Sky and Deadlox stood side-by-side, staring bleakly at the prison before them. It was an ugly building, made from cracked smooth stone and mossy cobblestone. Everything about it reeked with pain and misery; a dark shadow amidst the colourful metropolis of Minecraftia. Sky turned to Deadlox. "Ok, so you know the plan, right?" Ty nodded shakily. "What about Plan B?" Sky grimaced. "Let's just hope Ian can do this without his help." Ty looked up at Sky nervously. "A-and if he can't?..." Sky pursed his lips. "Well...Plan B then." Deadlox frowned. "Plan B means we're screwed." Sky shook his head. "No, Plan B mean that Plan A hasn't worked!" Ty stared at him; Sky relented. "So, yeah, if Plan A fails, we are screwed." Ty shifted his sword in his scabbard and squared his shoulders. "Let's make sure that Plan A works then!" And with that the two friends began to scale the prison wall; venturing into the dangerous unknown...
Meanwhile...

SSundee's POV
I sat up and stared at the girl curled up on the metal bedspread; her wolf tail twitching in her sleep. I stood up noiselessly and padded over to the cell bars. It was today. I could feel it. FireSpark had told me that everyday they would throw in the newspaper to keep us posted on the 'outside world.' If they didn't deliver it, it was because there was no point you knowing anymore. In short, today was the day of our executions. I turned as FireSpark's wolf ears swivelled round in my direction and she opened one eyelid a crack. "Wazzgoinon?" I grimaced. "It's today." In an instant she was awake. She sat bolt upright and stared at me fearfully. "A-are you sure they haven't delivered the newspaper?! They might be late! They've been late before-" I shushed her. "I'm sure." FireSpark's eyes filled with tears as I sat down next to her on the bed. She rested her head on my shoulder and sobbed. "I-I don't want t-to die..." After a moments hesitation, I wrapped my arms around her and let her nuzzle into my chest for comfort. "I won't let us die. I promise." She looked up at me, anxiety and panic clearly etched into her tearstained features. "B-but, that's suicide!" I stared back at her sadly. Her eyes widened as she realised what I was planning. "Y-your not going to-" "I don't have a choice. It's the only way." She stared at the ground for a minute, then her amber eyes hardened in determination. "Well, I'm not going down without a fight either." "I'm hoping there won't be a fight." She stared at me, incredulous. "You're not going to try and reason with those monsters are you?!" I smiled wryly. "Aren't I supposed to be the monster?" "No-", she said firmly "-he's the monster, not you SSundee." My heart ached as I realised that Sky had said exactly the same thing to me as he lay in a pool of his own blood. I shook my head frantically, hoping the movement would banish the disturbing memory.
FireSpark looked at me in a mixture of panic and concern. "Is he-" "No." She nodded and both of us fell silent, each left to ponder on eachothers' thoughts alone. I was nervous to say the least about what I was planning to do. If negotiation didn't work, I'd have to trust the guards to clear out a 10 mile radius before the other guy made a bloody mess of everything. I glanced sideways at FireSpark. She was studying her claws in feigned interest. It was clear she was trying to steal glances at me. I caught her doing it and she blushed fiercly. Suddenly a bizarre thought struck me. ~What if she likes me?!~ I sighed. She wouldn't like me...I'm a monster after all. "What?" I stared at her, wide-eyed. "D-did I say that out-loud?!" She pursed her lips and gave me a weird look. I tried to pass off my obvious embarrassment with a casual grin. She rolled her eyes and smiled back at me. I felt something stir inside of me...and it wasn't Derp. I blinked in confusion and she averted her eyes, staring at the floor. I was suddenly seized with an impulse to do something drastic. If I really was to die today, I might as well make the most of the precious few hours I had left. I took her hand and she looked up at me, a light blush creeping across her tearstained cheeks. I swallowed my fear and forced myself to move closer. To my surprise she gave me a wry smile and leant in too. Our lips were a hair's breadth away when a harsh clang of metal against metal reverberated around our tiny cell. We leapt back away from each other and the moment shattered abruptly. My head whipped round and I glared at the guard standing by the door. He smirked and twirled the keys round in his fingers, taunting me. "Ready or not?..." FireSpark hung her head as the door swung open on rusty hinges. The guard sauntered in, narrowing his eyes in barely concealed glee as he snapped two pairs of handcuffs on our hands and began to drag us out of the cell. We shuffled through iron corridors and past cobblestone cells filled with the cries of the damned. FireSpark trembled in fear as I brushed my shoulder against her in a weak gesture of comfort. "It's gonna be ok..." She blinked gratefully at me as we neared the exit. We squinted and shielded our eyes as the bright sunshine blinded us. The jeers and shouts of the spectators deafened me as I stepped out into the execution arena. Above us, the view of the crystal blue sky was marred by the metal mesh stretched tight across it; any hope of escaping via the air evaporated instantly. I glanced fearfully at FireSpark. Her pupils had dilated in fear and her fists were clenched, perhaps as an act of defiance, or as a way to keep her screams of anger in. My eyes widened. Why was I thinking these things?!
I shut my eyes as we halted in the centre of the dusty arena. I felt the cuffs tighten round my hands and chuckled darkly. Like those would do any damage to the other guy. (Hey, this sounds like an Incredible Hulk FanFic! *facepalm* Shut up Squeaker! GODDAMIT NOW I'M TALKING TO MYSELF! *cough* Anyway, don't mind me! Read on! XD) I took a deep breath, trying to ignore the dust creeping into my lungs. My eyes snapped open and I stared down at the floor. My stomach clenched as I noticed a dark brown bloodstain a few chunks away from where I stood. My eyes trailed upwards and I fixated my gaze briefly on some sort of beheading device. I snapped my sight back round to the guard standing beside me. Amongst the confusion of the spectators jeering and screeches of bloodlust, I lashed out with my foot, kicking him in the stomach. He doubled over, winded, as I twisted myself free of his careless grip and ran to the podium in the middle of the arena. "Everyone shut up and listen to me!" They shut up. A hundred pairs of eyes fixed their gaze on me. My skin prickled uncomfortably under their cold stares. Nervously, I cleared my throat and began my speech. "You don't have to do this. What you don't realise is that none of these murders were committed by us. We all have our good sides and bad sides, but for me and FireSpark here...that's taken to an entirely different level. For those of you who don't know this, FireSpark is a werewolf. Every full moon she transforms into an uncontrollable, mindless beast that goes on a killing rampage-" I paused. "-and I can't say I'm much better. There's a part of me none of you knew about. He goes by the initials, D.S.S. Or, more commonly known as-" I readied myself for the objections soon to follow, "Derp SSundee..." Instantly the arena was in uproar. My eyes widened as a man who looked very familiar stood up in his seat, waving his arms about for silence. He cleared his throat and pushed his red horn-rimmed glasses further up his nose. I narrowed my eyes. God, he seemed so familiar. My heart stopped as I figured it out at last. He was Brotato's father...
FireSpark's POV (Yay! POV change! Looks like things are about to get interesting...)
My fists clenched as I watched the man stand up. He cleared his throat and smiled coldly down at SSundee. "Why should we let you live? You killed my son; and the cold irony is that Skydoesminecraft himself, stated that my Tyler would be safer in TeamCrafted than anywhere else. Well-" He spread his arms wide. "-look where that got him." My heart ached for SSundee, it was obvious that this recent wound was still raw, and this arrogant man was picking at it like a persistent scab. "Hey, shut up! What right do you have to hurt us anyway?! We're just humans, same as you guys! So don't treat us like we're animals!" I yelled back at him. My gaze flickered back to SSundee. Why wasn't he doing anything?! I padded over to him and gently brushed my arm against his. "SSundee?" I whispered softly. "A-are you ok?" I was answered by a grunt of pain as he squeezed his eyes tight shut and shook his head fiercely from side-to-side. My eyes widened as he whimpered in fear; it was happening again. My eyes hunted out anyone in the stands who would help us. They rested on a pair of very familiar faces. SkyDoesMinecraft...and...Deadlox?! I recognised them both from various important events and congregations throughout Minecraftia. Sky glanced at Deadlox meaningfully, mouthing something at him. 'Plan B!' They both began to make their way down to us. I realised there wasn't enough time; by the time they reached us, SSundee would've shifted and we'd all be dead. I turned to SSundee, eyes wide in fear and apprehension. He was clutching his head in pain, the chains on his wrists rattling. The spectators had figured out what was going on by now and were all running to the exits, pooling at the doors as the guards struggled to maintain order.
What had started out as a 'peaceful' negotiation on SSundee's behalf, was now rapidly disintegrating into a fierce bid for survival. His strangled scream cut through my thoughts and I whipped round. His eyes were wide open, revealing them to be half-crooked, half-straight. He was on the thin line between sanity and madness. There was still time. I seized his shoulders, forcing him to look me in the eyes. "SSundee, listen to me! There's still time! Don't let him get the better of you! You've gotta fight it!" He was trying, he really was. But Derp had grown strong enough to defeat him. Another yell of pain and his eyes shut again. I could almost imagine the desperate internal battle taking place in his mind. "Please SSundee...-" My voice was fraught with despair and fear. "Fight him! If you shift now, we'll all die!" My stomach clenched in horror as his eyes snapped open again...but this time, they were crooked. Those demented eyes glared back at me, full of anger and ferocity. In one swift moment Derp had snapped the chains on his wrists and thrown me to the floor. He flashed me a psychotic grin before disappearing into the vicious stampede throughout the arena. I sat up and stared at the broken chains lying on the dusty floor. Sky and Deadlox had reached me by now and were also staring, dumbfounded at the discarded metal on the ground. I looked up at them. "It's too late now, Derp's loose..." Deadlox met my gaze and a fierce fire of determination blazed in his brown eyes. "It's never to late to do the right thing..."
