I sighed and took Lily into her room then placed her in her bed.
"Go to sleep." I commanded. As I headed to the door, the sound of her voice stopped me.
"Where's Emma?" She asked. I rolled my eye, my damaged one was wrapped up in bandages.
"I'll go get her." I mumbled then opened the door and headed out of her room. I went to the basement and opened the door to be greeted by Emma herself.
"Why'd you call the cops?" She asked. I picked her up.
"Because if I didn't, they'd know it was you or they'd arrest me. You're lucky I don't throw you out the window..." I grumbled. I carried her upstairs.
"So what happened to your eye?"
"I don't wanna talk about."
"C'mon tell me!" She begged. I narrowed my eyes.
"I said no."
Just then, I could hear the sound of a blade cutting the air. The next thing I knew, I could feel the cold metal of a knife being held against my neck.
"Tell me now." She growled. I simply chuckled.
"You think that scares me, pipsqueak?" I asked, pushing the knife away.
"No way am I gonna let one of his kids boss me around." I remarked once I was up the stairs and heading towards Lily's room.
"So...when are we getting this 'plan' done and over with? I just wanna get the hell out of here." I whispered.
"Soon." Emma replied.
"Why can't we just slit his throat open?" I asked.
"It doesn't work like that." Emma replied once again.
I sighed then opened the door to Lily's room then placed Emma next to the child.
"Now go to sleep."
I walked out of the room. I looked down to see my canine companion staring up at me.
I smiled slightly then rubbed her head.
"Hang in there, Ruby...we'll get out of here soon...
I won't let Chucky kill you..."
