Previously on Chapter 13

"Oh well... what's done is done. I can't take back what had happened. I just hope... she wouldn't be too mad about it tomorrow" I said. I close my eyes, the tiredness from the fight finally comes crashing down on my body. So, I just let myself relax and slowly drift off to sleep.

-Something Unexpected-

Sakura P.O.V

"NO!!" I yelled out as I sprung up into a sitting position. I breathe heavily as I stare at the wall across from me. I had just woken up from a horrible nightmare. I close my eyes as I recall the dream.

Dream

Me and the rest of Furin are fighting against a group of gangster. I saw Y/N fighting as well. She didn't notice a guy sneaking up behind her. I remember calling out for her to warn her. But as she turns around, the guy had stabbed her on her lower abdomen.

"Y/N!!" I yelled out. I rush over to her. I press a hand on her stabbed abdomen, trying desperately to stop the blood. "Don't close your eyes, please... don't do this to me!" I cried out. I lean my forehead against hers.

"Sakura..." she said, weakly. Tears flow down my cheeks as I stare at her. Her eyes seem like they're going in and out of focus. I shake my head as I hug her tightly.

"Don't leave me, Y/N. Please... I can't live without you" I cried out, burying my face into her shoulder. "I'm nothing without you, Y/N" I pleaded for her to stay awake. But her eyes slowly drifted shut, as her breathing slows down.

End of Dream

I stand up from the bed as I walk back and forth. I run my hand across my face, eventually clutching my head. Tears are starting to gather in my eyes. I can't bear the thought of losing Y/N.

I turn my head to look at the clock to see it's 02:00 in the morning. Which means she must be asleep. I bit my lips as I wipe the tears from my eyes. I shut my eyes tightly as I try desperately to calm down.

"I c-can't do this" I said, my voice cracks a little. I shake my head rapidly, feeling my heart that just wouldn't calm down because of the nightmare I had a while ago. "I have to see her" I choked out, my voice cracking a little. "I... n-need her" I said. I quickly rush towards the door, grabbing my Furin jacket along the way. I rush down the road, heading towards Y/N's house.

Meanwhile

Y/N P.O.V

I wake up to the sound of knocking by the door. I frown as I sit up. I rub my eyes softly. "Who could that be at this late?" I muttered. I turn my head to look at the clock to see it's 02:10 in the morning.

The knocking eventually stops. But not too long after I hear the knocking on my window. I turn my head to see a silhouette of a person. I let out a sigh and stands up. I walk towards the window. I grab the curtain, moving it aside.

"Sakura?" I said, in surprise. I open the window and let him enter my room. "What are you doing here? Do you realize how late it is?" I said. I watch his movements. He's breathing quite heavily as he seems restless.

"Hey, Sakura... what's wro-" I tried to say, but didn't get a chance to finish my sentence as he throws his arms around me. I flinch at his sudden moves as he hugs me tightly.

"S-Sakura..." I said, not expecting him to behave like this. I feel my shirt getting soaked. I realize Sakura is crying. I blink my eyes in confusion, but slowly wrap my arms around him. I gently rub his back as he keeps on crying.

After a while, he finally calmed down. But he didn't move or pull away. He just keeps his head buried into the crook of my neck. I furrowed my eyebrows, feeling confused why he's like this.

"Are you gonna tell me what's going on?" I said, after a while of just standing in his arms in silence. The sound of his breathing is still uneven. He's probably trying to regain composure.

I gently push him off me. He keeps his head lower and his bangs are covering his eyes. There're a few dried tears on his face, mixed with fresh ones. I slowly lift my hands, gently cupping his cheeks. I gently wipe the tears form his face.

"What happened, Sakura? Why do you look so shaken up?" I asked. He closes his eyes and leans his forehead against mine. "You can tell me anything..." I said, in a soft voice.

"I had a nightmare" he said. I hum softly. He closes his eyes. I notice his eyelids trembling, as if he's trying to get rid of the horrid image that's haunting him. "I had a bad. No... horrible nightmare. About you, Y/N" he said. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. He opens his eyes to look at me.

"We were fighting against a group of gangsters and you were stabbed. I held you close in my arms as I watch you took your last breath. It was horrible, Y/N" he said. He starts to have another break down. He pulls me into his arms again.

"I can't bear the thought of that actually happening to you" he said. He tighten his arms around me as he hugs me close. "I can't lose you. Without you... I'm nothing" he said. My eyes widen at what he said.

He pulls away to look at me. He lift his hands, cupping my cheeks. He leans his forehead against mine. His eyes staring into mine with an emotion I didn't notice were always there.

"Ever since you comforted me. You make me feel better about myself... about my appearance" he said. He gently caress my cheek with his thumb. I stare at him as I stay silent.

"And ever since then... you become someone important to me, Y/N" he said. He leans his forehead against mine again. "I love you, Y/N..." he said. I stare at him in shock as I didn't expect him those three words to come out of his mouth. He slowly leans in, gently placing his lips against mine. My eyes widen at his action. Sakura is... kissing me?
