I slowly opened the door to get inside
"Gwen, are you there in here?"

(Back to the current time)

"What do you want?" a very annoyed Gwen emerged from the hall. From the looks it seems like she was applying nail polish.

Well, here goes nothing.

"I wanted to talk to you" I said with a special emphasis on the word 'talk'.

"Oh really?" She asked raising her left eyebrow. I just nodded my head.

"Well,news Flash big sis, I don't wanna talk to you." She said with with a smirk and turned to go in the hall again.

"Wait Gwen!!" I called out while following her. She continued to ignore me.

"Gwen, listen to me!" She stopped. Finally!!

"What?" She snapped back.

I took a deep breath. Come on Irine, you can do it!

"Why are you so bitchy towards me?"
I asked calmly. But my insides were doing a disco dance. Gwen seemed shocked by my question but quickly covered it with a smirk.

"I am bitchy?" She barked a laugh " Oh please big sis, we both know who is the bitch here. It's you!"She exclaimed with rage clear in her eyes.

I'm a bitch? This girl needs a counselor more than me.

" What do you mean? I am not the one who suddenly left your side! Am I the one who passes on other one fucking comments?  Am I the one emotionally harassing the other one? Am I the one who keeps on reminding of my past?" All the anger and frustration pent up inside me against Gwen was coming out.

" For Christ's sake Irine it was not your fault!" Gwen shouted. Fresh tears were streaming down her face.

" It's not your fault that Stacy switched schools. Can you get it through that thick skull of yours! Whatever happened to her had nothing to do with you!!" She shouted once again.

I was shocked at her sudden out burst. If she knew, then why is she accusing me everyday?

She seemed to understand my question an then gave me a sad smile. Her eyes held the emotions of sadness and the feeling of losing someone.

" I said all those things to you because you were not your self for the past 5 months" She chuckled sadly.

" not my self?" I said. Dumbfounded.

" Yes. You are the brave one and I am the timid one. You are the one who is supposed to face her fears, not run away from them. Cause you are my big sis. The one who is not even afraid of the boogie man." She finished and sat down on the couch sobbing. Her speech made tears spring out of my eye sockets. The most important thing was she remembers the 'boogie man' incident!

All I did was kneel in front of her and hug her. She stiffened for a moment and then hugged me back. She kept on sobbing on my t-shirt. I could feel the wet patch on my shoulder. Some stray tears kept on escaping from my eyes as well. It felt so good to hug her again. My younger sister was back. And she doesn't hate me anymore. This could be the happiest moment of my life.

" I love you big sis" She said. Her voice was muffled as her mouth was pressed against my shoulder.

I chuckled." I love you too" I said. I felt safe again now that one person less hated me. And it's all thanks to him.

Me and Gwen were now seated on the couch watching Inside Out. It was one of Gwen's favorite movies. I felt sad that I came to know about it now. But, nevermind.

" Hey sis" Gwen said as the credits started to role.

I responded with a 'Hmm' as my mouth was stuffed with a brownie.

" Who told you to talk to me?" as she asked that question, I choked on my brownie.

" What? " I asked with a bewildered look.

" What I mean is, someone might have given you an opinion about talking to me and sorting things out. According to the current state of your brain, you couldn't have come up with such a brilliant idea" She said while smirking. This girl knows me well, despite the gap of 5 months.

" Um.... A friend of mine?" My response was more of a question than an answer.

Great work,genius!

"Oh! Is he your boyfriend?"  She asked while smirking.

I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks. Kou my boyfriend? Too good to be true.

" He is not my boyfriend!" I said while blushing.

"Oh so the person was a he" Gwen retorted while smirking.
" do you like him?" She asked with a sly grin.

" Of course I like him! He is my friend!" I said,  knowing this was not the response she was looking for.

Gwen gave me flat look.
"Seriously? " She asked as if I am a mentally challenged patient.

" I mean. I might like him a little bit..." I said, dragging my sentence.

" Now that's the response I was looking for." She beamed happily.

" ahaha. Look at the time. It's way past our bed time. Mom will be angry if she came to know about it. It's better if we go to bed" Gwen snickered at my pitiful attempt to change the subject.

She got up and kissed my cheek." good night sis" She said and walked to her room.

I am really glad that I like that Asian boy.

As I entered the corridor, the first thing I saw was Kou leaning against my locker. I quickly dashed towards him.

"Kou!" I shouted.  He turned to look at me and raised his hand to wave at me, but I just jumped on him to engulf him in a bear hug.

" thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you soo much!" I said while hugging and giggling at the same time. Strange. I never was the type to giggle. I guess this guy here has a huge impact on me.

Kou seemed a bit shocked at first but later he returned my hug.

" My advice worked?" he asked as we loosened our grip on each other. I felt a little lonely as his warmth suddenly left me. But I covered my loneliness with a cheeky smile.

" Oh yes it did. I am so glad to have my sis back!" I exclaimed. It truly made me feel stronger to have Gwen supporting my back.

" Glad to hear so" Kou smiled. It seemed like he wanted to say something else but Ally cut him off.

" What has made your daisy bloom so happily " Ally asked smiling.

" Me and Gwen are on talking terms again" I said while grinning

"What?" "seriously?"  were the responses of Ally and Zach.

"yup!" I said.

" Well, good to know the bitch is no longer a bitch" Zach said.

" careful, she is my sister" I said with a playful glare.

Zach rose his hands in mock surrender.

" why don't we have a night out at your house. Bow that your mom is not there at home and your sis is back to normal, we should have some fun!" Ally exclaimed. Zach nodded in agreement.

" Kou should join us too. The more the merrier" Zach said while grinning.

" I can?" Kou asked while pointing at himself.

" Of course you can silly, Irine doesn't mind. Do you Irine? " Ally asked while looking at me.

" Of course I don't! " I said in a fake enthusiastic voice. Luckily no one noticed it.

" so count me in guys" Kou said while grinning.

Zach did said that the more the merrier.  But the forgot that too many cooks spoil the soup.

Just on time ,the warning bell rang and all the students started to move towards their class.

I've got a feeling, that tonight's gonna be a very long night.
