It's so cold

The sky was pitch black, not a star was shining the only light that was outside was coming from the moon.  The tall girl in her bed sat up in a cold sweat, tears streamed down her face.

"Kelsey? Kelsey!?" She looked around before shutting up. "Oh right..." She wiped the tears off her almond skin.

Salem sighed as she forced herself to get up out of bed, she turned on her bedside lamp. Salem walked over to her dresser to grab a scrunchie and put her black hair up.

Salem walked over to her bed laying back down the moment she sat on it. She stared at the ceiling, her mind racing with thoughts.

'If only I saved her.'

'If only I was there.'

'If only I listened.'

'It's all your fault.'

'You caused this'

' You should have just stayed away.'

'You're not sorry'

'I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!'

Salem tried to close her eyes, hoping that the thoughts would shut up if she fell asleep. She started thinking  her , she shouldn't of but she did.

She had flashbacks about what she saw when she walked into the bathroom, she remembered the blood and... She remembered the cuts... There were so many.... So many cuts... She could remember the place of every cut...

Salem wanted the images to leave her memory, she wanted her mind to shut up, never make noise again. She wamted it all to shut up.

Salem curled up, the breeze from her window making her cold. It reminded her of her , she looked so cold there... In the bathtub water.... The water was freezing too... She must of been so cold.

Salem wanted to scream, to cry, to yell, to stop her.... But she couldn't... She had been frozen, frozen in place like a deer in headlights. Salem wanted to scream or cry just at the memories.

She wouldn't risk waking up her siblings though, as she finally started to fall asleep. Salem felt cold.. So cold... She felt like she was under water in ice cold water. She couldn't move, couldn't breathe.

It was too cold for her to sleep peacefully that night.
