Virgil gets angy

Virgil yawned softly, rubbing his eyes, grip loosing in the bat plush. He blinked, seeing nobody. He set his bat down, getting up to get a piece of plain toast. His stomach still hurt, but all he remembered from earlier was he didn't feel good and he puked. He still felt nauseous, but it was fine, he's dealt with worse. He yawned again, grabbing a piece of bread and throwing it into the toaster as he leaned on the counter by the toaster.

"Hello Virgil" Logan greeted. "How are you feeling?" Virgil shrugged.

"Better then earlier, just pretty tired, I mean, I just woke up and haven't had coffee though so it makes sense" Virgil grumbled, grabbing the now toast and taking a small bite. Logan nodded.

"Any clue why you got so sick?" Virgil sucked in a breath.

"I don't wanna bug you guys with my diet and shit" He mumbled, taking another bite of toast.

"It won't be a bother at all Virgil"

"I- I get sick after eating most meats. Chicken is more or less a grey zone, it depends on how much I eat of it. Then pork and beef and all the rest makes me sick no matter how little I have" Virgil explained quickly. Logan nodded.

"Interesting" Logan hummed. "I'll make sure if we have meat or anything we have something else for you"

"You don't have to do that! I'm okay, I normally avoid it anyways! I was just little and not thinking about it, I was just excited to see what tacos were" Virgil said quickly, taking a bite of the toast.

"It's not an issue Virgil, I'm more then happy to make sure we have something for you at meals if it's needed"

"I'm an adult Logan, I can do it myself if I need to" Virgil grumbled.

"I understand that, however, I was simply offering my assistance." Logan said softly. Virgil nodded.

"Yeah, I know, sorry just on edge for whatever reason" Logan nodded.

"You should probably call in sick for work you know" Logan suggested. Virgil shrugged.

"I'll be fine" Virgil said simply. Logan sighed.

"You threw up Virgil, I'd say that's a good reason to call in sick"

"They don't have anyone else though"

"Then that's their fault, not yours" Virgil groaned.

"Fine! Whatever" Virgil grumbled. Logan nodded with a soft smile.

"I think you should go to bed too, it's obvious you're not feeling well" Logan explained further. Virgil groaned.

"Stop treating me like a kid Logan, I'm twenty four" Virgil said harshly.

"I was just trying to help you Virgil, it's obvious you wouldn't of even taken work off despite the fact your ill, Virgil" Logan said angrily. Virgil flinched, looking to the side.

"I can decide what the fuck to do Logan," Virgil snapped. "You're input right now doesn't concern me, I'm going to work, and you can't help that any, I need the money, so back the fuck off and leave me alone" Virgil quickly left the room, slamming his door and locking it. He took a deep breath, finishing the toast and grabbing his work clothes. He changed quickly and grabbed his phone, leaving the apartment not giving Logan a second glance. He really didn't know what was making him so mad.

Virgil sighed, waving to a waiter as he stepped behind the bar. Andrew came up to him.

"Hi cutie" He giggled, his friend for once was no where to be seen. Virgil groaned silently.

"What do you want?" Virgil asked.

"Oh you know, the usual, shot of vodka and a chance to get your number" he giggled again.

"I can only give one of them." Virgil said, rubbing his eyes. He quickly made the shot, giving it to Andrew and starting on some orders.

That night was a pretty normal one, one where Virgil returned to the house again in tears; he slammed his door shut before anyone could come near him though. He curled in on himself, crying silently as he slid down the door. He gripped his hair tightly, taking deep breaths in order not to sob.

"Virgil?" He heard Logan call.

"Fuck off" Virgil growled, he looked around his room, his eyes falling onto Birdie, his eyes softened a little, and he stood to grab him and held him close. He sat on the floor by his bed, stuffing his nose into the plush.

"Raven?" Logan asked again but softer. Virgil narrowed his eyes, the light feeling he felt right before he fell into his little space coming to his attention.

"I said fuck off!" Virgil yelled, his voice slightly more childish.

"Virgil!" Logan said harshly, noticing the start of his slip. Virgil flinched at the tone, huffing childishly.

"Open the door please" Logan sighed.

"Nu uh! You a meanie!" Virgil said with a huff, getting up again and grabbing his fluffy blanket.

"Virgil, open the door" Logan said loudly. Virgil's as silent for a second, before perking up.

"Fuck ou!" He said loudly before realizing what he said.

"Virgil! You do not swear!" Logan yelled. Virgil flinched back, slowly getting up after putting his blanket down, and opening the door, flinching back as he saw Logan. Smaller tears raced down his face, and he hid his face in his bat. "Virgil? Do you know what you did wrong?" Logan asked sternly. Virgil nodded softly with a sniffle. "Are you sorry?" Virgil nodded again. Logan sighed, slowly leading Virgil to the kitchen. "Time out for three minutes, I know how much you hate them, but I think that'll get my point across better" Logan said softly, Virgil nodded with another sniffle, sitting down by the island, pushing away his bat like normal. Logan gave his plush back, giving Virgil a look. Virgil flinched a little, curling up. Tears were flying down his face at this point, but he hid his face so Logan wouldn't see. He knew he was acting up, and he was really sorry, like, extremely sorry that he couldn't even explain it. His eyes widened as Logan left the room, and his cries became audible.

"P-Papa?" He whispered, his grip on Birdie a vice grip. "P-papa!" Virgil said louder. Logan didn't come back in the room yet, and that caused Virgil to get up and start looking for him.

"Virgil!" Logan scolded, "what are you doing up?" Virgil hiccuped, flinching and running back to the island, curling into himself as much as he could. He heard Logan sigh. "Raven?" Virgil glanced up at Logan. "I'm sorry for snapping at you,"

"I-I' otay..." Virgil whispered. Logan nodded lightly.

"Come on then, do you want to play or anything?" Virgil whined lightly, hugging his bat tighter. He shook his head. Logan hummed. "Should we see if Rem can come over?" Virgil shook his head again, scooting his way over to Logan.

"Uddle?" Virgil whispered. Logan nodded, picking Virgil up and going to the couch, letting Virgil cuddle into his chest, basically being a koala. "Ank ou Papa... M sorry, pease, m sorry" Virgil whimpered, shoving his face into Logan's chest.

"It's okay Raven, we just know that we can't swear now right?" Virgil nodded.

"M sorry" He repeated. "Ont' eave"

"I won't leave Raven, let's get you some fruit yeah?" Virgil nodded softly, still hugging tightly to Logan.

"I have to get up Raven, I can't carry you with you like this" Virgil whined.

"No go den" Virgil mumbled. Logan chuckled lightly.

"Don't you want fruit?" Virgil nodded with a whine.

"Then you have to move Raven" Virgil shook his head.

"Then no fruit" Logan said softly. Virgil nodded, clinging onto Logan.

"No go" Virgil said softly.

"I'm not going anywhere Raven, I'm sorry for yelling at you" Virgil nodded, his hold loosing a little, biting on his lip. "How old are you Raven?" Virgil whined with a shrug.

"Too 'ittle" Virgil grumbled.

"Too little? Well how little is that?" Virgil huffed.

"Too ittle!" Virgil said harsher, it was muffled but it was still harsh. He heard a door open, seeing Roman come out.

"Hey storm cloud! How are you doing?" Roman asked leaning on the couch. Virgil huffed, whining a little.

"Wan 'uit bu Papa would 'ave ta go"

"You want fruit Stormy?" Roman asked softly. Virgil nodded, seemingly to forget about the small fight Logan and him were having over his age. "Ill get you some ok?" Virgil nodded with a thank you, shoving his face back into Logan's chest.

"Now, how little are you Raven?" Virgil whined again, shaking his head. Logan pat his head a little, "that's ok, tell me when you want ok?" Logan said reluctantly. Virgil nodded, looking over Logan's shoulder and the couch to where Roman was finishing up putting a few fruits in a bowl.

"Here you go Stormy" Roman did softly, ruffing the littles hair. Virgil beamed.

"ank ous!" Virgil hummed, taking a bite of the apple that had been sliced. Roman nodded.

"Do you need your pacifier Storm cloud?" Roman asked, noticing that Virgil didn't have it. Virgil's eyes narrowed and he frowned a little.

"I... I dun 'ow" Virgil whispered. Hugging Birdie a little tighter, glaring at his fruit in confusion. Logan rubbed Virgil's back a little.

"That's ok... how about Ro grabs it just in case" Virgil nods silently, slowly eating an orange slice, and setting another by Birdie, as if sharing the snack. He leaned into Logan again, and Logan got struck with the realization that Virgil smelt of alcohol again, not as bad, but still, it meant that Virgil should probably change at the very least, seeming as the younger was still in his work clothes. Roman soon came back with Virgil's pacifier clipping it to the boys shirt.

"Virgil?" Logan asked softly, "how bout we go change you into a onesie, maybe a bath?" Virgil whined, laying back down into Logan.

"Uh- uh" Virgil mumbled. " wanna stay uddling"

"Well yes, but we need to get you out of work clothes, it can hardly be comfortable." Virgil whined loudly. Eating another apple slice.

"Afa' I ea'?" Roman nodded, sitting with the two, and Logan reluctantly agreed.

"After you eat..." Logan mumbled softly, turning on the tv to pass the time.
