Y/N sighs, thinking back about her husband's sudden enthusiasm to have a child. She does her usual patrol, looking at the children holding their parent's hands.

Maybe having a kid isn't that bad... it'll be pretty cute.

Her stomach felt like it was going round in circles as if she was on a rollercoaster that continuously repeated.

No, wait... It can't be...

She went to the chief, informing him that she was going to visit Shinobu for a health checkup since she hasn't been feeling good. The chief allowed her as the village seemed pretty safe for now. Y/N kissed Haganezuka goodbye, the worried husband not wanting her to leave but she knocked him out to let her go. When she arrived, Shinobu greeted her with a warm hug.

"How are you? What's with the sudden checkup?"

"W-Well... I've been feeling quite sick for a while..."

The worried expression of Shinobu turned to curiosity to the excitement. She grabbed her hand, making her lie down on a bed as she did some examination.

"Y-Y/N, I'd like to-"

"AM I GOING TO DIE?!"

"Let me complete my sentence! You're not going to die."

"O-Oh..."

"Well, you're pregnant! For about 5 weeks!"

"W-what?! R-really?! No wonder I got fatter!"

"Congratulations! Right now, I can't really tell you the gender of the baby. Come back in around 2 months and I'll be able to check the gender."

"Thank you, Shinobu!"

As she made her way back to the village, Ubuyashiki and the pillar knew almost immediately about her pregnancy, even before the father could know. She opened her house door, immediately being greeted by a tight hug. 

"Your back! You didn't need to knock me out!"

"I mean, you've become quite a clingy husband."

"But you luv me~"

"Yeah, yeah. Don't squeeze me too hard."

"Why?"

"Unless you want to squeeze the child out of me."

"...Wait, what? YOU'RE PREGNANT?!"

He released his grasps, wide eyes as his hands held her shoulders. She smiled, rubbing her belly as she nodded shyly. He screamed in joy, running out to the streets. Before he could run around the village and be a madman, she grabbed him and threw him back into the house.

"Wow, Woah! I'm excited! Ahh! I'm going to be a father! So, what' the gender?!"

"I don't know yet but I'll visit Shinobu in about 2 months."

"YAYYYY!"

The entire night, he was enthusiastic, treating her like a princess and even cuddling up to her stomach and talking to the child.

"Hotaru, you need to calm the heck down. Didn't you want me to get pregnant?"

"But... it's like awaiting to open a present that can't be opened yet! Ohhh~ I wonder how this child is going to look like..."

Y/N just sighed with a smile, seeing as to how her husband was drawing circles on her stomach and falling asleep. News went about and the village was elated, Haganezuka acting like a protective husband. One small activity of even lifting a box, he'd rush in and help. Uzui was assigned to help Y/N when his mission is over, around the time the gender of the baby is revealed. 2 months went by pretty fast. Haganezuka accompanied her to the butterfly estate, nervously waiting for the result. Shinobu handed them an envelope, after doing an ultrasound on her. The couple slowly opened the envelope, a word spelling out the child's gender.

"Hotaru, quiet down. There are sick people here."

Y/N did not expect him to be that excited but that's the result of wanting to get her pregnant. Shinobu went through a list of things to do and not to do during pregnancy, Haganezuka taking note of everything. He couldn't wait to share the news to the village but when they arrived, everyone knew about Y/N's pregnancy because Uzui had arrived and announced why he was there. 

Such a way to ruin a surprise
