Chapter 6

Aphmau, Garroth, and I were walking around the woods when we stopped from Aphmau's panting. "Feeling okay?" Garroth asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay," she nodded. I was slowly becoming more, and more convinced that she's pregnant, but I kept my mouth shut.

"And you (Y/N)?" I looked up, and saw Garroth staring at me.

"Huh? Oh... uh, yeah, all good back here." I gave him a thumbs up.

"How much further is this place?" Aphmau asked.

"Not that far," Garroth replied.

"I thought you went to explore the ruins. Did you not find anything?" I asked.

"Not really. We saw Emmalyn and Kenmur. But they didn't really have any information." He frowned.

"Did you tell them about your relic?" Aphmau asked.

"Are you crazy!? No. Of course not! If I told them they would have started to poke, and prod me in an instant. The last thing I want is to get them riled up about new discoveries. Especially when I am one of those new discoveries."

"Who's Emmalyn and Kenmur?" I spoke up.

"They're our scholars that are currently in the ruins."

"Scholars?" I smiled a bit. "Would you mind if I went to check on them?"

"I guess not. The ruins are in that direction." Aphmau pointed me north east.

"Okay. I'll catch up with you guys later!" I waved running in that direction. I eventually made it to the ruins, and looked around. I assumed they would be in the largest building. I headed there, and on my way in the floor under me collapsed, and I fell into the hole that had opened up.

I landed with a grunt, and turned over to lay on my back. I stared up at the ceiling, and saw a head pop into my view. A head of blonde hair. "Who are you!?"

"(Y/N)." I groaned. "I'm Laurance's sister. The daughter of Lady Lezina."

"You're just like your brother!" She laughed. I groaned, again, and managed to sit up. "Are you okay?"

"Aside from the fact that I'm stuck in a hole with no way out aside from up... good," I replied. I stood up, and climbed up the side and sat on the edge. "Are you Emmalyn?" I asked.

"Uh... yes," she nodded. "Wait, did you say you were the daughter of Lady Lezina?" She asked.

"Yes, but if you don't prod me then I can be of more use."

"No prodding!" She smiled. "But I need proof!"

"O-Okay. Lady Lezina had powers to heal, right?"

"Yes." She nodded. I grabbed my wrist and twisted it until I heard my bone crack. I gritted my teeth to hold back my growl. Emmalyn's eyes widen. I immediately felt my arm start to mend. When it was finished she scampered toward me, and examined my wrist. "That was... so incredible to see! Not the most pleasant, but to be on the same island of a direct descendant of Lady Lezina!" She smiled.

"I... need some help if you could possibly?"

"Maybe! What is it?"

"Well, I seem to be, telling the future, I mean it's only happened twice, but... I always feel like I'm dying afterwards, so I don't really know how it works, like if I can control it or not."

"Oh... unfortunately from my knowledge I don't think you can control it. I was more of a Irene scholar, but... I could look into it if you'd like?"

"If you ever have time would you?"

"Of course!" She nodded. I smiled.

"Thank you..." I felt a urge to get back to the village so I stood up. "I have to go." I said before running off.

The trees were whizzing beside me, and it felt like forever until I came to a clearing. I checked the sky which was far past seeing. I climbed into a tree, and nestled myself into a branch and quietly waited for day.

When I woke up there was a strange rustling in the bushes on the other side of the clearing. I fell down from the tree and drew my sword. I was ready for whatever was thrown at me. Then Garroth tumbled out of the bush.

I ran over to him, and helped him to his feet. "Garroth, what are you doing here?"

"..."

"Garroth did you hit your head or-" he quickly grabbed my throat, and pushed me against a tree and tightened his grasp around my neck. My eyes widened as my sword slipped from my fingers. I grabbed his wrist with both of my hand, and quickly snapped his wrist.

He pulled back, squealing in pain as I sucked in deep breaths of air. I watched as he turned into his true form, an Imp. "STUPID CREATURE!" I screamed, and threw my sword at him.

It went straight through his head, and I stood up, shakily, and walked over to my sword and picked it up, and whipped the blood onto my pants. I was about to continue to the village when a heavy blow was laid on my head, causing darkness to overcome me.

Vylad's P.O.V.

I ran into the clearing where Fallen stood over an unconscious (Y/N). "Fallen!" I snapped.

"What?" She shook her head.

"Why'd you do that?"

"We don't know her-"

"You've been gone too long! That's Garroth's girlfriend."

"Oh... whoops," she scratched the back of her neck. She picked up (Y/N), and threw her over her shoulder, and we started to walk back to the village. "So, Tu'la..."

"How was it?"

"Very destructive. Not enough peace if you ask me. Everyone seemed to be trying to kill everyone they saw." She explained. I shuddered a little. "How have things here been? I noticed Aaron's been gone."

"He's dead," I replied.

"Oh... sorry I asked." She always seemed so shy, and unaware of her thoughts.

"It's fine. You shouldn't be worried about saying it around me, just be careful about Aphmau."

"Understood." She nodded. Sometimes she doesn't even seem like a Shadow Knight. Sometimes she just seems normal.
