Everyone was mingling around and enjoying their time. The royals were having a grand ole time drinking champagne and conversing among themselves. The men were talking business about their kingdoms while the women were trying to capture the attention of the prince. Prince Quinn was dancing with all the ladies, but he couldn't find a suitable lady to be his queen. What you said about getting a divorce was easier said than done. 

   ' How can I find someone to wed and divorce? Most of these girls just like me because of my looks or they want to bed me. I want to be king but I don't want to lose myself before the divorce. '

Another girl came to dance with Quinn and she had as much cleavage showing as his mother did. He found it repulsive and when he saw her face, he could see the makeup practically melting off of her face. He wanted to leave as fast as he could and return to his room or to go outside and stargaze, but he knew his father would pull him back into the ballroom. He already angered his father by showing up to a formal event in something that wasn't gold or red. He was happy to get his parents angry, after all, he didn't even want an engagement ball in the first place. 

You on the other hand was walking between the kitchen and the food table. You were delivering food from the kitchen to the tables. Of course, you were allowed to have fun at the ball but your mind was on working overtime for bigger pay. You still had a dream and that was to travel and you could only do that if you had money. After your fifth pickup of food, the chiefs told you to go have fun and stop worrying about helping them.

You set the tray down and walked into the room full of people. It was crowded and getting hot in the room quickly. All the bodies moving around and wasting energy caused their body heat to float through the room and heat it up. You saw Elina dancing with someone and Genevive was talking with the other maids. You didn't see any reason to stay inside and get hot so you made your way to the glass doors on the ballroom floor. 

You opened the doors and shut them behind you. You were now outside in the fresh cool air, and it flew by welcoming you to the outside world. You walked up to the railing and looked up to the stars. They were bright and you could pick up the constellations easily in the dark sky. You first found the Aries sign and traced out the imaginary line connecting the stars together.

Beside Aries was the Triangulum and the Andromeda then came the Cassiopeia. You traced each constellation with your finger and smiled at your memory. You memorized the stars and their constellations and did your best to teach yourself the names and where they were located in the sky. You knew that they would always be in the sky for you to look and gaze at. To study and remember whose names were written in the stars.

   " You know they say people whose names are written in the stars are destined to meet and fall in love. "

   " Actually when something is written in the stars it means that it's going to happen in the future. People just assume it's only to do with people. " You replied looking down at the newcomer. 

You smiled seeing Jin joining you outside. He was wearing all black and his deep blue eyes matched his undershirt while his tie was still black. He wasn't wearing his usual assassin uniform and you guessed that they had the day off to have fun at the ball.

   " Why are you not inside dancing with some billionaire man? "

   " I would rather be out here looking at the stars instead of being in there with all that body heat. It's so hot it felt like an oven. "

   " Agreed. That doesn't explain why you're not dancing with a billionaire man though? "

   " I don't want to listen to some story about how they're so rich and they have extra money to spend. That's just sinful to put a woman through that. "

   " Then what about a dance with me? "

   " Sorry, but I don't want to go back into that ballroom until there are fewer people inside. "

   " I didn't intend to go back inside. What if we danced here, under the stars? That way we won't be shoved into each other and then we can just relax in the cool night air. "

   " Sure, why not Sir Jin. "

   " Then may I have this dance Lady Y/n. "

He held his hand out to you and you set yours in his. He brought you closer to him and put one hand on your waist and the other held your hand gently. Your free arm rested on his arm that wrapped around your waist. A smile appeared on both of your faces and with the stars above you, you could see them in his deep blue eyes. With the loud music slowly playing in the background you two started to sway to the music with the wind greeting your skin every now and again.

Inside the ballroom, Elina stopped dancing with the man she had been flirting with all night. He was a delight and they both enjoyed each other's company. She found Genevive at the food table.

   " Where is Y/n? "

   " I think I saw her go outside. "

   " Let's check on her. "

Genevive nodded and the two started making their way to the same glass doors you walked through. When they got to the doors and looked outside they saw you and Jin dancing together. Of course, they only knew that Jin walked you to your room and helped you clean, but that was it. They had hoped something would bloom between the two of you and it seems that it was happening. Genevive and Elina smiled at the dance and turned away from the door.

   " Let's leave them alone. "

   " Yeah, Y/n deserves a break and some love. She's never really acted like this around a guy. She looks so comfortable with him. "

   " Doesn't she? " A new voice said joining the conversation.

The queen was behind the two girls and smiled at seeing the assassin with her maid. She secretly wanted them to be together too. She honestly found Jin, who was looking for you, and told him where you were and he headed there immediately.

   " Queen Harding! "

   " Please calm down. Don't be stiff. "

The girls relaxed their shoulders a little bit but then Genevive brought up the question,

   " Wait you want them together too? "

   " Yes! I do! I see how cute they act together and it makes me feel like I'm reading one of my romance novels. I see how hard Y/n works and she deserves this. "

   " I couldn't agree anymore Queen Harding! "

   " Yeah! " Elina cheered. 

   " Girls please call me by my first name. It makes us all more comfortable but let's keep that between us three okay? "

   " Alright, Aileen. Now, let's start planning Y/n's wedding. "

All three ladies squealed in delight at the thought of you and Jin getting married. Of course, if Quinn found out he would have Jin's head on a gold platter. Truly your name was written in the stars and to everyone it seemed that it was written with Jin Qiqiang's name right beside it. Except for one individual.
