James POV:

It was the day of Sirius' birthday. Everyone from the school gathered up into the Hogshead to celebrate. Even our parents came so we asked Mike to close the place for the night and he agreed
"Here's to Sirius and him being 17" I say shooting my drink up In the air as everyone follows
"You're too kind Prongs" Sirius says as Remus pats bum on the back
"Prongs, Moony operation 17 is a go" peter says making Remus and I nod and walk onto the stage.
"Wait" Remus says walking back towards the table, pulling a pink tiara with hot pink fur and the words "birthday Princess" on it
Everyone laughed
Remus walked back up to the stage and nodded to mike who was running the karaoke
Suddenly the tune of "dancing queen" by ABBA was on. I saw lily spit out her drink and my mum looked at us weirdly

The 3 of us start in harmony, but it's hard since peter isn't that much of a singer

Everyone was laughing as we were dancing to the song we sang

Remus came off of the stage and went towards Sirius singing

"Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go

Remus took Sirius' hand and spun him around as he danced along to the song. Remus continues

Peter and I come off the stage and go to Remus and Sirius

We started heavily dancing with Sirius. I hear lily and Marlene snickering and laughing

I start

Remus, Peter and I are down on one knee while Sirius is in the middle with his hands up.

"Thanks boys, that was great" Sirius says as he hugs us
"That's no problem" I say as my mum and dad stand behind me
"Sirius we want to give you you're gift" dad says
"Mum, dad you guys are already a gift to me" he says as I roll my eyes. Meet my brother the kiss ass
"Sirius" Mum says giving Sirius a beautifully wrapped gift. His face lit up
"You are just the cutest" Marlene says kissing his cheek
Sirius slowly opens the present to reveal a picture frame. A tear rolls down his eye
"Really?" He asks as mums eyes start to water
"Mhm" she nods
"What is it mate" I ask looking at the frame. Inside the frame was signed adoption papers indicating that Sirius black was legally a Potter.
He hugs mum and dad tightly while sobbing as lily and Marlene give me a confused look
"He's officially a Potter. We adopted him" I say holding back my tears
Sirius runs up to me and hugs me. I hug him hard and let go
"I'M OFFICIALLY A POTTER BOY" he screams making everyone cheer
"Congratulations mate" Remus says hugging him
"Congratulations Pads" Peter adds patting his back

Marlene turns to me and asks with a scared look
"If I get married to him and want to keep my last name I'm going to be 'Marlene Magnolia McKinnon Black Potter'?"
"Or just take Black" Lily says
"Actually Padfoot what will you do? Keep black or go full Potter?" I ask
"Probably keep Black to make it easier for everyone" he says
"Is that alright mum?" He asks
"That's perfectly fine. Either way you still are legally our son" Mum says
"Happy birthday Sirius" we hear a strangely familiar voice say. We turn around to see Molly Weasley and her husband Arthur. Molly is a good family friend and is also cousins with Alice (Alices last name is Prewett and Molly's maiden name is Prewett).
"Thank you" Sirius says hugging them both
"How is everything" he asks with a smile
"Good, we found out yesterday we're having twin boys" Molly answers
"Congratulations" I say as lily comes up to me
"Hello Molly, Arthur" lily says shaking their hands with a smile
"Isn't this your 4th and 5th child and son" Sirius asks
"Yes it is but I refuse to stop until I get myself a daughter" she says proudly
"That's the spirit!" I say
"You know what, when you have a daughter you could marry her off to James and Lily's future child" Remus says sneaking up on us
"That's a deal" I say with a laugh
"Hey who said I agreed to marry you" lily jokingly says
"Oh please" I say with a laugh
"Sirius Andromeda sends her regards and congratulations" Arthur says. The Tonks and Weasleys are also good friends. Sirius and Andromeda are close cousins that have the same problem.
"Tell her I said thank you, and make sure to kiss little Tonks for me" Sirius reply's
"Will do"
"Sirius" I hear Marlene a half drunk whisper
"Yea babe" Sirius asks
"Let's go back to your place so I can give you your present" she whispers back
"Don't have to tell me twice" he says grabbing her hand and running out of the door. Lily and I break out into laughter.
"It was nice seeing you" I say to the Weasleys as I grab Lily's hand and heading out to my car.
We get into the car and instantly connect our lips
"Ugh I missed you" she says
"I missed you too" I say cuddling her body close to mine
"We're THAT couple aren't we?" She asks. I chuckle slightly and say
"Yes we are. Oh I hope you and Marlene already found dresses for the ball"
"Shite I knew I forgot something" she groans
"Go tomorrow and make sure your parents and Petunia come to the ball. My parents love you and would really like to meet them" I say making her sigh
"Alright, but I hope you know I'm only doing this because I love you"
"I love you too" I say kissing her
I cuddle her close to my body and kiss the top of her head
"G'night my lilyflower" I whisper to myself
"G'night mclovin" she says
