Camp Counselor

After I changed my clothes, Daniel and I went out to the kids. All of them were standing by the tents with Gwen. I stood there with my hands on my hips and a smile on my face. Daniel hesitated but slowly came and stood next to me. "Campers," I said enthusiastically " you all remember Daniel right? " Looking over, Daniel was nervously playing with the bottom of his shirt. "David," Max said seriously " you aren't actually going to let him stay here right? " All the campers looked at us with concern, noticing Daniel next to me.

Gwen came and stood next to Daniel, "Look guys," Gwen started " he's not going to do anything. " Daniel looked as if he was about to have a mental breakdown. "Look, he's been through a lot," Gwen said wrapping an arm around Daniel's shoulders " so I expect you to be nice. " Everyone seemed to agree, except for Max, but he didn't say anything. So everyone went into the cafeteria for breakfast. "Hey Daniel," I said catching his attention " i need to show you something. " Both of us walked back to the counselor cabin. I walked to the bed, and reached under it. Pulling out the two items, I handed them to Daniel. He looked see struck, as he held the fiddle and bow in his hands. "You left them here the last time," I told him " figured you would want them back. "

He stared at them for a while, then set them down on the bed. He walked to my desk and took out a pen and paper. After he and ed me the paper, I read what it said. 'Thank you so much! I thought I lost them. They were my grandfather's, my 10th birthday present.' I smiled and looked at him "No problem buddy." He's going to be a great counselor.
