We kept walking through the woods with nothing interesting happening. It was just a walk through the woods and we had been walking for days. We only stopped when the moon was in the sky and we climbed the trees to sleep. Our items were still at the house and we couldn't go back and get those. 

   " We shouldn't be far from the walls to Chevalier. When we get there I've contacted an old friend I made in the rebellion. He'll help us sneak in. "

   " I got it while we were shopping. I know it's not a big diamond or anything, but it's all we could afford right now, and I wanted to get you a ring. To say you're engaged and that I am capable of getting you a ring. "

   " Jin, thank you. I love it. "

Jin slipped the ring onto my engagement ring finger and squeezed my hand tightly.

   " I wish I had gotten a ring for you. "

   " Don't worry about it sweetie. I got that covered. "

I looked at Jin's hand and saw a silver band on his finger. It was a plain silver band, with nothing special on it. I smiled at Jin and tugged his hand in the direction we were walking. The air was coldish but it wasn't as bad now because of the sun bearing down on us. We had walked for miles from the last city and I could finally see the wall ahead of us. 

   " This way. "

Jin tugged me closer to the wall and we walked along with it until there was a small crack in the wall. Jin placed his hand in the crack and pushed it into the wall and then to the left. I was surprised to see the wall move. It was a small square portion that moved.

   " Why is this here? "

   " This empire used to be one that thieves would roam. There are passageways everywhere. The thriving only stopped when King Sile Chevalier came into power. He was a thief as well but he became king because he was one of the best. That's why the empire is named Chevalier Empire. The Chevalier family has ruled for years without interruption. "

We walked into the wall and Jin put the wall back in place. We started walking along the wall and keeping close to it so we wouldn't get lost. It was dark and with what light we had, it looked like an abandoned hiding spot.

   " What happened here? Did people used to live here? "

   " Yeah, a long time ago when Sile Chevalier was still in power he ordered all of the guards to search the thieves' quarters, hiding spots, and guilds. He asked them to be searched and he made a decree that there will be no more stealing. If there was any there would be death. "

   " But he was one of them. "

   " And because he grew up like them he grew up wanting power. So, in order to keep the power-"

   " He had to eliminate the competition. "

   " Exactly. So because he was the best among the best he knew where to search. So places like this were abandoned because he knew thieves were here and they didn't want to get caught. "

   " I feel as if it will take years for us to be out of sight, but for now, no. "

   " Well, you both can stay at my place. It's near the wall so we won't get caught coming in and out of these hollow stone walls. "

   " Thanks, and let me introduce you two. Y/n this is Benjamin a friend of mine I made in the rebellion. His family has lived here for years, so he knows this city backwards and forwards. Benjamin this is my fiance Y/n. "

   " You too little lady. So, you finally found a partner Jin? And it's the crazed king's woman. I must say you know how to pick em. "

In Madrathia Quinn continued starring at the map in front of him. He was trying his hardest to locate you but it was hard, knowing that you had an experienced assassin with you. The king's assassins have been everywhere so, Jin knew the land of the empire and the neighboring empires around. So, it was going to be hard to track him down.
