Espers. An individual capable of paranormal abilities. The term was apparently coined by Alfred Bester in his 1950 short story "Oddy and Id" and is derived from the abbreviation ESP for extrasensory perception. 

What if, in the generations to come, our DNA manipulated so that one could become an esper. Cool right? But because life is a cold-hearted bitch, not everyone's DNA was able to form this gene, leading us to a Nesper. 

The period of which our story is set in is a period of which the number of Espers and Nespers are roughly even. Roughly. Like 50:52 to espers if you want to get mathematical. Moving on. Our protagonist is, fortunately, a very capable esper. 

As an author of this story, I cannot be one-sided because there will be many Nespers who are genuinely good people but there will be some who are just ugh! You'll understand as the story develops. Oh, don't go thinking that espers are all heroes that are discriminated for no reason.

Our story will highlight some of the issues that any world with contrasting characteristics would have. 

This is Evanora's story, told as honestly as an Esper like me could tell it.
