Also sorry for the long wait! Riley's boss's name is Todd and I hope you'll enjoy what I have so far. Any misspelling or errors I apologize, I'm still new to how to write.

Riley was quick to be on her twenty minute break as soon as you mentioned your boss being a man. Being a regular for a while, you became close friends with her boss Todd too.

So the moment Riley mentioned she was gonna get you to spill some dirt, he knew he couldn't stop her charade so he let her take a break. She then sets up a chair at a table with you and sits excitedly waiting for you to tell her as much as possible.

"Sooooo??" She gives you the 'come on' hand gestures. Her eyes grew wide with a smile as she did so.

"W-What is it you wanna know?" You stuttered.

"Oh come on spill! What's he like? How'd you meet him? Is he cute? What does he do? Have you made a move on him? Does he like you??" Her eyes grew wider with excitement making your eyes widen in playful disbelief.

"Jeez you ever breathe air at all?!?" You ask while laughing at how Riley can ask so many questions all in one breath and not pass out.

"I'm magical! Now don't turn this around to be about me I wanna know details about your boss." She leans on her hand as she places her elbows on the table, giving you a 'you better tell me' look.

"Well..it's kind of a weird story." Riley looks unamused at your attempt to escape story telling but sits in the same pose waiting for you to continue.

"Well then better make it a twenty minute one." You laugh again, then inhale a deep breathe trying to figure out how to start.

Before you begin though you again chuckle whilst shaking your head, looking down at your intertwined fingers as they make circles on your own hand. The memories of earlier and how your boss was acting not long ago made you curious for your friend's opinion.

"How should I start..um..remember that date with Simon I had a while ago that didn't turn out great?" Riley processed what you said, remembering that day then nods.

"Well a stranger there tried to offer me money for hitting me in my face with a ball, of course I said no and when Simon later on was being a jerk to me once I met him..Lets just say the stranger came to my rescue. Then as I was looking for a job months later, i met my now boss who I believe might be the same man who helped me before." You did your best to explain to the best of your abilities, Riley nods and processes it all together as you stare at your hands briefly.

"How do you not know if it's him though? Sounds to me like it's the same person." You sigh. Then Riley's boss comes out and brings you your usual, you start to eat as you continue to chat. Riley taking bits and pieces of your food, making you swat her hand away every so often.

"They had the same names but my vision was a bit blurry from the hit so I don't remember properly what the stranger looked like that tried to help me. Only that his name was Zak and he had the attitude of a player, to which I don't like at all." Riley rolls her eyes and takes a hold of your hand that you placed on the table.

"I know you're not into the whole a**face cocky kind of guys but atleast he was nice enough to help you ya know?" Your lips press a little tightly together as you know that she's right, he was decent enough to try to help you.

"That's true but I just wish i could see if that same man was him."

"Why?" Riley asks confused. Slyly taking about piece of food off your plate. You glare at her playfully and continue.

"Because...lately it feels like there's something with my boss that I can't explain." You try to piece it all together from that long walk last time. Riley smiles and laughs.

"What's there to explain?" She asks as she sits up in her seat.

"Well recently we walked his dog together, we were out throughout what felt like my whole shift and it felt like there was something there.."

"You mean you LIKE him??" Riley exclaims quietly then wiggles her dark eyebrows at you. You roll your (eye color) eyes at her and take a big swat her hand.

"Ouch! Hey! No hitting me when I'm right!" She laughs as she rubs her hand you smacked.

"Behave nerd, I mean that it feels like he's got ulterior motives for my working at his home. I mean he's pretty rich judging by his home and he could hire anyone else to clean it so why trust a stranger like me with no cleaning background?" You pout as you're deep in thoughts. Riley knows that there is something more to your thoughts but doesn't mention it. She planned to let you figure it out.

"Well first of all you didn't deny liking him and secondly he sounds to me like he wanted to help you. Maybe even get to know you a bit so I wouldn't give it such thoughts like 'oh he's an awful person'. But if he ever does anything to you I will find him and when I do, by the time I'm done he will not be heard of for years." She stares intensely at you. You sigh at Riley and her crazy talk, she's always been protective of people she cares for so you were used to it.

"He's my boss Riley, plus he's handsome and so different that there's no way he will like me that way..IF ANYTHING WAS GOING ON."

"Hold that thought." She says as she gets up to help around with Todd. After what felt like a short while, she returns to hear some more. You never bothered to check the time you've been out nor had you bothered to check your phone if Zak needed you or not. Riley comes back breathless but giggling as she can't wait to give you a piece of her advice.

"You never know unless you give it a chance..but of course wait for now. This sounds to me like he must like you if he's saved you twice already." She smirks as she wiggles her eyes brows, teasing you once again.

"Ha! If it even IS him. Anyways I believe your twenty minutes seem to be up and I've got to head on back." Riley sighs, looks at Todd and he shakes his head 'no' to letting her have extra time to talk. You giggle at the two of them as they have a friendship and a work relationship going on, one that you wanted. You wanted to be on friendly terms with your boss since once in a while his tall stoic demeanor kind of scared you.

Soon after you left you noticed how much time you actually spent being out. It was almost an hour longer than the amount of time you told Zak you'd be out for lunch. You didn't realize Todd was nice enough to actually give Riley more than twenty minutes to talk.

Shit I'm late!!!! How did we talk for so long!? You thought as you felt your blood run cold.

After checking the time, you also realized that Zak had been calling and texting. He called you 15 times and left you 13 text messages. You were so worried about being fired that you went lightning speed to arrive back to his home as soon as possible.

You wave off frantically to Riley and Todd, quickly hopped into your car and nearly sped off into the sun as you tried to hurry back to work. It was the first time you'd ever been late from lunch break, you really hoped and pleaded inside that you wouldn't be fired for this. As soon as you parked nearby and went up towards his doorway, before you could even grab a hold of the knob you watched as it turns and in front of you was a fuming Zak with wide eyes and his face seemed almost crimson red. He looked angry but what confirmed it was when you noticed his fists were clenched tightly by his side.

You couldn't speak, but lowered your head embarrassed.

He then moves to the side and lets you inside without saying a word to you and closes his front door. You remained standing at the doorway while clutching tightly onto the end of your shirt.

"Where were you!?" He screams at you. You curl up into his door as you start to slightly shake, he started to close in on you and it made you all the more nervous. Someone you had never met before stood next to him taking a hold of his arm to keep him from getting closer to you, telling him to stop yelling.

"I-I was.." You didn't get to finish your explanation as Zak cuts you off.

"Do you not know how worried I was!? I thought you were kidnapped or something!" The man harshly tugs onto his arm, Zak then looks at him with a threatening look on his face. The room felt tense and fell deadly silent as the stranger glared back at Zak. But after what felt like hours of them having a stare down, Zak takes a few deep slow breaths.

"Dude, you're scaring her man. Cut the sh*t." The man loudly whispers to Zak as your hands started to shake a little from the yelling. You leaned against the corner of the wall next to the door and nearly fell to the floor as you placed your hands over your ears Incase he yelled some more.

It scared you when someone raised their voices or yelled, the action alone brought back some scary memories from your past.

Zak then jerks away from the stranger's grasp and walks off into what you assumed was his bedroom. The rather tall man and you were now alone, he awkwardly smiles at you and walks closer leaning down to meet your eye level but doesn't invade your personal space. You slowly lower your shaky hands to your sides but you don't make eye contact much.

"Hey my name's Aaron. I'm Zak's friend and I work with him too. Nice to meet you." He says in a soft voice as he extends his hand out towards you.

"M-m-my n-name is (Y/n). N-nice to meet you." You stutter nervously as you slowly shake Aaron's hand, you were still shaken from Zak's yell a moment ago.

"I'm sorry about that, I've never seen him freak out like that before. You alright?" He asks in a concerned voice. You nervously nod and he makes an awkward side smile as he scratches his hairless head.

"He's not like that a lot...he's a pretty good guy, he doesn't act like this. I promise you he's not always this way." You knew he was trying to make you less afraid but you couldn't speak, instead you nodded at Aaron showing him you heard him as you sat on the floor trying to calm yourself completely.

While you and Aaron remained in the the other room. Zak was still inside his room, tugging on his hair and pacing around. He was upset that he yelled at you but he was also upset that you had worried him like that, no one else had done that to him before.

What's going on with me?..she hasn't been here for very long and already she has me wrapped up... He thought to himself as he rapidly paced around his room.

Aaron walks up behind Zak and He can hear him sighing in disappointment. Not even needing to turn around to see him shake his head in disapproval at Zak's earlier action.

"Dude you gotta apologize for yelling at her. I know she's your employee and all but she's still a person." Aaron comes in calmly. He nods and as Aaron leaves, Zak slowly walk outside to see (Y/n) still there in the corner.

She's still exactly how I had left her. He thought as he awkwardly swallows what saliva he had left.
