Previously on Chapter 12

"Yeah whatever... Onii-Chan" I said. He grins happily as he seems satisfied. I let out a giggle and turn my head to look at Sakura. I don't know if it's my imagination. But Sakura looks a little... relieved?

-Feeling At Ease-

Y/N P.O.V

Now that the Shishitoren and Furin have settled down our differences. We can finally return to Furin with ease. Of course, Choji made me promise that I'd come to visit him. He's a little sad that I still choose to be in Furin. But he respects my choice.

I notice someone running our way. Turns out it's the one who got hurt by Shishitoren. He looks relieved to see we are all okay. I smile softly as Umemiya-San places a hand on his head, giving him a comforting smile.

We make our way inside Pothos Cafe. "Ko... To... Ha!!" Umemiya-San said, gleefully as he went for a hug. But Kotoha only moves aside to avoid him. I let out a laugh at the sight.

"Well, I'm heading home..." Sakura said. I turn my head to look at him. Just as he was about to walk out, a hand grabs him by the collar. I let out a nervous chuckle as Umemiya-San picks him up and rush towards one of the seat, tossing him on it. All the while asking for Kotoha to prepare some special coffees.

I claim my spot next to Suo, since Umemiya-San wants to speak with Sakura. I wasn't sure why the first thing on my mind was taking a seat next to him each time we are gathering. It just felt natural to do so. I wasn't sure why before. But now, I'm sure... I'm in with love Sakura.

Sakura P.O.V

"So how was the talk with Togame?" Umemiya asked. I just answer truthfully. I don't really hear anything. In which he burst out laughing. He starts to explain what he meant by fighting is also a conversation. I just hum at what he said. I turn my head to the side where Y/N is seated next to Suo. I place my chin on the palm of my hand as I stare at her.

"Hm?" Umemiya let out. I turn my head to look at him. He has a playful grin on his face. "You like her, don't you?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows at me. My face starts to feel hot by his question. "Hah! You do!!" He exclaimed while pointing at me.

"Shut. It!" I hissed. I turn my head to the side to see Y/N and the others have turned their heads at us. My cheeks went hot from embarrassments. "Don't you dare say a thing!" I said. He makes a zipping motion on his mouth. I turn my head to the others who just stares at us. They are probably wondering what's going on.

"It's nothing. Don't mind it" I said, waving my hand in dismissal. They turn their heads away, making me let out a sigh of relief. I turn to look at Umemiya to see him trying not to laugh. I glare at him.

"Soo~. Are you going to confess?" He said, covering his mouth slightly. My eyes widen at what he said. I let out a sigh and shakes my head. "Why not?" He asked.

I turn my head away from him. "Cuz' ain't no way she's gonna have the same feelings as me" I said. My heart is aching even at the thought of it. The thought that Y/N and I could never be together.

"What makes you so sure? You won't know what she's feeling about you if you don't try" he said. I just stay silent after that. He let out a sigh and stands up. He reaches across and place it on my head. "Just do what you think is best for you. That's my only advice..." he said. I hum softly, nodding my head lightly.

Y/N P.O.V

After the celebration, we all went separate ways. I turn my head to look behind me as I hear footsteps. I realize it's Sakura.

"I'll... walk you home?" He offered. I smile softly at him and nod my head. He speeds up to walk side by side. I turn my head to look forward. The rest of the way to my house is pretty much filled with silence. But it felt quite comforting. I'm happy that I can be close to him.

After a while of walking we finally reach my house. I have moved out of Kotoha's house, since Choji bought this one for me. So this is where I'll be living now.

I turn around to face Sakura. "Hey... thank you for walking me home" I said, smiling softly at him. He just sends me a smile and nods his head. I frown as I stare at his face. "Are your injuries still hurting?" I asked. I lift my hand, gently placing it on the small cut above his eyebrow.

"I'm gonna be fine..." he said. He gently grabs my hand, slowly stopping it from touching his wound. I smile softly at him and nod my head. He bit his lips as if he's contemplating about something. Eventually, he slowly moves closer towards me. I stay still as he leans down, lightly pressing his lips against my forehead.

"Take care, Y/N. And rest well" he said, in a soft voice. I stare at him in surprise. He quickly turns around and walks off without turning back even once. But I can see the redness on his cheeks.

Sakura P.O.V

I push the door to my house open. I walk towards my bed and let myself fall on it. I wince in pain as my injuries starts to ache a little. I place my hand on my abdomen which had received a hard kick from that guy.

So, Y/N and that shorty is half-siblings. That's all there is to their relationships. Just brother and sister. I let out a sigh, feeling stupid that I even thought that I'd have a chance with an angel like Y/N. My mind eventually drift off to the little moment I share with Y/N. I can still feel the moment where my lips touches her forehead.

"Haa!!! Why did I even do that??" I groan as I ruffle my hair out of frustration. I turn to lay on my non-injured side. I stare at the wall. "I'm just going to make things awkward between us" I said, in a much calmer tone. I groan out in frustration as I move to lay on my back again. I'm so stupid!! She's going to think so wrongly about me, and possibly hates me for what I did!

"Oh well... what's done is done. I can't take back what had happened. I just hope... she wouldn't be too mad about it tomorrow" I said. I close my eyes, the tiredness from the fight finally comes crashing down on my body. So, I just let myself relax and slowly drift off to sleep.
