❕Chapter 15❗

Chapter 15: I Didn't Mean It.

"What!?" He shouted. I grabbed my head, snapping into a ball. My motion was in a way that I hit my head, hard, against the sink, a burning snap in my forhead.

He scared me literally into hurting myself. What the heck.

"What, what?" I coughed back, not opening my eyes, my hand covering my forehead.

"What are you doing..." He said softly. I finally looked at him in the mirror. His stance in the doorway said it all: he walked in on me. He more of was looking at me and saw something when we were talking previously.

"I'm cleaning my arms off? What does it look like?" I turned my head and looked at him. His eyes slightly widened.

"O-Oh. Sorry..." He walked over. His facial expression twisted from what seemed like anger to concern. His hands both touched my cheeks, almost pulling my head up to look at him.

I never moved my hand from my forehead. He looked at me, his eyes just wanting me to move my hand. He seemed to want to see what crap he had done to me. I refused, trying to turn away.

He actually let me move my head. His hands dropped, him stepping back from me. Garroth quietly sighed.

"I'm sorry..."

I raised a brow, slowly turning my head, lowering my hand, "And why are you?"

He looked at me, his eyebrows both raised to see my face, "Well for that on your face I pushed to make and... for over... reacting..." With each word of the last phrase, his head turned to look down. Which eventually, he did look down. He didn't look up.

I sighed, not answering, looking at the reflection. It wasn't that bad. Just a little red. It began fading after a minute or two. My head turned back around to see Garroth laying down on the bed, him obviously upset. It just made me smile, I wanting to walk over to him.

I was pretty quiet. I lightly sat down the way he was facing, gently touching the back of his head with my hand. He bit the inside of his cheek, this was noticable from how the right side of his face slightly sunk in, before he looked up at me. I gently smiled, "I love you.."

He started to smile again, "I love you too, (y/n)."

I gently smiled, "You... Know what else?" I asked, scooting down to lay beside him, getting to his eye level.

"What?" He gently chuckled, our faces near one another's. His chuckle made me smile, my eyes slightly narrowed at him.

"You have work today." I said, smiling gently.

Garroth sighed, "I know. I hate it." He said softly back, "I would rather be here with you."

"I know, I know." My voice erupted into a giggle-hiccup, his smile slightly growing back.

We went silent for a few moments before he looked at me, "But I love you."

I looked back up at him, the corner of my lips tugging up into a smile, "I love you too..."

He gently smiled before slightly leaning toward me, both of us almost touching lips before we both moved back, "Whoa."

Garroth laughed nervously, rolling off the bed and getting up, "I should- "

"It's probably- "

"I think I- "

I laughed softly, nervously, gently looking at him as he started out the room.

My smile faded as I realized I did want to kiss him.

"But yeah. I think it's right." He turned back around, walking over to me.

I laughed, walking straight to him, the two of us wrapping our arms around each other, mine around his neck and his on my waist, before kissing.

It was different, mostly for the reason that it was like a movie. You kind of reject it at first but you actually really, really want it.

Wait a moment. That's life.

It was a few moments before we let go, standing there near one another for the longest time in a pause, just looking at each other before letting go. He left the room and I sank back onto my bed, my eyes watching him leave, a smile gently crossing my face before it faded once more.

I looked over at my nightstand. My laptop sat beside the lamp. I probably should send some stuff to a few people. It's more of I need to send e-mails for my dad. He... hasn't been doing anything, really, lately.

The thought made me begin to frown before I grabbed my phone. I dialed his work number, softly pressing the phone up to my ear.

It was silent before the connecting sound rang a few times. It felt like forever, each one droning on for a few seconds longer it seemed, anxiety heightening with every still killtime.

"Hello?"

I had gotten so lost in waiting that I jumped at his voice. "Hey, Daddy." I said softly, slightly smiling.

It's been a really long time since I've apparently talked to my dad..."

"Oh. Hello, (y/n)..." He said softly, it very sad in a way of him usually perked up. In a way if not sounding close to a monotone voice.

I sighed quietly, "Is everything okay?"

"Yes, Why wouldn't anything be wrong? I mean, it's been a normal few months and I've been still swarmed with work." His voice trailed off in spots, the shuffling of papers in the noisy feedback.

"Well... For one Sammy... And now you don't sound happy." I said gently.

His voice paused, the sound of his phone moving away from his ear before I heard him sniffle, almost about to cry it seemed.

I suddenly teared up. If my dad is going into this state, something happened. I bit the inside of my cheek, hundreds of scenarios rushing through my head.

There was a very long pause of silence, none of us speaking, all the sound I heard was from the line connection and feedback. I finally broke the silence, saying:

"Daddy, what's going on?" My voice waivered, my gut hurting, and everything crashing down at his answer.

"Sarah is dead."

Time to rip my heart out. I teared up thinking of ideas and I'm like "I'm using this one then!"

But yeah. Sorry for so long of no updates...

I'm actually typing this on my phone this time. So wow!
But yeah. I hope you all enjoyed it and I will be back next chapter.
Just look out for Mrs. Veronica Afton.
