A New Home

As Tae Moo blabbers about work and is going through paperwork on his desk, he stops when he notices a profile of Jin Yeona, recognizing her as the woman that Sung Hoon was making googly eyes at. He smirks as ideas begin roaming in his head.

"The profile of this woman. Are you suggesting that I make her the ambassador of the company?" Tae Moo asks as puts the profile face down on his desk so that Sung Hoon won't see it.

"Yes, yes! Now will you stop talking about work?!" Da Goo yells at his grandson. "What's the big idea? You always said blind dates were a waste of time. And now you want to get married after one blind date?"

"I'm giving you the granddaughter-in-law you want so badly." Tae Moo explains.

"Really? Does Young Seo want to marry you as well?" Da Goo asks, a hint of excitement in his voice.

Tae Moo leans forward. "What do you think?"

Da Goo also leans forward. "About what?"

"With my face, body, impeccable manners, and flawless personality, why would she say no?" Tae Moo further explains as he makes gestures to parts to his body.

"...You're right! No one would say no to my handsome grandson! That's my boy!" Da Goo agrees with the biggest grin on his face.

"And Sung Hoon might have more good news for you very soon..." Tae Moo sends a smirk Sung Hoon's way.

Sung Hoon's eyes widened as Da Goo turns to him with a curious look on his face.

"Really? What is it?" Da Goo asks.

"Ah, grandfather. I think we should save it as a surprise." Tae Moo picks and the profile and hands it to Sung Hoon. "Right now, he needs to get work done."

Sung Hoon looks at who's profile it is, his jaw nearly drops. He looks back up at a smirking Tae Moo who mouths, "Text her."

"You're still having Riri go in your place on your dates and get rid of them? I thought you stopped doing that." Yeona looks at her older sister with a stern expression.

"She told you?!"

"To be fair, I was there last night. Their meeting place just happened to be where I was having my interview. You need to stop involving Hari in your shenanigans. She nearly got caught up in a cheating scandal." Yeona scolds Young Seo making her pout.

"I... I had no choice! Abeoji won't stop interfering with my love life! You know that I want to be with someone I love and not go through with an arranged marriage!" Young Seo whines.

"I know, unnie. I know. But you need to reject these guys yourself and in a more reasonable way. Now I need to get going." Yeona says, getting up from her seat.

"Where are you going?"

"I have a meeting that guy we met yesterday." Yeona informs her before heading upstairs.

"...What?!" Young Seo shouts, chasing after her. "Beanie! Are you finally getting yourself a man?!"

Yeona walks into Rome Coffee Shop and immediately spots Sung Hoon. Once he notices her, he blushes from the sweet smile that she gives him.

"Thank you for the invite. I've been hoping to repay you." She says, taking her seat.

"It's no problem..." He then looks around to make sure that no one is looking at them. "Are you sure it's okay for you to be out in the open like this? I didn't expect to find out that you are a famous actress."

"Did it surprise you?" She giggles and taps her sunglasses. "That's what these are for until my interview comes out. I mentioned that I don't mind interacting with my fans about my work or giving them my autograph. But of course, there are days I like to have to myself so I hope they can be understanding of that and allow me to approach them instead if I'm up to it. Consider yourself lucky that you get me all to yourself." Her comment makes him chuckle. "Why don't you go ahead and order something? It's on me."

After receiving their coffees, she recalls what Hari revealed about her date.

"Kang Tae Moo... He's the ceo of Go Food, correct?" She receives a nod. "And do you work with him?"

"I'm the chief secretary of Go Food. Cha Sung Hoon." He says, hoping that his name sounds familiar to her.

"I see... Could you pass along a message to your boss for me? Please don't be too hard on Jin Young Seo that he knows. Try to understand her side of things."

"What do you mean?" He asks with a confused expression.

"It not my place to say but he should prepare himself. He seems like a good guy, so I thought he deserved some type of heads-up. Since we'll continue crossing paths, you'll understand when you'll see my unnie for yourself."

Even though he doesn't understand what she means, decides to go along with it after hearing the sincerity behind her words. He gives her a small smile and nods.

"Do you have any plans now that you're back in Korea?"

"I'm taking a break at the moment to spend time with my family and friends. Maybe after I'll do commercials and photoshoots."

"Well, I'll give you a heads-up that our company might give you an offer soon." He informs her.

"Well thanks for letting me know, Mr. Cha." She says and giggles.

"Please call me Sung Hoon."

"Okay but you have to call me Yeona."

Her smile becomes wider when one of Lim Soo-ho's songs begin playing. She hums to the song as she looks outside scenery.

"You like Lim Soo-ho's music?"

"Yes. He has always been my favorite singer... I've always liked coming to this place. Just sitting here, having a cup of coffee, sometimes eating chocolate chip cookies and listening to his music. It's soothing and always keeps me feeling happy... But this place has always been special for his wife and him. It's where they had their first date. At times he will come here to perform for everyone, and she would never miss any of his performances. I remember the first time that I stopped by here as a child and I was lucky because at that time I got to see his live performance and Nam Hana was sitting in their usual booth... I was too shy to approach them back then, but it was enough for me back then. But later that day, my unnie surprised me with autographs of a Winter Heart poster and a Love Never Dies album. She went to go speak with them in my place. So that day I vowed to myself that I would become an actress and get to work with them someday. To thank the very people who helped me through the tough times." She tells him with a thoughtful expression until she starts blushing. "Oh my! I'm sorry! I'm boring you, aren't I?! I didn't mean to start... Why are you laughing?"

"...Because it's nice seeing someone else who appreciates Lim Soo-ho's music like I do." He replies making her blink. "Just like you, I also went through a lot as a child. Then one day my mother turned on the radio and a song of his was playing. His music gave me hope for something."

"...Sung Hoon." She speaks making him look at her. "Want to start our own Lim Soo-ho fan club? We can be co-presidents."

He laughs and she joins in on. Their moment is eventually interrupted by her phone.

"I'm sorry. This should just take a moment." She gives him an apologetic smile and answers her phone. "Hello? Yes... Really?! Thank you so much! I'll see you soon!" She hangs up "Thak you again for inviting me. I need to get going now. Please don't overwork yourself. And don't hesitate to contact me again, okay? I feel this is the start of a beautiful friendship! Oh... Only if you want that as well!"

He slowly gives her a big smile and puts his hand out towards her.

"I would like that very much. I look forward to getting know each other more, Yeona." He says making her squeal and accept his hand.

After watching her leave with a smile, his phone rings and he sees that it's a text from Tae Moo.

I see that you've made progress😉

Sung Hoon looks confused and looks outside to end up seeing Tae Moo's car nearby. His jaw drops when seeing Tae Moo waving at him then giving him a thumbs up.

After spending almost the whole day getting her new apartment ready, Yeona is now relaxing on her couch while eating fried chicken and watching one of Hana's shows. Her phone rings and she answers it.

"Hello? Umm, yes..." Her eyes widened and jumps up from her seat. "What?!"

She grabs her coat and shoes, quickly putting them and turning off the tv.

"I'll be back for the rest of you! I promise!" She says to the plate of fried chicken.

Just as she is about to leave, she stops to grab another piece of chicken. She then hurries out of her apartment and goes to the elevator but as it's taking too long to come up, she decides to take the stairs. And the one to step out of the elevator once it comes up is Sung Hoon. Both of them having just missed each other.

"Huh... I guessed someone finally moved in." He murmurs, looking at the apartment next to his.

"Unnie, please stand properly before you fall over!" Yeona pleads, dragging her drunk sister into the Shin's family restaurant.

"Why are we here?!" A drunk Young Seo shouts, glancing at her surroundings. "I wanted you to introduce me to that man you're destined to be with!" She turns to the youngest and squishes her cheeks. "Did you make any progress with him? I won't forgive you if you didn't!"

A drunk Hari smacks the back of Young Seo's head making her let go of Yeona and fall to the floor.

"That hurt! What was that for?!"

"Young Seo, leave Beanie alone... It's her love life... Jeez. Why are you so desperate to get a brother-in-law?!" Hari mutters, barely able to stand properly.

"Yah! You haven't been hearing what I've been trying to tell you all night. I saw everything that day! The flowers blooming around them. The confetti falling from the sky... Is it so wrong that I want the best for my baby sister?!" Young Seo says, beginning to cry.

"You've been going on and on about that nonsense for hours now." Hari retorts moves over Yeona to open her mouth wide open. "I'll rip your whole mouth off!"

Yeona shouts in pain and Ha-min quickly pulls them apart.

"Sis, have you lost your mind?! This is Yeona!" He snaps at his sister as he rubs Yeona's arms.

"Huh? You... You're Yeona?! What happened? Why's your mouth ripped?" Hari questions and becomes a sobbing mess. "Eomma, get the needle! She can't go onto the big screen like this!"

"Not my baby sister! Not her!" Young Seo cries, crawling over to them.

Yeona is soon squished into a hug by both drunks. Hari mumbles out apologies while Young Seo demands a doctor.

"...You two are never drinking again." Yeona mutters.

"You two get off of her and go upstairs...RIGHT NOW!" Mi-ho demands as she and the others try to pry them off of Yeona.

The next day, Yeona stays inside her apartment with her fried chicken and chocolate chip cookies sent as apologies from her sister and Hari.

"Don't worry. You have me all to yourself for the whole day!" Yeona caresses her box of cookies while eyeing the chicken. "Now she we watch a Nam Hana drama or movie?"

That night, Young Seo gets out of her car to snap at the owner of the other car who bumped into hers. But what stops her is when she sees its Sung Hoon.

"Oh, it's you! The convenience store guy!"

"Oh hello." He gives her a quick bow. "How did you remember?"

"It'd be hard to forget my future brother-in-law." She thinks to herself with a smirk. "I'm good at remembering people's faces. Anyway, I'm in a bit of a hurry right now. Call me." She says and gives him her business card.

"Team Leader Jin Young Seo from Marine Group...?" He frowns as he reads the card then recalls Yeona's words yesterday.

"So this is what your sister meant by preparing myself. You're the real Jin Young Seo." Tae Moo speaks up, walking up to them.

Episode one technically got wrapped up in this chapter and now we're in episode two!

Rone Coffee Shop has made its return. I honestly wasn't sure if I should add that place into this series. But since I added Soona content in here, I couldn't help myself! How did you all feel about it? We got more Love Never Dies references!

How are you feeling about Cheona so far? I kinda like how I made Soona play a big part in their lives.

And look at our co-captains!😂
