Move!
No one P.O.V
...
Amber and Ken hid themselves well, only moving when guards were out of ear shot.
Each step was like stomping on a drum. Twigs snapped and leaves crunched under the weight of their feet.
slowly but surely they made their way to the wall.
The wall went all the way around the place, no gap, no nothing, and one gates.
The gate was pulled open by a crank, that only two people could open. One handle on one side, and one on the other side.
So it looks like they aren't going through that way.
this was either a fight or sneak their way out...and there were too many for them to fight against.
And they couldn't climb over either. The wall was just one long, flat price of concrete. No grooves, nothing to help them climb up.
The trees weren't even close to the wall. Any branches that looked like they were going to get close, had been cut clean off with a smooth cut.
A plan began to form in Ambers's head, as she moved swiftly to one of the trees. The lower branches were removed, but there were still small remainders of where they once were.
It was just like she would do when she was younger. One foot after another climbing to the top of the tree, or as high as she could get.
"Where are you doing?!?" Ken whisper shouted to the brunette climbing the tree, watching her go up without knowing what she's going.
She, in her camouflage, looked back down to the blonde at the base of the tree, silencing him by placing her finger to her lips.
Amber raised her hand, and focused on the outside.
Illusions had to do with colours right? So maybe she could use that to her advantage.
Amber began focus her energy and shapes began to move beyond the wall. At first glance, you wouldn't have been able to tell, but as she focused more. The image of a girl could be seen.
She looks like she smirked over her shoulder and to the guards on the top of the wall, she appeared to run.
"She's out!" One of them screamed, "open the gates! Hurry!" Two men ran to the gates to open them.
Amber slid down the tree, getting burns on her hands as she used the tree like a fireman's pole.
Kenn was waiting for her at the bottom of the tree, placing a hand on her back to steady her as she came down.
The handle made so many clunking sounds as it was wrenched open by the two guards.
The two didn't need to talk to one another to know that it was time to run.
They sprinted as if their lives depended on it. In this case it did. It just made them move faster towards their freedom.
And then they were out. They passed the gates and Amber continued to run, before the was pulled back by the collar of her shirt, almost choking her in the process.
She would have run straight into the field of Bullets if Kenn hadn't of pulled her back.
Amber had broke concentration, and the girl she imagined created had vanished before everyone's eyes.
"It was a trick!"
Kenn held onto her tightly. One arm around Ambers waist, and the other over her mouth. This was her first taste of freedom, so she stopped thinking properly.
