Chains of old Friends
She was panting, holding her neck in pain; but her left hand was clenched by her side. "Oh my..." she took a big breath before collapsing back to the makeshift bed, "lord..."
April was by her side in a second, "Althea!" She said, touching her arm, "are you ok?"
The girl was still rubbing her neck, "I'm ok..." she almost whispers, "I'm ok..." like she was trying to tell herself.
I crouched down next to her, "what happened in there? I thought it's supposed to be a dream?"
Althea shrugged, "I don't think that people are supposed to walk through other people's dreams..." she says with a small smile. "I'm ok," she says sitting up again, putting her necklace back around her neck. "I think I found where she is, or at least, the last place she was. So we need to move quickly."
Althea sat up quickly, completely recovered from her dream. "You're ok?" I question, as she stands up grabbing her bag and she packs everything.
"So we're going to America, but we need to be able to find a certain auto shop, called 'Gutierrez and Sons'.
April was on her phone googling it, and had the results almost instantly. "it's back in America. I'm already googling flights."
I nod as April sits down, focused on getting the best flight possible.
"Her name is Talon," Althea explains, "And she's incredibly dangerous." The was a warning in her tone, "She will kill without mercy, and you can see that in her eyes."
I raise my eyebrows, this is just what we needed, a psycho killer on our team. Well, I guess that she's got to be useful, right?
...
We all made it to the airport, with Althea helping us with directions because otherwise we'd be completely lost.
Travelling through with Althea made it a lot easier, and customs didn't seem to bother us. I guess we didn't look so suspicious with her there by outside.
Everyone in here seemed on edge, with everyone looking over their shoulders, worry on their faces.
Rounding a corner I could see why.
My stomach dropped as I watched a line of people waddle their way through one of the gates for boarding. And when I say waffle, I mean it.
There was no doubt that these were Evo's. hand and feet were in chains, with collars around their necks. Each and everyone one of them were being watched like a hawk, and I honestly think if one moved out of line, then they'd be shot on the spot.
I can see the panic in April's eyes as I took hold of her hand to calm her down. She must have felt awful watching this. She's just a gentle soul...well...except when she's a water demon.
"Elle..." she whispered, having not feared her eyes away from, "Its Sheila...and Isabelle..."
My eyes snapped to the messy blue hair in the line. April was right, that's Isabelle, and beside her was Sheila. They both looked like they had been through a lot.
"Come on, let's sit down." Althea pilled is from our thoughts, guiding us to the vacant seats only a few metres away. "You know them?" She asks as I look back one final time.
I manage to catch Sheila's eye, but rather than seeing pain and suffering, i saw something else. She winked at me, with a smirk on her face. Did she know this was coming? That this was going to happen? I'm not sure.
But we tore her eyes away, looking back as she walked through the door. I'm not going to see her again.
