After the crash, everyone had eventually been stranded ashore on the beach nearby. Out of the five bodies that had been beached, Yuliy was the first to wake. Sitting his body up, his sapphire eyes trailed down to the two beside him. 'That's right,' he recalled back to a moment before the crash; '(name) held me and Mikhail prior to the ship crashed.' A feeling of guilt fluttered inside Yuliy's chest. Once again, he put those he cared for in harm's way.

'Maybe if I hadn't met them, this wouldn't have happened.'

That feeling of guilt that wouldn't wash away. It was a pitiful sensation that Yuliy knew everyone would laugh at. Concluding to himself that he needed to leave before the others woke up, Yuliy stood up on a mini journey to find Willard. Even if he was unconscious, Yuliy wanted to see him one last time (ONE LAST TIMMMMMMEEEE! WE'LL teACH THEM HOw TO SaY GOODbYEE).

Finding the professor on the beach, Yuliy bent down on his knee and bowed his head. He couldn't say anything. What was he to say anyways?  Yuliy stood back up, readying himself to leave. That was until a voice shocked him.

"You're not gonna say goodbye?"

Turning on reflex, Yuliy was surprised to see (name) standing there with sad eyes. As if time had stopped, Yuliy's sapphire eyes met with (name)'s (e/c) ones that held a crimson hue below them; all the while, neither said a word, almost as if it was a mental game to see who would speak first.

The winner was quite obvious.

Opening her mouth, (name) repeated her question. "Are you really not going to say goodbye? You're planning to leave... aren't you?" Her voice cracked at the end. The sudden crack of emotion made Yuliy flinch but he knew he couldn't beat around the bush. (Name) knew him too well for that.

With a shameful nod of his head, the Sirius survivor averted his gaze anywhere but the girl in front of him, "...yeah" he exhaled out. It was only for a second but Yuliy decided to glance at (name). Bad idea.

Tears pooled within her cursed (e/c) gems all the while she bit her lip as if to stop herself from crying. Once again, guilt piled up inside Yuliy's chest upon looking at the younger one. 'There are so many things I want to say to you. Gratitude. Love. Pain. I want to express all of my past and current feelings to you.' Yuliy thought in agony.

'But if I did that now, there would be no way I would be able to leave.'

His mental state was at war right now. Should he tell (name) his feelings and leave relieved with his feelings or should he not tell (name) his feelings and leave with the guilt that someone could potentially take her away?

Which was the less hurtful one-

"I hope you're not thinking of ways to leave me behind, Yuliy." (Name)'s voice rang through the Sirius' ears as he looked at her. Almost as if his eyes were betraying him, his gaze revealed his hidden intention of him leaving.

Eyes widening in anger, (name) walked closer to Yuliy before clenching her fist and colliding it with Yuliy's cheek. Due to both shock and the force of (name)'s action, the older of the two staggered for a second, eyes wide.

It took a moment for Yuliy to regain his composure but it took him milliseconds to understand how mad (name) was. Her fist was more than enough to explain her seething rage.

"There you go, again!"

She shouted confusing the freshly injured teen. When he was about to open his mouth to speak, the half-vampire beat him to it with "and don't you dare say that you don't want to involve me any more than you have!" That shut Yuliy up right there.

(Name)'s eyebrows furrowed and her tears that she worked hard to hold back, slowly leaked out. "You keep saying how you don't want to include others when we're the ones intruding on you. Don't you remember what Bishop said earlier? That this isn't just your fight anymore! Everyone who helped you get here now has been included for a while now and we're all willing to help you because we care! I care, Yuliy. Because I worry, I'm also afraid."

The last part made Yuliy's head spin and heart beat. He was confused yet touched that (name) would feel such a way towards him. And seeing her lovely eyes leak with sad tears filled Yuliy with an overflowing sensation of fault.

How many times has he made her cry now?

Opening his mouth to speak, Yuliy let the first words on his mind escape through the barrier of his lips. "I don't want to make you cry anymore" he gently announced. Placing a hand on his injured cheek, he gazed into (name)'s eyes. Then he spoke again, "I hate being the reason you cry. During our time in Japan, I've done nothing but made you cry. I hate that." The emotions in Yuliy's voice were blunt and straightforward but his eyes were the softest (name) had ever seen them. Noticing that his gaze belonged to her alone made a blush creep upon her features.

She thought it was unfair how Yuliy made her anger wash away with such ease. Still, the fact that the two might separate scared her. For four years they've done nothing but stick together, so the thought that they would no longer be able to do so made her anxious.

"Yuliy. You know that there will be people who will pursue you, right?" The half-vampire asked with eyes that expressed nothing but pain.

Of course Yuliy knew there would those who would come after him for the Ark; but he wanted to use that as an advantage as well. Nodding his head, Yuliy placed a hand on (name)'s cheek, "of course I do. I've been searching for the Ark for ten years so I wouldn't be surprised if someone came after me! Besides, I'm sure I'll be alright!" The Sirius tried to lighten the mood by laughing at the end of his response. Unfortunately, that made (name)'s rage bubble up once again as she slapped away his hand and grabbed his coat at the collar.

"No! You won't be alright! It's people and monsters we're talking about, you idiot! They could hurt you or even kill you! Have you forgotten that there are people who care and worry about you? If you were to die or get injured because of a promise you wanted to pursue, then what would happen to the people who care about you?! How would they react?!"

(Name)'s yelling didn't cease as she gave a glare that could drive even the most threatening demon away. She was enraged what Yuliy didn't stop to think about the dangers that lurked with holding the Ark. Now everyone who chase him to get it back. Even if it meant to kill him and (name) knew this. "People are stubborn and won't change their ways just because you told them to. They're manipulative, sly, and smart meaning they'll find many ways to harm you! I don't want that!" Her voice had cracked in the end and she knew that her tears had began to grow.

Her heart squeezed inside her chest and it became harder to breathe. As if it was her body having a battle between whether or not she should let Yuliy go.

Perhaps it was because of the tears or (name)'s conflicting expression that made Yuliy look back on things. He used to think that reliance was a waste of time, but thinking back to these past few days, he's realized that relying on others wasn't meant to be a chore. Relying and trusting others had its rewards being relationships worth fighting for. And the one to teach him that was (name).

Now that he's learned the value of reliance, he didn't want to give that up. He didn't want to depend on everyone and end up being left behind- he wanted someone to rely on when he needed it most. And if it wasn't (name), the one he trusted the most, then who else would it be?

He knew what he had to do.

Grabbing (name)'s shoulders out of the blue made her close her mouth. Before she could ask what was up, Yuliy pressed his lips on hers. The sudden action widened the half-vampire's unique orbs as she felt Yuliy's slightly chapped lips on her own.

After a few seconds, (name)'s tensity softened and she began to kiss back not knowing what Yuliy had in mind. Deeming that the younger one was calm, the Sirius separated their lips with a small smile, "then, would you mind coming with me?" This caught (name) off guard as she kept her gaze on the taller one. Breathing out a "what?" made Yuliy chuckle. Maybe this was the right time.

"(Name), to be honest, I've learned a lot from you. That I'm not alone- I have comrades. That everyone has a story. We all suffer some sort of regret. But most importantly, you've taught me to rely on others. I can't thank you enough for that. Throughout the years we've known each other, I've also come to learn something."

A blush made its way to Yuliy's facial features causing (name) to wonder what he would say. It had to be something embarrassing due to his face, though.

"(Name) (last). I... I-I'm in love with you!"

(E/C) eyes widened like saucers. A feeling of relief, joy, and ecstasy filled (name)'s heart. Her nerves jolted alive and her aching muscles relaxed. Realizing that she was falling to the sand, Yuliy quickly took a hold of her. "(Name)! What's wrong?" He swiftly asked. The girl sighed a shaky sigh as she gave Yuliy a smile that was complimented by her blushing face and tears eyes.

"Of course, I'll go with you! I love you too, Yuliy Jirov!"

Seeing her expression shattered Yuliy's heart 'so FREAKING cute!' Thus starting his attacks of kisses on (name)'s face.

Literally, I've rewritten this chapter so many times because of my stubbornness and dissatisfaction.

I would write one thing and think 'wait... if I think back and read the beginning of this chapter, this would look too sudden. Mmm... maybe I'll rewrite this." And that happened... too many times for me to remember so if anything looks a bit too out of place then it's probably because I forgot to fix that part.
