the one I have always dreamt of"...
But reality hit me quickly. "Wait, why am I getting this excited? Mom and Dad might not even allow me to go."
Still, the thought of visiting a library nearby made me yearn for a moment of peace and solitude—a break from the chaos of my daily life. I wanted this. No, I needed this.
That evening, after dinner, I mustered up the courage to ask my parents for permission. I rehearsed the words in my head, trying to sound as reasonable as possible.
To my surprise, they agreed almost immediately!
“Of course,” Dad said. “You’ve always talked about your love for reading. It’s good to see you doing something for yourself.”
Mom nodded in agreement. “Just make sure your studies don’t suffer.”
I couldn’t believe it. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” I promised to manage everything with my hobby not interfering with my upcoming tests.
One Week Later~
Finally! The day has arrived for which I had been waiting for the whole week..!
I am so excited.. I know that it sounds weird but It's my first time going to a library..
“Mom, Dad! I’m leaving now. Bye!” I called out before stepping out the door.
I reach there in about two or three minutes as it is very near to my place.
(And that's why my parents agreed in the first place)
Ding... Ding
(The doors opened)
The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere—it was perfect. Cozy chairs and book shelves filled with books of different size and color. But.... There are not much people in here. I think most people haven't got to know about this place yet.
Lost in my thoughts, I didn’t notice someone approaching until I suddenly flinched.
“Hey! Welcome to Ryan Books N Cafeteria,” a voice said warmly.
I looked up to see a young man, maybe in his twenties, dressed in a sleek black coat. He looked quite rich and good looking.
“I’m Ryan, the owner of this library.” He said.
“Oh, hello!” I stammered, trying not to sound too nervous. “I’m Vinaya. I live nearby and saw the advertisement. I love reading, so I decided to join.”
“That’s great! I hope you like it here,” he said with a smile. “Feel free to explore, and if you need help finding anything, let me know. Don’t forget to grab a cup of coffee!”
“Sure, thank you!” I said, feeling a little awkward. He seems like such a gentleman.
-------
I found a quiet corner by the window, picked out a book, and sat on the soft chair, and as I opened the book, the world around me seemed to disappear.
This place was everything I had imagined and more. It was only my first day, but I already knew I wanted to come here every single day.
