Madison's POV:

When I hear my last name, I look up from my homework which was turned to the back as I wrote some words that were going round in my head, surprisingly most of them rhymed making it look like a song which is not what I meant to do but it's cool, I guess. All I see when I look up is the entire class staring at me as well as the teacher and a girl I've never seen before, I guess she's cute, she looks like trouble though just judging by her posture and from studying body language for years, so I don't want to get dragged into this. I should give her the benefit of the doubt though and not judge a book by its cover.

While I was lost in my thoughts, I felt her sit next to me because she brushes my arm, so I look at her and smile softly holding out my hand kindly "I'm Madison" I say in my usual cheery voice, I expect a reply, but I don't receive one all I get is an eye roll and then silence. I look back at my puddle of words confused at why she was so rude but just shake my head and continue writing whatever popped into my head. The class begun and I continued to scribble down on my piece of paper.

I hear a name being called followed by silence, I look at the teacher thinking id receive and expectant look, instead his gaze was fixated on the girl next to me. My first reaction was to look at the board to try and work out what his question was. My search was interrupted when he speaks again "Miss Y/l/n, I asked you a question." I look back to her "umm could you repeat it?" she says, he just exhales a big breath as if he was fed up and she just sits there uncomfortably "what is newton's first law of mo-" he gets cut off as the I give him the answer he so desperately needed. "Newton's first law of motion states that an object will remain in the same state of motion unless a resultant force act on it." I say with a cocky smirk and he nods "well done Miss Beer" the girl proceeds to sit back in her chair looking grumpy and I look at her and whisper "you're welcome" she muffles a scoff and replies "I had that and you only just got it which I'm surprised cause you looked like you were in your own world of..." she pauses and looks at my piece of paper "Boyshit?" she laughs and glances back at me "probably the only thing we have in common, I don't speak it either" she says with a smirk after quoting on of the lines I wrote "hey that was private" I say annoyed, she shrugs "didn't look it" I don't reply I just look back to my paper until the class came to an end.

The lesson finally ended and the new girl, or should I call her Y/l/n gets straight up and goes to walk out the door when the teacher stops her and says, "the bell doesn't dismiss you I do." she smirks and turns around to face him "then you might want to get those bells checked... the timings a little off. Dickhead" she rolls her eyes and walks out of the classroom; my mouth is left open at her response. My gaze turns back to the teacher, he stands there confused at what just happened "class dismissed" he mumbles, everyone runs out of the class, I look around for the mysterious girl but she's nowhere to be seen. I then see a blonde girl hugging another girl "god I wish that was me" I mumble putting my bag strap on my shoulder and when I look back, I notice it was the girl I was searching for, so I run up to her.

Y/n's POV:

A tap on my shoulder is felt when I go to get in my car with Anna, I look back and see the hazel eyed girl from before "oh hey, Madison, right?" I ask not really remembering much from the class already as it was boring anyway "yeah, but I didn't get your name" I look her up and down "give me your phone" she tilts her head in confusion "umm why?" I look back at Anna who's waiting in the car and then to Madison "cause I'm going to give you my number why else would I ask for your phone?" she reaches into her bag and grabs out her phone turning it on and handing it to me "I mean you could be robbing me" she mumbles, I laugh slightly "yeah right" I reply as I type in my name and phone number "here" I give her the phone "Y/n?" I decided to play a little trick on her "who's that?" she looks up at me "you gave me the wrong n-" I cut her off and shake my head "no I was just teasing you" I roll my eyes as she laughs "oh thanks, see you after lunch Y/n" I nod and get in my car.

When I close the door to my car, I see Anna staring at me as I look at her confused, she starts teasing me immediately and says "you likeeeee herrrrr" I roll my eyes "no I don't she's just smart and the only person I know here" she laughs adding to what I said, "and she's hot" I start the engine ignoring her comment as she punches me in the arm "don't ignore me just because I'm right!" I chuckle as a response "she's not my type" I pull away from the school as Anna's mouth drops open "LIAR!!" she yells, I stomp on the breaks "fucking hell Anna chill out. Okay she's cute but I don't need to crash my car for her" she smirks as she got the answer she wanted "I fricking knew it" I roll my eyes yet again and just drive to get us lunch.

We get back to the car with our food and drinks, she looks at me "you're already a simp for her" I laugh as I sip my drink "why do you say that?" I question as she puts her drink in the holder "because its fucking obvious! you only ever tease people that you like. Hence the reason  I know you had a crush on me when we were like fifteen!" I look up at her blushing slightly as I didn't know she knew that "how did you-" she rolls her eyes "you didn't exactly try to hide it Y/n" I look down embarrassed "its fine" she adds "every girl at least has a little crush on their best friend" I look up at her "so does that mean?" she nods "I liked you back. I still do."
