April P.O.V

Angela, Malina, Farrah and I quickly and easily made it through to the airport. The three of the them walked me into the airport, thinking it would be better to stay with a bigger group. That way, she could protect Malina and make sure that I got onto the plane without dramas.

I was worried about going through customs though. Ever since the June 13th attack, they tightened up the place to prevent any Evo's leaving the country. But that was months ago.

So many were actually caught those next few days and were taken into custody at Renatus...they weren't seen again.

They took me as far as customs, just to make sure they weren't caught. I don't blame them though.  We are a group of four Evo's walking around the airport that has tight security.

I hug Malina goodbye, "I'll see you later. Hopefully soon!" I say to her holding onto her hands after the hug.

"I can't wait for it. Good luck to you and Elle. I hope you find who you're looking for." She says with a smile.

I look to Angela who has a reassuring smile on her face. "I'm sure we well. And good luck with finding Nathan. You two will do great things together."

And with that, I left them, quickly walking away, waving back, just in case anyone was feeling suspicious about us. Malina and I could look like sisters to just onlookers, so that's what I'm going for.

I continuously look behind me, smiling at my pretend family as I casually arrive at customs.

The queue, as per usual was rather long. Now, I may have a slight fear of heights but that doesn't mean that I've never been on a plane before.

However, the difference now was that I don't have my mother or my brother here with me. They would hold my hand throughout the whole time and never let me go.

I don't know why, but it was like if they were to let go, then I would just fall through the plane and towards the ground.

I feel sorry for the person who has to sit next to me, I may grab their arm so hard that it falls off.

In front of me, there is an Asian looking woman. Maybe her late forties or so, with tan pants and a pink and green floral shirt on. She looks sweet, and she hands me a plastic tub to put my things in. "Here you go." She smiles as I hold onto the blue tub.

"Thank you!" I say back, placing my backpack on the tray. The lady in front does the same, pushing it down the conveyer belt.

The guard at the scanner signals her to go through. The scanner turned green and she passed through. "Excuse me Ma'm. I'll need you to step over this way for a moment." He gave me a look that told me to stay back so I don't come through whilst he isn't paying attention. I obliged and waited, watching the scene. "This is a RET, I'm going to take a sample of your blood."

The woman kept a calm exterior but slowly began to panic as they came closer with a needle.

"No!" Screamed before she began towards me. I screamed as she jumped for me, but she didn't reach. One of the guards caught her, dragging her back kicking and screaming. "Let me go!! Please! My family! I need to be there for them!"

Her deep brown eyes poured into mine, pleasing for help, but there was nothing I could do.

I'm sorry...

I thought as she was dragged off behind a wall, kicking and screaming all the way.
