Ron's POV

" Have you seen my room?? How will you change it if you don't know what you have to change? Come, I will take you to my room. " I said with a smile.

" Send the pictures of your room to Mom, there is no need for her to see your room. " Mihir said glaring at me as he joined us along with Roohi and Raj. Even Ruhan came back with the damn samosas.

But just then Roohi's phone rang and both Mihir and Roohi shared a look and excused themselves.

What was that look?? Something was definitely going on between Mihir and Roohi or he would not have gone, leaving me standing with Mahi. Who was calling them that made them exchange that look?

" That's not the way, to do the interiors of a room, I guess, I have to request Megha Aunty to do my room, since her new assistant doesn't seem to do her work properly. I want my room to be done by some professional. " I said as to instigate her.

" For your kind information, I am absolutely qualified to do my work. Mihir Bhai doesn't know it being a doctor, so he suggested that. I may think of doing your room too, if I feel like it. Because I am keener to do work with people who know the worth of my time and talents. Not useless playboys, who just know one thing... Chasing the sexy but brainless girls. "  She retorted.

" Ouch!!! What a comeback!! Love you, Mahi.  I already appreciate you and your talent, so after Raj bhai, do my room. " Ruhan laughed and said, Mahi, nodded with a smile and said, "Sure, Ruhan. " 

I was still shocked at her come back while Raj smiled.

I flashed my killer smile. The smile that has always made girls go crazy.

" So design my room and let me see your all talents. Do it to prove me wrong." I said looking at her.

" I am not sure if I would like to waste my time on you... I mean your room, but since I can't disrespect Aunty by declining her request, maybe later on, first I have to work on their room. " She said and smiled at Raj.

" Congratulations, Mahi!! I knew you are as talented as Aunty. You inherited all your mom's talent. Isn't it, Ron? "  Raj said with a smile, looking at me.

" Yes, her beauty, smartness, attitude, and temper too. " I said.

Mahi's face gained color and was about to retort but stopped as she saw that Mihir and Roohi were coming back to join us.

" What happened, Mahi? "  Mihir asked.

" Nothing, bhai. " She said trying to smile.

" You are looking uncomfortable, did he say anything to you? "  Mihir glared at me. Mahi shook her head.

" Oh, by the way, what were you two talking about so seriously?? I hope nothing serious is going on... " I counter-questioned Mihir.

" Nothing is going on, bhai. We were talking about our friends. Rest assured, he is just my friend. Do I ever ask you, what do you talk to Shaurya, Viren, or Sujal Bhai?? Why do you always behave like this with Mihir and Vihan? "  Roohi had to intervene as both were glaring at each other.

" Calm down, Roohi! Let's have something to eat. " Raj intervened and placed an arm around her to take her away with him.  But she asked Mihir to come too so that he is not alone with me.

Mihir glared at me and he caught Mahi's hand and went after them. I had no choice but to join them.

We all went to have some snacks served by Chachi, though the food was the last thing on my mind at the moment. I wanted to have some time alone with Mahi so that we could talk. I didn't want her to remain angry with me.

Myra was unusually quiet since Shahs' came. She just kept sitting there with us but she neither looked at anyone nor said anything.

" Since I will start with your room, can you please tell me what changes do you want in your room? " Mahi asked.

" I want more space for my stuff in the cupboard and a color scheme a bit neutral which could suit both of us. Rest is fine with me, whatever Raj chose is fine with me. "  Myra said with a polite smile.

Myra asked Raj as well and he asked for Mahi's suggestion. Myra just picked up her phone and started playing as if she was thinking of something else. Raj selected one and showed it to Myra she nodded and approved it.

Myra excused herself and went away, Raj went after her after finalizing the basic color scheme.

But just then Dad asked for Raj and Ruhan went to tell Raj that  Dad was calling him.

Since Mihir and Roohi were busy with those mysterious phone calls. I caught Mahi's hand and pulled her to our study as it was soundproof.  She was too shocked to react for a few seconds and we were out of the living room in the meanwhile.

" What do you think you are doing ?? "  She tried to pull her hand away but I was not holding it to leave it.

" Come with me or I will pick you up and carry you in my arms. " I said and she laughed.

" With my dad, my brother and even your parents in the house?"

" Don't dare me, love. I respect your parents as much as I respect mine and as far as your brothers are concerned, one of them is my best friend and the other one is busy on some phone call. As it is I am not scared of him, I just tolerate him because he is your and Manik's brother, and he is just doing his duty as a brother if he stops me from talking to you.  But we need to talk about something and I don't want any disturbance. " I said once we reached the study.

" It's always what you want... What about me? Have you ever considered what I wanted?  I don't want to talk about anything with you. "

" I know, but we need to talk and finish the matter once and for all. We need to close the matter and start afresh. I want to apologize for what happened..."

" I don't want anything from you neither an explanation nor any apology. The matter is already closed from my side and I don't want to start afresh with you at any cost. "

" Oh, the matter is closed as far as you are concerned?? Then why do you pass sarcastic remarks on me?  You are known to be a sweet girl, so why are you always so bitter with me? I know, I made a mistake but... I am sorry for that. You hit me as much as you want, say whatever you want to take out your anger or frustration once and for all,  please don't make such comments as it hurts me. "  He said.

" So, my comments hurt you??  Well, I am somewhat relieved to hear that, I have suffered the pain for years, why do you want me to take out all my frustration on you in one day? No, Mr. Ranveer Kapoor, you will have to bear with my sarcastic comments till I am alive. I will not forgive you. I hate you. "

"  What?? You suffered for years because of... Me? Mahi, please, don't you think, you are exaggerating a bit? I know, I made a mistake but it was not such a big deal that you could suffer for years."

" Of course!! It is not a big deal for you, but it was for me because I went through it and the pain it caused and the effects of it on my... " She was saying when the door opened and Mihir and Roohi came in.

" Mahi? Ron? What are you doing here with her?? "  He asked me coming to hold the collar of my shirt.

" We were merely talking about a few things but you tell me why are you here with Roohi? And exactly what is going on? Who is calling you again and again? Why do you both go aside to take the call? "  I counter questioned him.

" I am not bound to answer your baseless doubts. " Mihir said.

" Then don't expect any answers from me as well. " I said.

" Mahi, come with me, we are going home. " He placed an arm around her and she said, " Yes. Let's go. "
