It was a dark and stormy night...actually no it wasn't. I've just always wanted to write that XD

I sat on the couch flipping through the channels of out TV. I finally stopped when I saw they were playing a marathon of Big Bang Theory.

After I watched that it was about 2:00 a.m.

You might be wondering 'Abby...where are your parents?' Well to answer that, I am 17 and a big girl now. So they went out for a week on their wedding anniversary. And left me here by myself because, as I said, I am a big girl now. So...nothing to do....

I decided to go stargaze. I had always been interested with astronomy since I was little. I was going to study it in college and become an astronomer. But I've always wanted to get closer to the stars...

I lie down on my big trampoline in my backyard. I live out in the country so I have a lot if room to do whatever I please. I sometimes help Dad in the fields...but on rare occasions. No one really lives around me. I have fields to each side of me and I can't see the nearest house. So I'm pretty lonely.

I was laying on my back looking at the stars on a warm summer night in my fuzzy pink panda pajama pants and a light blue Grumpy Cat© (don't own Grumpy Cat©. That's why I put the © mark...duh X3) shirt on that said 'I had fun once...It was awful' (I literally have that shirt! XD) My shoulder blade length blonde hair sprawled out in different ways on the trampoline.

"What a gorgeous night..." I whispered, staring at the stars.

Then I saw a blueish shooting star. I made a wish. You could say it was a bit childish, but I am childish.

"I wish to be closer to the stars." I wished.

Little did I know...that wish would turn my life upside down.
