Chapter 3: Titania and The She-Demon

Mira's P.O.V 3rd Person

She honestly didn't know what she was doing here. She needed someone to talk to. A girl, to be exact. With everything in her head, Mira thought it would be best to vent or to talk to someone.

At first, Mira thought a nice spa trip would help. Wrong. Mira just ended up overheating the spa water to boiling water with her magic unknowingly as soon as she let her thoughts roam free.

She took a job earlier to scare off some bandits. She thought maybe it would help to release some magic energy. But then Mira ended up beating the living crap out of the bandits in a rage frenzy.

But she wasn't going to lie, it did help relieve a little bit of stress. But then she gained some more, remembering the fact that pregnant women with magic should be cautious with how much magic they use.

Her anger and sadness were still with her, and now rumor was spreading that the She-Demon was resurfacing; just because of the little 'beating'. The stress is also killing her. She needs to talk, and she needs to do it now because if she keeps her feelings inside, not only will it effect herself, but her baby as well.

So where is she you ask? Why, outside of Erza Scarlet's door. She could have talked to Lisanna, but Lisanna went on a mission with Bixslow, Evergreen, and Freed two days ago. She won't be back for at least another day. And if Mira told Elfman about this, he would either shout at how unmanly Laxus was being, or actually pick a fight with the Dragonslayer. And Mira doesn't really want anyone to know about her pregnancy unless she's the one to tell the person.

So she figured that maybe talking to her ex-rival would help her. But what she didn't expect was seeing the mighty Titania standing there in her doorway, with watery eyes and insanely noticeable reddened eyes and nose.

"Erza?.."

Erza's 3RD P.O.V

Erza was just wallowing in her sadness, eating strawberry cake on her red couch. Music was blaring softly, filling Erza with comfort. She read somewhere that music helps the baby. Out of all the girls, Erza was the one who took the pregnancy and rejection pretty well. There were tears every once in a while, but nothing to dramatic. However, she did cry a river one in a while as reality strucked her.

But after eating 75% of her third whole strawberry cake she heard a knock on her door. Setting her strawberry cake down on her coffee table, Erza walked over to the door and was surprised to see Mira.

Erza looked at Mira and noticed that the barmaid looked like a mess. Her bangs were untied and she carried a aura of distressed and anxiety. Her cheeks and eyes were also red and overall, she looked dreadful.

"Erza?.." Mira sniffled gently.

"O-oh, Mira." Erza replied. There was an awkward silence between the two before Erza opened her door wider.

"Where are my manners. Come in." Erza welcomed. Mira smiled apologetically before stepping in Erza's dorm.

Mira sat on the end of Erza's red couch while Erza sat on the other end.
"...so, what brings you here?" Erza asked awkwardly. Mira gulped before pointing at Erza's leftover cake. "May I?" Mira asked meekly.

"Uh, sure?" Erza said quizzically. Silently, Mira lifted the cake platter and gazed at it for a few seconds before smashing the remaining cake into her face.

"M-Mira-- what are you doing!?" Erza gasped.

"Trying to wash my misery away." Mira sobbed miserably as tears started to stream out of her eyes again.

"U-uh-- I-- um??" Erza was at a loss of words.

"Laxus rejected me!" Mira admitted/cried out.

"He rejected me and my-- our baby! He said he wanted nothing to do with me! How could he!! I know he's been talking to Cana and all, but I thought he would understand!" Mira screamed and sobbed as the same time.

Erza just silently sat there with wide eyes, listening to her friend's rant.

"Y-You know, I would have been fine even if he supported me just a little bit! But he just threw me away! I bet if males were the ones to get pregnant instead of girls, they'd probably understand! B-But just, why!?" Mira cried, slamming her face into the remains of Erza's cake over and over again.

Erza quickly grabbed the plate full of mashed cake out of Mira's hands. And the fork and knife Erza was using earlier.

"J-Just why?..." Mira croaked, her voice raspy and full of sadness and sorrow.

Erza awkwardly grabbed Mira by the shoulders and hugged her.

Mira hugged back and sobbed into Erza's shoulder. Erza inwardly cringed at the mess Mira made on her shoulder.

"There, there. It'll get better." Erza reassured calmly.

"How do you know?!" Mira sobbed.

"I don't. But I do believe that if we look forward we'll see a light. A better outcome. We just have to believe it'll be alright." Erza whispered.

"Yeah... Yeah..." Mira breathed as she forced her eyes closed and thought about her future. "I'm just-- I'm just so scared!" Mira revealed.

"I am too." Erza admitted. She listened to Mira's struggles for the past 10 minutes, comforting the girl when she had a breakdown.

"Promise me you'll help me. And be by my side as my friend." Mira sobbed out.

"I promise. But you have to do the same thing for me." Erza said back, tears slipping out from her eyes.

'I have to be strong. For both Mira and my baby. And for myself.' Erza thought.

"I promise, Erza." Mira promised.

After an hour Mira managed to calm down.

"That rant... It feels so good to let it out." Mira smiled sadly.

"So... Your pregnant?" Erza softly asked.

"Yeah. With Laxus as the Father as I mentioned earlier." Mira said, taking deep breaths in between to keep her from crying again.

"How far in." Erza asked. Forgetting about Laxus for a moment, Mira tenderly placed her hand on her stomach, "Two weeks. Honestly, it happened on the night of Master's birthday."

"...So the anniversary of a life, is also the day which another life sparked alive, huh?" Erza said fondly.

Mira smiled, "I've never thought about it like that."

"You have an idea for a name?" Erza asked.

"Well, with all what's been happening and all my stress, I haven't really thought about that..." Mira bit her lip.

"That's fine. You still have 9 months to go. But honestly, I have. I was thinking of naming my child Celine, if she's a girl, or Alexander if he's a boy." Erza smiled as she rubbed her stomach.

"E-Eh? E-Erza, don't tell me..." Mira trailed off. "Are you pregnant!?"

Erza nodded slowly, "I knew I forgot something..."

"E-Erza, that's great!" Mira squealed, "Who's the Father?!"

Erza frowned and looked at her hands.

"Jellal..." Erza muttered sadly.

"Erza, you seem sad all of a sudden." Mira frowned, worried.

"Well long story short, I also got rejected. Me and the baby, both." Erza sighed.

"Oh my, Erza! I've been talking your ears off for an hour about my problems when you have your own! I'm so sorry!" Mira apologised. "Don't be. You helped me get rid of some stress too anyways." Erza said.

"But still! I can't help but feel like a burden now!" Mira exclaimed. "Don't worry Mira, it's fine. I've taken on the situation calmly. I'm fine. I really am." Erza smiled.

"Well enough about me then, how about you!? How long are you in?" Mira exclaimed.

"Same as you. I got pregnant on Master's birthday as well." Erza informed. "That's-- That's wonderful, Erza. And quite coincidental." Mira smiled.

"Yes... But yknow, I was also thinking of moving." Erza admitted.

"M-Moving? Why?" Mira asked.

Erza looked out her window, "I don't know. It's just that, I've been having some feelings. I've been craving for something new."

Mira kept silent.

"I want to travel. I want my child to be safe. And Fairy Tail is a good place, but with the recent events we had I don't know." Erza sighed.

"...I'll travel with you." Mira finally said. "I too want to get a new scenery. I don't want my child to grow up here and be questioned as a mistake. Even if all the people here are nice souls."

Erza nodded, "I know how you feel." "So let's travel. Let's help each other out. Let's live together and have our children grow up together." Mira smiled. "That sounds... nice. Wonderful even." Erza smiled back.

"But when they get old enough, we'll return." Erza said. "...Sure." Mira agreed.

"Sad though, I had hoped my child would grow up with Fairy Tail just as I did." Erza said sadly.

Mira nodded, "It would've been ideal... But I don't think I could handle watching Laxus and Cana making out all the time..."

Erza chuckled, "Don't you mean just Cana? No disrespect but whenever I watch it's mostly her doing the work."

Mira let out a genuine laugh that rang around Erza's home, "Truth to that!"

"But I think I should head home already and start packing my stuff. Afterall, it sounds like we'll be gone for a while... But you'll be okay?" Mira asks softly.

"I'll be fine. Thanks Mira." Erza thanked.

"No, thank you, Erza." Mira smiled brightly for the first time in what seemed like forever.

And despite all her past sessions of crying, Mira thought to herself.

Maybe this won't be that bad afterall.
