Chapter 3

Dewey sat down an a chair, his vision fixated on his feet as they swung back and forth, in his Uncle Scrooge's office with his Uncle Donald in the room as well.

"Dewey?" Donald stated. "Now, tell me why you're in trouble." This was a concept that Donald had used to discipline the triplets when they were living on the house boat. He would sit them down and ask them what they had done wrong as a way to let them know that they were in trouble. Dewey looked up slightly.

"Um.......I....." Dewey looked back down.

"Dewey?" Donald stated once again. "What did you do wrong?" Dewey looked up fully this time.

"I......I didn't do anything wrong." Dewey said slightly angry. Scrooge stood in back as more of support if Donald needed any help, after all, the triplets were under his guardian ship. Scrooge lifted an eyebrow in irritation, Donald did the same. "I don't think........I did anything wrong."

"Dewey! You invaded your Uncle Scrooge's privacy! You broke into a room that was off limits, and you knew that!" The middle triplet looked down, his hand tightened in grip. He muttered something under breath.

"Did you say something, Dewey?" Scrooge asked.

"I said! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!" He yelled standing up quickly from the chair, which then fell over with the force.

"Sit back down! We're not done here!" Scrooge yelled.

"But I didn't do anything! Sure maybe I, kind of, sort of, broke in, and found some things out and maybe tried telling my brothers......but it's nothing wrong......right?" Donald sighed.

"Go to your room......."

"What?"

"Dewey, go to your room, you're grounded." Dewey froze  in place, his eyes widened. He and his brothers had never been grounded before, so this was a first. His body shook in fear and shock before running out of the room.

"Was that a good idea?" Scrooge asked.

"I don't know......he's never gotten grounded before." Dewey continued running past the room that he and his brothers shared.

"Dewey!?" The other two triplets called out. Huey and Louie looked at each other before running after their brother. Dewey ended up running towards the room with his mother's body. Tears were streaming down his face as he threw himself to the floor by the small table next to the door, Huey and Louie caught up not too long after and tried catching their breath. Dewey sobbed into his arms loudly, he didn't know what to do.

"Dewey? You okay?" Louie asked. The middle triplet shook his head and continued crying.

"Come here." Huey sat down next to his brother and held him close. "It's okay. What's wrong?" Dewey shook his head and tried getting out of the embrace. "Dewey it's fine, stay here with us." Dewey pushed away roughly and turned away. Louie looked at him in shock, as well as Huey. Dewey stood up and ran away towards the front of the house not looking back at his brothers who now, too, had tears in their eyes.
